When I saw this video in my feed I was like oh I dunno if I’m interested, I just want zoos! Then I watched it and I am DYING to see how the little town grows!
Glad that you're aware of the importance of the storehouse/granary, seen many playthroughs where they ignore them and then their economy crashes cause there isn't anyone collecting and then distributing the wares.
I personally like the day/night cycle. It’s always nice to see wonderful games, like Manor Lords, at night. Though I think that on displays that aren’t that bright it might be disliked. But for those of us who have bright enough displays, it looks awesome! Edit: Finished the video, already waiting for Episode 2! This series is gonna be epic!
Thank you that’s really lovely to hear! And yes I completely agree I’ll have to see what the general consensus is on whether it’s bright enough for comfortable watching ☺️
cant express enough how much i appreciate the way you commentate on games!! i usually avoid videos of people playing games ive never heard of because i have autism and it's easy for me to get lost/overwhelmed with new things but that's never been an issue with your channel (which introduced me to planet zoo and jurassic park, both games i didnt know much about before watching your series and now have played dozens of hours each). i really like how you take the time to explain mechanics. even smaller things like the king's road being undeletable is rlly nice!!! idk if it gets tedious in games like planet zoo where you often repeat what key-binds youre using (also amazing tysm) but the effort is *really* appreciated. the accessibility of it all is something i really love about your videos. im looking forward to this as a series and any other games you decide to put on the channel!!! :D
As someone who loves citybuilders but gets overwhelmed by all the different buildings and options, I love how everything was explained. It really helps understand a good way to get started and what buildings to prioritize without being too overwhelming like some tutorial videos I've seen.
I've watched A LOT of Manor Lords vids, and I have to say I like this one most. Understood the game prior to starting and explained well on how to take (important) steps. Bravo !
Shame we can't tip your channel. You're one of the few gentle and productive youtubers these days. I appreciate your creativity and calming demeanor. Take care Paws
I have to say: Manor Lords flew a bit under my radar up until now, but this is great! Plus: let's take some time to apriciate Herman the ox, he's literally the back bone of Pawstown after Ep. 1
I am so so happy about this series. I love your calm way of playing, really revelling in the details of the world and animation. I cannot wait for the next one.
coming back to rewatch this series again :) as an autistic person it's hard to find youtubers that i enjoy watching both actively paying attention and as background noise and your videos are great for both. i really like that you describe what you're doing and why you're doing it, and your voice is really gentle as opposed to lots of other channels who try to be loud and in your face. the actual point of this comment was to say that i agree that the more european town layouts are much more pleasing than the american grid layout! the grid is easier to follow directions or on a map but the natural layouts are so much better for exploring on your own and just existing as part of the world rather than set apart from it.
The squeal of joy that left my mouth when I saw you started this series made my dog come running thinking something was wrong. Your videos have become a calming beacon in the storm of life (even the chaotic dinos). I could watch you do this all day, every day, and not get tired of it. Give Herman chin scratches from us!
Haha thats amazing 🤣 it’s so great to hear that the videos have been something positive for you and I think Herman deserves all the chin scratches in the world doesn’t he - such a good boy ☺️
this is such a BEAUTIFUL, thoughtful game. I study ancient civilisations at university and I love the small details of different civilisations, like the daily life and household. This seems so FUN
Omg! This is amazing! I’ve been playing this game since early access started (my bf knew it would fit my interests in medieval times and city-building games perfectly so he bought it for me lmao) and I’m so excited that one of my newest favourite gameplay channels (I love the Ethical zoo series!) is making content for it! Just the inspiration I needed to start a new town!
You've done a good job for your start mate. Personally I set up a sawmill at least a temp use one, before a tannery as I get it to do a couple planks so I can upgrade the storage building & the hitching post so I can buy another Ox. Then close it down & move the family onto the tannery until I get more people in. After getting the Ox for 20 I then tend to find the two homes with the largest back yards to put veggie patches in for a bit of extra food. Probably not the best thing to spend it on but I find it helps out just that little bit. Provided it's done at the right time of year lol Good luck with your ran, hope you enjoy the playthrough.
Loved this vid!! It's amazing how you make these really complicated games that I would find really intimidating seem so easy... you're great at explaining your game play and why you're doing what you're doing. excited to see the future of pawstown!!
those are some hardworking peasants, working through that rain that lasted for several days lol. this is the first of these types of games i've watched and the narration made it very interesting
Older video, but fun fact- the customization for the Coat of Arms has so much variety that I was actually able to do a pretty faithful replication of my family's!
what a lovely and well crafted game. It would probably take a while for a new player to get the hang of all the information and suggestions provided but it seems you are given enough time to experiment and understand how it works. Very appealing to me 😊 Thanks for showing us how you play it, you seem very knowledgeable in the consequences of your choices. I have subscribed in order to see the second instalment.
I loved this. I love sim games and the historical details is so entertaining. I hope you keep making more. If you could zoom in to some of the details on the panel and map every now and then that would be nice too.
This is a great introduction to the game! Excellent overview at the beginning and really good showcase of gameplay. Been contemplating giving it a go, and now I know I want to. Thank you!
i loved watching you play manor lords!!!! it was such a calm and relaxing video to watch while eating my dinner, i subscribed !!! excited to see more of this series XD
You know I had read a manga eerily similar to this game. There the main character played a game where he had to establish and expand a settlement and fend off his territory from raiders and monsters. it follows a man void of inspiration and is a shut in, but one day he gets a mysterious mail from a game developer who wants him to test his game, and testing he does but the game is so realistic and the npcs are so hardworking that he is finally galvanized that he gets himself together. If anyone wanna check it out the name is "The NPCS in this village making SIM must be real!"
I've already watched a few other youtubers play this. Nice to see you dipping your toes in as well! The game looks awesome. You already have this main street thing going on in your village, even with so few houses.
I’ve been playing this game since launch and I have never successfully gotten past like 40% of the game. I’m on my 9th or 10th run so far and I’m always able to get to housing lvl 2 and start creating swords, shields, shoes, and helmets. I am always able to defend the first fight that makes you wait 1 year then after that I never have enough renown or money to create a new location in another region. Then my food walls apart bc I’m usually around 80-90 people by then that demand a ton of food a month. My farms can’t keep up even with the OX upgrade… Overall fun game though.
I am so pleased you are doing a series on this game. I am a keen follower of yours in Planet Zoo, Jurassic park, and now this game. I was hoping to see your name amongst the UA-camrs doing this game. I'll be watching eagerly for every episode.
Knowing Pawsbuild, those deer are about to get the greatest habitat this world has ever seen
🤣🤣🤣
@@PawsBuildThe person is not lying.
Plus could you make YOUR own ethical dino park
This is so much more calming and contained than Let's Game it Out's video that I just watched lmao
🤣🤣🤣
Literally just came from that video too
Bahaha I was just about to comment that XD
Looks like I'm gonna have to go to let's game it out after this one! 😂
lol he intent it to be that way. lol
When I saw this video in my feed I was like oh I dunno if I’m interested, I just want zoos! Then I watched it and I am DYING to see how the little town grows!
Ye me too
Haha I’m glad you liked it! I’m still obviously going to continue the planet zoo series on the channel but I really wanted to check this out too ☺️
Right! I’m invested.
Glad that you're aware of the importance of the storehouse/granary, seen many playthroughs where they ignore them and then their economy crashes cause there isn't anyone collecting and then distributing the wares.
Growing up with Banished it was burned into my memory to worry about logistics 🤣🙈
Soldiers win battles, logistics win wars
I could watch you build in any game honestly.
Thank you that’s so kind! ☺️
Same! Just listening to his voice makes it for me 😅
I personally like the day/night cycle. It’s always nice to see wonderful games, like Manor Lords, at night. Though I think that on displays that aren’t that bright it might be disliked. But for those of us who have bright enough displays, it looks awesome!

Man I love builder games, seeing someone build up a thriving and interesting looking environment tickles some part in my brain!
Me too haha! I’m glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Another day another banger from Pawsbuild
Haha I hope you enjoy! ☺️

I have to say: Manor Lords flew a bit under my radar up until now, but this is great! Plus: let's take some time to apriciate Herman the ox, he's literally the back bone of Pawstown after Ep. 1

We've come a long way from "Empire Earth", "Age of Empires", "Rise of Nations" and the like. This is next level.
I am so so happy about this series. I love your calm way of playing, really revelling in the details of the world and animation. I cannot wait for the next one.

I thought I only enjoyed planet zoo but I am now already OBSESSED with this game I've never heard of - you are the best paws
I’m so glad you liked it! ☺️
I absolutely love this game!! Glad you like it too. Would love a series in the Chanel of it❤
So do I haha! That’s so good to hear ☺️
I'm lookinf forward to this series! I can't wait to see what the devs do with this game down the line.

i love the way you went full details on doing anything. you're a good lord, sir.
I love this series! Watching this little village grow will be so interesting!
This game looks like something i've been searching for, for ages, time to install
I watched someone else play this in a vod yesterday and the whole time I was like "this game is SO for pawsbuild." Very excited to watch you play! :)
I love how it's smooth paced and nothing like very fast progressing.

If you build big enough plots its no problem to feed a small town of tens of people for over a year just from back yard veggies!

my two youtube obsessions right now are your channel and manor lords playthroughs this is EVERYTHINGGGGG!!!!!!
This game looks absolutely insane, I love the detail of the work and I hope to see more from you in the future
Loving your gameplay. Its the kind of chillness I expect from gameplays of games like these, and you're delivering it so perfectly.
