I hate to say it, but UA-cam introducing the partnership program in the late 2000s was the downfall of UA-cam. Monetization killed creativity. I definitely want creators to get paid for their craft, but getting it through ad revenue is cancerous. That's why I always try to support my favorite creators on patreon.

This is so real, ive been noticing that ive been looking at older videos (2014-2016 era) just because they are kind-of a “breath of fresh air” if you will. But naw its crazy that things need to be happening every second just to have our attention spans shortened in the process :/

The shortening of attention spans is a great point and as you point out it is due to the flood of short form content i.e.tik tok and youtube shorts. I also think doomscrolling on social media is another cause of short attention spans and it is an addiction to the phone that keeps so many people from touching grass that further drives them to their online echo chambers. Its a sad self feeding cycle that you must make a conscious effort to break yourself of and millions of us all suffer from it.
Ay bruh everyone is tired of it, dw it has hit a low to usher in a new era of content . However there’s always gonna be crazy content that’s geared towards kids but some of us are growing up and that’s the audience that will appreciate more down to earth content, especially after seeing the extremes

I do agree with you. It feels as if content has just become too extreme. People are either on one side or another of some drama. The interent has become exhausting; its bordeline unuseable.
I have a small UA-cam channel as well and it certainly feels like you’re competing with the best and the only way you have a chance is through shock value. I keep my content about God but it will not feel like enough a dopamine hit for most people now. I fear that this will cause burn out and discourage new creators like us.
This is why my sub box is only filled with people with less than 100k subs because its so hard finding genuine creator's. The internet had ruined everything.
You seem like a good guy. At least half of the users on social media are bots now so be wary about automated responses paired with other people being influenced by those bots. It's a complete mad house. Right now, it's best to stay off there as much as possible. You really won't miss much.
I used to love watching commentary channels or essay channels. But now most of those channels just try to expose some other content creator. What's worse is they usually don't keep it professional and start throwing insults that they know will start some strange internet beef. Just so the subscribers can pick sides. Everytime I see this I hope subscribers and the attacked Creator doesn't take the bait
