I'm listening to the Special Edition version and comparing it to this version, it's really hard to say which one is better. the SE version is obviously more clear and realistic, but this old version has an almost magic charm, but maybe that's just nostalgia?

Is this emulated or output recorded from a real adlib? it sounds cleaner than a lot of emulated versions!
It's just recorded from ScummVM.
I don't have any of the fancier methods, as much as I'd love to.

It is indeed a great music system. The only games that comes to mind that did something similar is the N64 games Rare made like Banjo Kazooie
