I've used a lot of laptops over 20 years with different manufacturers, got flex 5 like 5 yrs ago with intel processor. To this day, I am very pleased with my purchase even though i can feel speed coming down due to useless updates. I have no intention to upgrade any soon, probably would last me another 2 yrs. Guess what I'll be buying again lol

I just bought it last month...:)....actually on earlier I was planning to get 1 Ultrabook + 1 tab with pen like Samsung tab....but in the end I change my mind after I found this flex....the negative side is only quite heavy if use it as "tab".....the pen size is good

@@nicolasp8pl nope, I have mine since March 2021, and the hinges are still like brand new, its just the rubber support in the base of the laptop is wearing off, but performance-wise after 3 years still amazing, laptop is still fast no issues since day 1 of purchase.

I own the i7-1065g 16GB|1TB variant with NVIDIA MX330, Great machine. Only thing I wish for would be longer battery life.
The 2-1 to beat in 2021 is the i7-1165g, MX450 variant.

Ironically, I'm watching your review of this fine laptop on a Lenovo Flex 5 Chromebook using a Intel 10th Gen Core i3 processor / 8GB RAM / 128 NVMe SSD / 13.3" FHD screen. It was a steal for $350 USD but I must admit, this 16GB model can probably rings around mine.
Definitely a steal for 350!
But yeah, this one is great for the price and performance wise definitely tops yours :)

If, with sufficient hard drive space, Windows survives either event, then it may be worth the trouble to load Windows onto a Chromebook. The followup question becomes one of functionality. Will all features of the Windows software function properly?
I agree with some who think it best to keep Windows on native Windows hardware. I'm an escapee from Windows so I agree with this view.
Great review of this older model. I found one for $300 as a Certified Refurbished unit. It's an amazing value.
There are reports coming out on GSM Arena and Quora that the hinge on this laptop easily breaks off. I am considering purchasing one though I would like to seek your opinion which is a better buy, this or the Yoga 6/7. I know there is a higher price difference, but what I'm concerned about is the hinge easily breaking off and the plastic material. If you're gonna use the 2 in 1 for a longer time, the disuse rate could affect performance right just like in Samsung Fold series, where there is a limit on how many folds it could take in its lifespan. The latter has more premium materials I suppose (aluminum) and being branded for the higher segment, but do you think the hinge problem is true?

This is better as it has a 16GB RAM, 11th Gen i5 and Xe graphics which is better than the specs in Ryzen specced one.

No mate, it's not for video editing. For VD you need a dedicated graphics card and 16GB RAM.
