- Let's teardown the lower unit on my 1973 Evinrude outboard motor. The lower unit has not had much maintenance since it was new almost 50 years ago. In this episode we'll dismantle the lower unit and start to clean things up.

Man, I wish I had a neighbor like you!
I really do have fantastic neighbors on both sides.
I have what looks like gear oil coming out the scag hole what causes that
i have this same motor wondering how to trim the motor with out it kee slipping all the way negative
There should be a cross bar that fits across the transom clamp that is the manually adjustable trim. The trim bar does have a habit of disappearing on older outboards so yours may be gone.
i have a 1961 evinrude 18hp 15034 i need to do a lower unit rebuild my self can u add all the parts numbers to all the parts you used in the rebuild of this video thank you
I believe I added all of the parts in the description of one of this build series, affiliated links for those that came from Amazon. As for coming up with a parts list now, sorry it was about two years ago and I do not have to parts list
