New update for 2024 Crosstrek, Impreza & WRX's!

- On March 22nd, Subaru Canada released a new software update for 2024 Crosstrek, Impreza and WRX models.
Key changes:
- AVH button now permanently in the dock on the 11.6" touchscreen models
- CarPlay album art now in top banner (used to be just a CarPlay logo)
- Only for models with built in navigation CarPlay turn-by-turn directions will appear in the top banner as if you were using the built in navigation
- CarPlay now launches in about half the time
This update is currently available over-the-air to Canadian vehicles only. US vehicles will require a Subaru dealer to install the software update manually.
TSB for this software update is 15-305-22R, released on February 26, 2024.

Just got mine updated by the dealer. 24 Crosstrek Sport in USA.
Do they charge you to update it? If so how much?

@@Luis-ml3uz It was covered under the warranty. Had to complain about some bugs and CarPlay issues.
@@kingkiril sorry I don't know how to get back to comments on UA-cam but I went in to the dealer and asked them if they could update the infotainment system because my phone kept on disconnecting. They did it free of charge without an appointment.
I just got this update OTA on my Crosstrek Wilderness in the USA, so it's at least starting to role out for USA customers now.
I have 2024 Impreza RS and when I tap software update, it immediately shows "up to date", doesn't even take time to check. I also don't know if the infotainment system has internet through my phone's mobile data. How did you see the update?

Before I receive the OTA information, I have already updated my 2024 OB to F91WHM053-880 via usb. I really need the AVH button. (In Canada)

In US
if i have starlink in the US, will this allow me to update via starlink and not goto the dealer?
As of right now, the US only gets it through the dealer. I’m sure it will eventually roll out via FOTA, but right now FOTA seems to be Canada only.
