Example - for the price of a single 13" sub from JL Audio, you could buy 10 x 18" subs from *Stereo integrity* ... and only an idiot would put JL above Stereo integrity! SI are at the top of their game … not just a brand pumped up by audio enthusiasts, who have a conflict of interest as JL is! *Acoustic Elegance -* is my next go to, and again, for a single JL 13" you could have at leat 3 - 4 x 18" subs ... *AE drivers being used in the $200,000+ Kyron Gaia Evolution baffleless speakers.* JL Audio is for those who don't know better, but think they do!
Will say this, destroyed 4 of these at rms, Crutchfield replaced them, they sound good on rock and punchy bass, assuming you went with 6 to catch the lows too and for show, the alpine and Rockford drop lower and sound better and are more affordable, the skar shallow mounts are great too just have mad excursion, I'd just not pay jl prices for a shallow mount sub, looks cool. But not for me
Well you're right it does guess it's time for some fucking readers ...lol How do those hit compared to a regular mount sub as in do they get loud or are they a compromise . I have two dc Audio level 4 12 with level 5 soft parts in a prefab fix audio box it Meters 145 off about 5k into the pair it takes alot of power in that box to get loud I'm thinking of pulling the back seat and putting a box in place of it with most likely 4 of the same 12s but possibly 15$ . I'm just curious how those shallow mounts actually do Since I've never heard them .
They sound good and loud and low. But compared to a regular sub I’d use a regular sub ofcourse. These are just made for small spaces and meant for sealed enclosures
Definitely not. Maybe just the minimum required 0.80 air space which makes them sound horrible. Those subs need at least 1.30 to sound the way they should.

That box isn't nowhere near deep enough to house a 13w,7 those are 13 shallow mounts not w7 .
