I'm the 1st officer of that clip. Yeah we are about 200 mtrs over the Landing threshold. The tailwind pushed the plane forward and also the ground effect made the plane flare as well.
If you look at the markings on the runway, its clearly evident that pilot missed the landing threshold on the first attempt, so that why decided to go around which was sensible decision, otherwise this flight could have ended in a horrible disaster. Air India Express Flight 812 crashed in in similar circumstances killing more than 150 people . Captain Zlatko Glušica slept for 90 mins while the plane was on auto pilot and was disoriented when he was trying to land the plane. The cockpit recorder later revealed that he first officer repeatedly asked the captain to abort the landing and go around.
NEVER be afraid to go around (unless due to no noise or fuel for another go ---Its happened more than once) so now we have a 787 touch & go .Right call by the crew

Looked like he went way over the threshold for landing and therefore wouldn't be able to stop the aircraft in time. Second landing looked very good

The first approach was not very good since the 787 had not reached enough time to stop the plane in time edit that just made no sense

That was my thinking when I was shooting it. It didn't look so bad when I was editing the video, but I think that is probably the reason.

Perhaps the plane went in a wee bit too fast by the look of that plane still want to stay afloat when the pilot flare the aircraft.
At the time of shooting it I got the feeling the plane was doing a late touchdown. Smart pilot erring on the side of caution by going around.
