    I hate how easy they make 300 kilo look when 200 makes me think I'm gonna die 😂

    • @craigwheeler4760
      @craigwheeler4760 6 годин тому

      300 is no freaking joke. I personally squat on my best day 300 KG. I'm also in the 120 kg class. This year, it's going to take everything in me to get my squat up to 325, and that's if the training goes very well.
      These weights are not meant for normal people. Even training hard, a normal person isn't supposed to get up to those loads

    For Mo's bench, how can they give a start command and then blue light for elbows? Shouldn't they have asked him to re-rack?

    • @MrShugarshane
      @MrShugarshane 12 годин тому +2

      If the side refs give the okay for the starting position, then the center ref has to give the start command even if the center ref doesn't agree the elbows are locked in the starting position

    • @agnidas5816
      @agnidas5816 7 годин тому

      you can see he didn't lock out his elbow in the video even. they want straight arms at the end
      what amazes me is that you are allowed to bump the bar up with your core making it effectively a push press like Tony did. Some guys didn't do that - how much would they do if they were not strict ?

  • @aaronbarlow4376
    @aaronbarlow4376 22 години тому

    My right elbow can't fully lockout. I wonder whether judges take medical issues like that into account.

    • @agnidas5816
      @agnidas5816 7 годин тому

      if you have a medical issue preventing you from competition lifts then you don't compete.
      what more is there to it ?
      this isn't paralympics

    • @aaronbarlow4376
      @aaronbarlow4376 6 годин тому

      @@agnidas5816 One elbow unable to fully lockout should not prevent a competition lift, after all one has basically pressed the weight.
      I mean they allow sumo deadlift which is basically cheating ;)

  • @aaronbarlow4376
    @aaronbarlow4376 22 години тому

    Squats mostly seem to be to parallel. I guess the judges are lenient here.

    • @craigwheeler4760
      @craigwheeler4760 6 годин тому

      Big guys are harder to judge. I've been a high school powerlifting judge in the past. I judged about 24 events in a 6-year span. When you get the bigger guys, it's harder to really tell.
      Also, on a borderline attempt, the judge is supposed to give the benefit of the doubt to the lifter.

      It's not drugs all the time dude.
      That's your way of preventing yourself from trying something difficult. I personally squat 300 kg drug-free. Add bench press near 200 kg , and deadlifted 290.
      I'm in the same class as the guys in this video. And it can be done to a certain extent drug-free.
      There is an athlete you need to look up by the name of Paul Anderson from the 1950s, before steroids were even available to athletes. He lifted more raw, then the current equipped world records. You just don't have the ability to wonder add natural freaks of nature because steroids have taken that from you.
