its funny thing to think that young people and all these tic toc's ppl might not have idea who REM is. I grew up on them, listening them on the cassettes! Their music means so much to me...I remember...It was start of 90s, dont know like 1992 or 1993 I was in Italy, walking down the street and their song Shiny Happy People was playing on every corner...everything was so full of colours and happiness, people were wearing very colorful clothes, it was happy times...and this band was becoming one of the biggest bands ...miss those times...love their album Out of time and Monster. Iconic albums.
Back in the early ‘80’s I asked a local record store owner for music recommendations. At the time I was listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet, somewhat typical music for an early 20s Air Force guy.
As much as people are saying they miss R.E.M. - they wrote so many great songs that you can listen over and over again for a lifetime and it think it was the right move to end on a high note, "Blue" fading out on their last album was the perfect ending.
Mam I love this group of artists! After all the years, I believe I can still remember where I was each time I heard every REM song, for the first time.
Am I the only 1 who still misses R.E.M
Stipe is so very humble. Great performance.

I wish they still performed. It would be incredible.

One of the best vocalists of any band, and easy to hear what he is saying unlike some singer's who are inaudible.
After all this time still great!!!
