As someone who aspires to be a producer this speaks to me emotionally. This is the most beautiful art ever. It takes an inhuman amount of skill and effort to craft every single sound in the beat to kill a small part of my soul. The perfect amount to not drive you to the brink of death but keep you in a state of malding. This is the auditory equivalent of Ted Cruz’s face.
In all fairness to make something sound so hilarious purely through instrumentals and sampling, without any lyrics is actually quite an achievement. Some of the best ‘comedy music’ I’ve heard. I’ve never genuinely had a laughing fit to a piece of music until I found this guy.
I audibly laughed when you said Danny Brown would sound good on that one beat. This whole lineup is literally just samples of future bangers from Danny Brown and Peggy.
In history class last year we had to make a song about a historical event (our group did Chernobyl) so as a joke me and my group partners used multiple of these beats (10,16, and 19), mashed them over each other, and screamed at the top of our lungs in the background. We had a sub because the original teacher was pregnant so she was out for the school year. The substitute teacher gave us a 87/100 somehow...
it really does symbolize the pain and atrocities of Chernobyl. Really should have deserved an A+ but some ppl can't see art for what it is. You may have only gotten a B+ on the project, but you got an A+ in life. Congrats!
I unironically listened to number 10 a fair amount earlier this year. I couldn't break away from it, it was so fucking catchy. It was really annoying, but.. fucking hell. I loved the comments. "This is gonna put us back in the hood", or, "'Metro Boomin, you want some more?' 'Nah I'm straight'"

I had a friend who made beats kind of like this. It wasn't as bad, but it would always start out fire, he would just keep adding to it until it sounded like a jumbled mess, like he was never content with his drum loop, he always kept adding orchestra hits and cowbells and shit lol.
I feel like there is a lot of effort in those beats, even if it is an effort to be deliberately bad. In a way that opens the window for them to be perceived as good in certain contexts, dunno, it's not like they're a product of incompetence.
