Oh, man. Imagine if Blomkamp did a miniseries adapting the original video game. It would've been a massive improvement over the Paramount show, that's for sure!
i dont think halo will ever look good with a tv budget, even a min-series one, you need a cinema budget, superhero movie production value. With a tv series you cant show the aliens much, which are a big part in Halo, one of them is the Arbiter, a main protasgonist, same is for the locations and battles, thats why the fall of reach sucked in the tv show
Tbh if The Fallout show director made a killin and a lasting impact and respected the source material with a great TV Show, that didn't recap on what happened in Fallout 1 & 2, and was instead something original, Blomkamp could surely make a new story that fit somewhere in the Halo universe.
Because every now and then, a Hollywood studio will think it's a good idea to release a "Dragon Ball Evolution" in an attempt to "reach a wider audience than the source material did."🤣🤣💔💔💔
Can we get the movie now, halo fans constantly getting let down becuase of the budget when in reality the movie would make double what any budget is anyway
The movie starts with a dude in a suit standing in front of a screen as the Halo TV show’s credits roll. “So what do you think?” He asks expectedly. Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson are sitting on a couch, clearly disturbed. Chief awkwardly shifts and clears his throat, but before he can speak Johnson interjects. “That was the biggest pile of steaming grunt shit I’ve ever seen.”
And since it failed, Hollywood will think audiences aren’t interested in the Halo franchise. Tis a crime against humanity what they gave us and that we’ll probably never see a proper version of it on the silver screen or the small screen.
Dude how is it that the SCRAPS of an old project is still soooooooooo much better than almost all the other films for halo? Including and especially the halo series. The halo series isn't even halo anymore. It's a fucking romcom with characters I can't respect at fucking all and a story with absolutely no depth. You get that and feeling from just from this fight. You feel the fear that odst's felt, you felt the struggle. With the show you just feel disappointment in EVERY SINGLE DECISION MADE BY EVERYONE IN THE SHOW.
It fell through because the director wanted to give the master chief a twin brother and have the twin be infected by the flood and end with a big fight scene at the end. Thank god it got canceled
I love District 9 bit I wish this project had happened. Blompkamp and Jackson should have been given the Halo show. It would have been money well spent rather than money wasted but then again 343 Stufios have no idea with the franchise so I'm not shocked it never happened
Imagine taking all the source material and lore from a well developed science fiction novel/video game franchise, throw it in the garbage and then produce a tv show based off a quickly skimmed wikipedia article.
The problem with the halo series wasnt the producers it was the publisher. Paramount is greedy and loves ruining source materials. Had they have gone with amazon like the fallout show itd probably be a lot better.
just let Blomkamp made a Halo movie saga that adapts the Bungie games ffs... His movies may have been moslty financial flops, but if you let him work on established ips its gonna be fine, gran Turnsmo i guess was a success.

Blomkamp could make a good Halo show or movie if it wasn’t like similar to District 9, wasn’t to fond of that movie, it was cool but not very interesting. Concept designs looked cool but more detail and they’d look better. Close to the games and the media
So district 9 we could have had Halo for the sacrifice. I mean we could have sacrificed district 9 for Halo movie, a proper Halo movie with good directors. Are you f****** kidding me and yet the fake movies the ones that are clearly telling you? Oh this is something completely different than what it really is and then you get to it and it's basic training the entire movie except for 5 minutes at the end
Not a fan of the alien designs. Never happy when an outside input overrides a preexisting IP's fan accepted base. Halo 5 did the same shit, changing appearances and it didn't go over well there. Just gotta stick to what works once the IP is popularized. Early on? Plenty of room to wiggle. Anything from Halo 2 release onward is too late; it was already a hype train with established lore.

I’m sorry, LANDFALL WAS GOING TO BE A MOVIE
Well, the guy who directed it was certainly going to make a feature length film in that same style.
