      Kartikey Gupta i love it when people give actual argumenta instead of just saying “oh intel is better than AMShit” i’ve actually seen someone say that and i asked them why and they didn’t respond. I think that in the future games would need more cores and threads to be more efficient, some games are already going in that direction but the thing about the future is that you never know what will happen, so lets just hope intel brings a bit more competition into the game because that can only help us and it can’t hurt us.

    • @johnny_pilot
      @johnny_pilot 2 роки тому +12

      No it doesn't... FACT... unless it's a stand-alone machine still running its original software and games without ever having received updates! If it runs a modern browser and connects to the Internet (as does my 2013 8GB 3rd Gen i7) and also runs (or tries to run) modern games and software, it WILL be considerably slower than back in 2013. You, however, are either ignorant of this fact or oblivious to the slower operation of your computer. Maybe it's because of your age? If you were just slightly techy, you'd KNOW it was slower 9 years after purchase! And if you're honest with yourself, you know it's slower these days... still running, but slower. If you STILL think it's "lightning fast" and "works as fast today", I shan't debate with you... nor do I with flat-Earthers.

    Reasons for crazy fast computers:
    - Bragging rights (some people stroke their ego's more than themselves).
    - Burning up the budget before the soon to be Ex-wife/husband gets it all.
    - Because your not a gamer unless you have at least 100 times the PC power than the newest game needs.
    - Because Mr. and Mrs. Jones next door did it.
    - Because the TV screen says you should do it.
    - Because those pesky internet ads hypnotize you into it.
    - You're a PC parts collector.
    - Because who doesn't have at least 110 active windows open at all times?
    - You use Google Chrome.
    - You run a very dirty background on your computer.
    - You infect your own computer with more viruses than the internet.
    - You do professional graphic design (something that actually uses the power of the computer).
    - You do industrial automation.
    - You perform high folding mathematical computation.

    Finally! An answer that makes sense to the novice! (at least to one who wants to learn) What I got was Core i3 was your basic model with limited options, low buck and best gas mileage. Core i5 is a has a more luxuries right from the factory, generally handles better on the information freeway, has a turbo added on for a burst of speed if you need to crunch some big numbers and can be ordered with a bunch of extras that will up the price. Core i7 is the big engine that was imagined for use on the German Autobahn. Even in its basic configuration it is a power hungry beast and is always looking at you to add more ways to try and reach that imaginary top speed of the internet highway! In business mode it will go though a battery in an 65 minutes all the while urging you to check out the gamer on that site that is kicking ass now that you left at 4:30 am this morning! 😂😂

    Yes it's old news, but very good "Layman" speak. What I REALLY appreciate is someone who can actually put full sentences together without stammering their way through it with a 50% content of...uhm, ya know, and'a....and all the other word vomit that very often makes me just move on. It's like they get paid by the word, even the meaningless words that ruin what may have been interesting if they were left out. I wouldn't know, I stop and go else where. Thanks! ;)

    My day started off good.. I remembered I need a new computer. I know nothing about computers. Started researching. At first I was looking at gaming PC vs regular PC. Discovered the difference between CPU and GPU, but someone said gaming PC has less RAM. I google RAM. Then I google how data is actually stored..I mean.. it's not happening magically. There must be physical microscopic tangible processes going on. I start reading about HDD vs SSD. I read about the polarization of electrical binary signals onto a conductive grain magnetized substrate. Wtf. I am just the guy who sweeps leaves off of the street. Now I am delving into the finer points of computer science. I just want to buy a PC dammit. This has been a very confusing day for old Henry... peace out ma niggas.. This is your boy, good old Henry McHapless signing off.

This is my first I own a laptop, I was playing valorant the next thing happened was my game crush then all apps disappeared and some memo diagnostic tool then fixed but my memory now probably has complications that's something I didn't knew since I'm new of having laptop, didn't knew that I really need a cooler and at least 8 or more ram for Valo.

  • @brucechandler9484
    @brucechandler9484 4 роки тому +33

    When I buy laptops, I find that the "sweet spot" for optimal performance without breaking the budget is to upgrade to Core i7 and 16GB RAM. That combination will be able to handle just about everything without going overboard. As for storage, 256GB is plenty for most people so that will keep the final price down. I don't see spending an extra few hundred dollars to expand to 516GB is worth it and 1TB will probably never get used. If you do get 256GB storage, every six months or so you could go into your files and trash things you don't want to keep. You'd be surprised how much junk piles up over the months. Core i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB storage. It's a great combination.

    • @notyouraveragevacuum2796
      @notyouraveragevacuum2796 7 років тому +12

      Da Ya The helium probably helps them hold their breath longer. Inhaling helium only though is dangerous, because helium contains no oxygen. Therefore killing your brain cells and other things.

    • @daya9561
      @daya9561 7 років тому +11

      Hoover my question was pretty rhetorical, I am a certified commercial diver. As such you replace oxygen with helium and or nitrogen at depth. If you were to breath normal % of oxygen at depth you would get brain damage from oxygen toxcicity (to much oxygen). Helium is lighter than air so unless you are in a room with positive pressure ventilation forcing helium into the room you wont die because if you fall to the gound, you'd be breathing air again. . .

      2) pick a laptop that has good battery life ie over 10 hrs
      3) macbook m1 or m2
      4) dont buy a gaming laptop as their GPU will use battery and most wont last more than 2 hrs.
      5) If battery says 4 hrs take that and divide by 2 as most laptop battery estimates are based on mixed use with more downtime than uptime
      6) if you take alot of notes almost any cheap laptop with more than 10 hrs battery is good unless your class last longer than 10 hrs total
