My built in camera has stopped working on the flex 5 after a year of laptop usage. Although I Used the camera very less I need it for important conferences and webinars. I tried all the software troubleshooting methods but didn't workout. If there is hardware issue can I purchase & fit the built in camera?
How do I lock the screen in tablet mode? Like is I want to lay the laptop down, in tablet mode, and make a sketch of blue prints, like trace them as if I was using an artists light box, how do I keep the screen from moving around under the paper so I can make a traced sketch?

Hey, could you pls tell me if there any major differences between the flex 5 and the IdeaPad 5 (14 inches) laptops? You wont believe i bought the yoga i7 on clearance couple of weeks ago for $500 only but actually returned it as it had a yellowish tint (not a night light) to their whites vs u know the stark bluish whites. Then i got a asus zenbook q410 open box clearance for $300 only but really what can i say, i guess im just a lenovo person. I personally really feel inclined toward the humble traditional ideapad 5 14 but am having a hard time finding one. So cud u pls tell me if there r they any differences between it n the flex n such as in battery life, display etc? Thank you so much.

hlo bro i have purchased this laptop ideaflex i5 12gen can i apply screen guard on it as it is screen touch laptop.....will screen work afer applying it....? actually from the showroom where i bought this the salesperson suggested me not to apply any type of screen guard on it as this is screen touch it will damage the screen you will unable to use pen or touch on it ......pls share your opinion ...

In my opinion, for 2 in 1, you should not have super thin bezels. In tablet mode you want some bezels to guard against pressing the screen if you hold it in your arm, sometimes parts of your body might touch the screen.
Having a good screen quality is very important for me (like for watching moovies for example). What's your point of view about it (does the color grading impact that much?)

@@dolsemiyano the only time I’ve seen my laptop struggle a little is when running multiple VMs for a hacking class. I’ve had no issues at all with my regular coding classes. I would still recommend getting something with 32gb if money isn’t an issues.

I got the i7 11th gen, 16gb ram model but the battery life is very bad for me, for normal use like watching videos or surfing etc I only get like 2 hrs. Any tips to fix it?

I would like You to make an opinión regarding HP x360 Pavilion 11th Generation, because I don't know what I should buy of them both.. if Lenovo IdeaPad 5 flex, or HP Pavilion x360.
One tip: for testing the sound quality I can recommend 'Rde of the valkyrie' from Wagner's opera. You'll love it. Thanks for this test since it highlights exactly what I a looking for which brings me to the conclusion to look for something else.

I don't even mind the low screen brightness, it's not high on my priority list.
But the touchscreen and pen stopped work within 2 months. And it's such a hassle to fix it, even with the lenovo bridge.
Gonna send it to the service center and hopefully it is sorted out.

Thank you for your review. Do you happen to know the actual Model number? I'm looking at one that has this same title, but finding they could be different Model numbers. I like a bright screen, so if this is the same one, I wouldn't want to get it. Still not going into the stores, so loved the review!

It does have that same name/number and processor you have in the description. So I assume it's the same one? Too bad... I had finally made up my mind on this one, but glad I saw your review. That darker screen would not be good for me. I turn all my screens (computer, phone, tablet) as bright as they can go. I have a Lenovo now, but need more storage. It has a brighter screen than you mentioned on this one. So looking for 512 at a price under/around $700. I also would like to pick it up locally rather than shipped... I've seen a number of damaged packages this year. Anyway, I'll check out more of your videos. If you have any particular one you think I may be interested in watching, let me know. Thanks again. You saved me returning a computer that wouldn't be bright enough.

Really bummed about the screen brightness. One of my biggest complaints about my current thinkpad is bad lighting.
Trust me I feel your pain, the low nits is a really odd place to cheap out on.
Just picked this exact one up for 699 usd. Then I paid another 40 for the stylus.
I see ads now for the AMD 4500u with 16gb ram and stylus included for 670 USD.
I feel like the AMD with stylus at that price with 2x RAM is the better deal.

i have this laptop and it cannot run fortnite nor roblox or any game how can i fix it?
How would it compare to a Dell 2017 model (eg. Latitude 5289 with i5-73000). This is 2-3 years more recent, but it seems the Dell build quality is more premium. Which would you choose?
The Latitude is a more professional/business type laptop and has a more rigged build. The Flex 5 is more of a premium consumer laptop. Performance wise the Flex 5 will be superior than than 4 generation old i5 in terms of performance. But honestly the latitudes were built like tanks which means they tend to last a long time. I would choose the better performing one in this case the flex 5.

I’ve been stuck between this one, the dell inspiron, & HP Pavilion to replace my Toshiba 17” 1 TB of 11 years. Yep, it’s still going (just needs to stay on the charger, plastic build cracking, one hinge breaking, & does not load Microsoft files from emails anymore). All in all, Toshiba made stuff built to last and that’s what I want in my next laptop but with touchscreen now. What do I do? 😭💔
go with your guts, I am using flex 5 now from 3 years ago and still love it. Unfortunately older laptops were build better and touchscreen only works if you want to. Besides that you don't feel anything from normal screen .

Honestly Idc about the display quality, I’m getting this to replace my 2017 Mac air. I didn’t want to risk the dongle life/ pay nearly 700k to have all ports back.

I’m really disappointed in this laptop :( I have the 2017 version and this one. I barley got it today. I feel like they got cheap on it bc my old one worked so well but became slow due to me not taking care of it when I was younger. The sound quality is wack and the actual laptop itself feels like it has cheaper material. It also crashes easily. I’m not sure what to do because my mom bought it for me and I chose it because I thought it was gonna be exactly like my old one

You can prevent it from starting up using task manager > Start Up> Disable Teams
