Charles, A great episode so well put together to go along with the book. I'm so glad your enjoying it and sharing it with other fans. I knew ETD is your favorite film so minutes after your visit that's why I presented you with that special treasure. Going to try and give you what facts I have been told about this book. It is NOT available on line ( Amazon) because it was produced in limited quantities along with 5 other books in very Limited Editions. The author recently passed away I found out when I tried to contact him through his site, Korean books which I have several were put out in very Limited quantities not sure why but all the ones I have are that way. I believe the books were produced by order only and not widely distributed. I think the production is under 30 copies for each of the 5 different books produced. So they are hard to find and extremely Rare. In my 47+ years of collecting there are photos in these books and of course in the magazines that he also put out that I have never seen before but then Bruce being highly photographed like he was there are probably thousands of images we have not yet seen. Over the years I have had 4 copies of this particular book. One that I have 2 versions of, another is called "The Movie" which I showed you, and the other 2 I gave you one and the other to Cozetta, I believe I have 9 out of15 different photo magazines that he also published which I have only had one double of and it was part of a trade for an original Bruce Lee autograph. Hi Charles! Love that Enter the Dragon photo book. So many behind the scene photos. I think it was Chan yuk that followed Bruce lee through all his movies and took tons of photos of Bruce throughout the years that followed. I'm so glad that was done during his short period of fame. What a great book to have, Bruce Lee still amazes me to this very day. Thanks for sharing. I love that there were so many photographs taken of Bruce Lee but I wish there was more recorded conversations with him. I love to hear him talk and his intellectual and philosophical points of view.

Some of the photos Charles is showing was in "Making of Enter the Dragon " by the films director Robert Clouse . I bought that book in 1987 . Clouse died in 1997.

What a wonderful book. Probably every photo of Enter the Dragon ever taken in there. Real collectors item and must have. Simply brilliant. Shannon Lee sheds some new light on Bruce's absence from the set. Apparently he was unhappy with the script and wanted changes. Monk scene ect, so the story of him not attending because he was nervous was false.

Charles, A great episode so well put together to go along with the book. I'm so glad you're enjoying it and sharing it with other fans. I knew ETD is your favorite film so minutes after your visit that's why I presented you with that special treasure. Going to try and give you what facts I have been told about this book. It is NOT available on line ( Amazon) because it was produced in limited quantities along with 5 other books in very Limited Editions. The author recently passed away I found out when I tried to contact him through his site, Korean books which I have several were put out in very Limited quantities not sure why but all the ones I have are that way. I believe the books were produced by order only and not widely distributed. I think the production is under 30 copies for each of the 5 different books produced. So they are hard to find and extremely Rare. In my 47+ years of collecting there are photos in these books and of course in the magazines that he also put out that I have never seen before but then Bruce being highly photographed like he was there are probably thousands of images we have not yet seen. Over the years I have had 4 copies of this particular book. One that I have 2 versions of, another is called "The Movie" which I showed you, and the other 2 I gave you one and the other to Cozetta, I believe I have 9 out of15 different photo magazines that he also published which I have only had one double of and it was part of a trade for an original Bruce Lee autograph. Bruce talking about ultimate truth about real fighting...Bruce use styles and forms (the way of moving, even in The Way of the Dragon and Enter the Dragon. First floor is understanding about efficiencly fighting (theories), second floor is about forms and mechanic (practice), third floor is sparring in training (which is of course not real fighting, just closer to it than theories and practices). Fourth floor is formless form of fighting, which is changenable, not fixed. So, last one is emptiness (that which is not). You must have all this if you want learn in reality true martial arts. When you can understand this, you can create own way learning on experts like Bruce Lee, Tony Jaa or whatever.

I love to understand martial arts from bottom to top - progressing way; theories, basic practices, sparrings applications, real formless fighting and finally ultimate truth of emptiness. You can draw a pyramid to make it easier to see the whole picture. I like Bruce for this kind of understanding and sharing true knowledge, basic on outside and inside reality.

@@CharlesDamianoBLC I’d rather say system, not style, not look, but understanding mechanics. When the body becomes more effective with less time, less space and less energy (for example, in a fast and strong direct hit), it will not look like a style - much less in a real fight. So I’m not looking for style, but I want to understand the mechanics and concepts. For this, we need training, training, training - 10 000 times just one movement...Bruce said “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” To become muscle memory.
As a kid, I loved drawing comics, then I came across kung fu movies, fell in love, and started training for hours and hours every day - everything; yoga, stretching, fitness, tai chi, wing chun, 12 bridges Hung style, 5 animal styles, drunking boxing, emotional kung fu, acrobatic, boxing, jeet kune do, muay thai, etc ... I still do that today, despite working at work and family. Today I put the emphasis on elephant and monkey system of fighting, elbow and knee techique, etc . In my forms is everything; warm up, stretcing, acrobatic, punches and kicks, etc - It is for health, for flexibility, for fitness, for selfdefence...I drew the movements, and adjusted them to my abilities and efficiencly. I like Bruce Lee quote “Research your own experience. Absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, add what is essentially your own.” About his books - for me, there is no better books for understanding complete system of martial arts. His videos are also helpful. Bruce said »The art of expressing the human body« (this is main tittle), The way of the intercepting fist or kicks (under the tittle), but however, instead of the signature Bruce Lee Gung Fu above, let there be your name and Gung Fu (skill that is acquired through learning and practice - you must put time and energy in this), for he has shown the way, and we walk on it. Bruce would respect that and we will personally progress.
