Small correction, Temur's deadlift of 411 is the heaviest RAW within the IPF ever. The heaviest deadlift ever within the IPF was Krzysztof Wierzbicki with 420kg@105.07kg at EQ World Games in 2017. Also Kosei Yokoyama's 225.5@74kg from bench worlds in Texas should've been mentioned. That pause was unreal for a WR.
@@kanisterkopf9596 No, calling it the "best lifts of 2024" from "powerlifting world" and then only including lifts from one specific division of one specific federation is a joke
@@pbnquantal8842 in equipped competitions, an athlete is gonna need at least 2-3 other people for support. This creates bonds with other team members. On the other hand, all the teams that do raw-only are extremely fragmentated and their athletes barely know each other. So, equipment just creates a heathier envirnment for the athletes. Moreover, the equipment for raw nowadays is equiparable to regular pl equipment of some decades ago, a tks knee sleeve can witstand a 25 plate on top of it. What is the point of "raw" then? Apart from this, to me regular PL is just boring to watch and to compete in. I want to see dudes benching >400kg in in single ply, that is really impressive for me, not raw.
@ those dudes aren’t benching anywhere near that though, it’s their suits and pounds of equipment. It’s not even close to as impressive and I don’t even count it. Julius Maddoxs bench is the best in the world, yet we have guys out benching him by far cause they’re using basically hydraulic press level of compression suits to push the weight for them. (Not good)
@@pbnquantal8842 You sentence can be compared to this: "I prefer high jump rather than pole vault, because pole jump athletes are jumping anywhere near that, it is their pole" or "I prefer mountainbiking rather than motoenduro, because dudes can't cycle anywhere near, it is just the engine".
