And it's appreciated so much. This was the theme to my graduating in law at the top of my year. Basically had this on repeat in the library and felt like I was on a massive epic quest to win at life! (for three years hahahaha)
It's really hard explaining to non gamers how powerful this music is. Some of the best music i've ever heard is from FF, and i wish it was more widely known how spectacular these compositions are
Final Fantasy series has played massive part in through out my life! : When i was heavily depressed after university it was pretty much FF6 that gave me the strength to believe on hope and more forward. The music alone would just help me get better in my life settle on my own.. Now this year i lost my grandfather to spinal cancer a very extreamly painful version of cancer. He had to fight almost 2 years for hes life using very hardcore painkillers and cancer drugs and the very last time i saw him in hospital he was nothing but bone and skin and in full pain relief medication it was easily worst thing i have ever seen in my life no human or being should never go through pain like that in their life ever... While still in shock later at home it was Final Fantasy music that i listened almost two days straight as they calmed my mood and feelings.. And now today as i write this message it's the day we had to take our beloved 15 year old cat to the vet where he got put to sleep. For many years he also managed to struggle with our help as hes kidneys pretty much failed on him. He couldn't eat for months properly only drank water mostly and he couldnt do poo and pee business properly for almost year. This weeks was the last as he was left with no strength anymore and he couldnt even jump to sofa anymore normally. In the vet we would literally pet him until he took hes last breath and i could feel hes last heart pump... It was depressing as fuck to lose a great companion like him even after these years. It was the Final Fantasy music again which came to rescue and made me just feel better. It's like the games of FF6 and FF9 the teached me that some times it best to let go and life will go on. I will surely miss him forever and be glad my cat was part of our family for so long. It's like the music ''You're Not Alone'' and ''Place to call home'' which so strongly connect me with him now on. We were to the end with him and as he was with us and i'm so glad we got to be so long together... In the videos ending the brofist between Tidus and Jecht is an awesome touch... I'm also so glad Nobuo Uematsu has made these great songs for us to listen and enjoy and make us believe in ourselves..
I know the feeling very well. When I was in my teens, I played with my brother who was 5 years younger. We loved FF6-FF8, played the heck out of it. The music was so deep and moving. We were very different but shared those years of these fantastic games. He died back in 2006 in a motorcycle accident, soon after his 21st birthday, on his mom's bday, and buried on mine. I remember that first month was quite overwhelming for me... I needed an escape, I tried playing through some games, I reinstalled World of Warcraft and there it was, the last time he visited he created a rogue, named Shadow, after his favorite character in FF6. To this day, whenever I see/hear Aerith theme song, brings tears to my eyes.
Sorry for your losses. You will see them both in good health one day. Just remember the good times. As long as you remember them they will never be forgotten. I hope you find your heart and soul to find room to care for more as you did those two. Love and loss are part of life that hurts and makes us stronger. The loss of Aerith in FFVII taught me that.

To people saying FF7 music and other FF music is overrated - It wasn't just the musical scores that made FF music the greatest experience; the provided contextual and situational information steadily and stealthily (but powerfully) supplied by the dialog and play options within the games; they drew you into the story, into the lives of the characters and made you literally feel as if you were living the life of the characters. You got emotionally involved as the music changes to match the scenario which is all dependant on how you play the game. So the player has the simulation of total control to move about the world at will, conquer all challenges no matter the difficulty - by figuring out your own solutions using materia, magic or different weapon strategies. You couldn't always save the world and you knew you would die trying; but that was ok. The music on it's own is fantastic if you ask me, though I can understand it is not everybodies cup of tea, but the music in context of the game was unforgettable and ground breaking at the time too. The first game that really brought computer gaming and hollywood style visuals together, though not the first to feature mind blowingly dramatic but not cheesy modern classical. It's definitely not overrated even if it is not your own cup of tea.
If you've ever wondered what it would feel like to be in Nobuo Uematsu's head, wonder no more. This is what it sounds like to be there, transitions and all.
This video makes me feel exactly the way I did while playing Final Fantasy. An emotional journey with a bittersweet ending. Always wanting to start again as soon as the journey comes to an end. Very well done. Thanks so much for this!
I first heard this in 2013 and was absolutely stunned and now rediscovering it 6 years later is a fantastic treat, if you by chance still read the comments amazing job, absolutely the BEST tribute to Uematsu i've heard
Perfection. This medley has helped me boince back up to my feet so many times. To feel sorrow, pain, remorse, Love, anger & the courage to experience all of it. Much love to you & all fellow people reading this
i remember listening to this every day in 2016, and now revisiting this almost 6 years later is not only making me nostalgic for the games, but nostalgic for this very video itself. still as magical as when i first heard it (especially now that i've played all the games in this medley).
It's incredible, the subconscious impressions these songs leave on us. Listening to this I was remembering the emotions and thoughts I had when playing through the areas and events that these songs played at. The feeling of adventure and responsibility over a world that never really existed, goes to show how far a good game can take you away from reality. Loved every second of this, thank you for uploading it.
i heard this music since 1996... really fantasy melodies.. . when you hear it.. you will see... blue sky... crystals.. dragoon.. green mountains... warior.. Sea waves.. forest... magic.. Sword.. waterfall.. ancient city... mechanical plane.. chocobo bird.. lighting.. kingdom palace... this music bring you in the world of fantasy game.. amazzing...
I know it's been nine years since you posted this, but I want to let you know it's been a big deal to me. I recently had a mental breakdown and spent time In the hospital for it. I'm recovering, but it's a drain. One of my coping mechanism is this medley, it brings me so much joy to hear all this music spliced together perfectly. Thank you for this medley 🤗
This is in my top 3 most played tracks when falling asleep. This never gets old. I've had it downloaded ever since I came across it many years ago. Thank you.
Oh myy godd, I remember listening to this everyday the past year while doing homework, I don't know why I didn't comment in that time, maybe this in 5 or 6 years will give some nostalgia, idk, Final Fantasy is still new to me, I always knew about its existence but never played it, the past year I played it for the first time, and I fell in love with the whole franchise XD
I come back to this and the other 3 medleys you have made at least 4 times a year. It is multiple hours of quality music with seamless transitions. Absolutely amazing work here. Thank you again!
I've been listening to a lot of Final Fantasy music remixes recently, and I've been constantly impressed by their quality - yet this one might be the most magnificent I've found so far. Thanks for all your work; you're a credit to the fandom, and the franchise!
How has this medley eluded me for all these years?! I went to different Final Fantasy concerts, own all the mainline Final Fantasy series from 1 to 15 and listened to many covers, mixes, remixes and the like. So happy I found this! The transitions are flawless and I'm amazed how you managed to create this beautiful orchestrated medley and I'm only 15 min in.

this is awesome I had to download so many individual songs back when I was studying for highschool finals. This has made university study bearable. You're a legend!
9 months and counting. I see no reason to put this down, square doesn't make money from the music itself, but rather from the game. Actually listening to this makes me crave for playing ff, so it's good for them

I listen to a ton of these FF compilations while working. I jump around often. This is by far my favorite. @wLasky is killing it. The transitions keep me coming back.

So much depth
