For better bass ( hard clean bass ) turn down the bass on your stereo . And turn up the bass on the amplifier ... 🙃
@@AryanM3 ... you have the 500.1 jx amplifier ... set the filter frequency or HZ @ 80 ... your input sensitivity either at 40% or 50% and your stereo bass bring it down to half or 1/4 ... turn up your treble all the way up... 🙃
Clean hard bass
When you say set stereo bass to 1/2 or a 1/4, do you mean from 0 or from -9 (the lowest setting, it ranges from -9 to +9) also what should I set the “bass boost” to on the amp (it goes up to 12dB)
@@AryanM3 ... yes set your speakers to 0 Based on what you said 0 would be half your bass for speakers ? And set your amplifier to 8 db ... remember the shop splice into your speaker to power the subwoofers the less distortion ( bringing the bass down on your stereo to half ) the better your subwoofers will perform .... is there a follow up video ... create one too see the settings ?
Do the subs slide around?? I have the same box and wanna install but afraid of the subs sliding around in the back
I would have upgraded that stock sub with a JL Audio shallow mount sub and kept your boot space. The ported subwoofers tend to boom a lot for my tastes.
didn’t have to tap into the ignition to power the LC2 pro I. The LC2 pro I cuts on and off from detecting audio signal then cuts on the amp. By sending out the 5v from the lc2 I remote source to the amp.
How much was the install
6-8 hour break in is pretty long 2-3 hours is more than fine then you can start gradually truning the volume up.
what you film this with? with a 45k truck lol
I have sat in two cars with one having this box exactly and the other had this same box with 10in dual jl's in them and i swear the 10's sounded stronger less distortion and really super crisp for a variety of music. Blew me away that the 10,s were better cause u would not think it would be the case. It was two dodge challengers with identical factory radio setups with the subs so it was a fair comparison being neither had a better high end setup then the other. Why would 10's outperform the 12's ? Anybody know???
Could be an array of things. How well the car with 10's is sound proofed, choice of music, cable size/choices, etc.
Probably because the 10s aren’t regular w0’s they’re probably w3s or w6s
For your sub use ofc man might wanna look into it ofc you won’t lose as much power going to your sub
Can you give us a link to the items you got for your set up?
Why does it seem like this man dont know wtf hes talking about
I would not give you bad advice . I work at street beat audio in California . I have a $2500 jl audio system in my Honda Accord 2017 ...
Sick Jeep man I’ve got a 18 jk I’ve been thinking about installing subwoofers have you had any issues with the dealer and voiding any warranty
I would just stick the install video with the installer it really sounds like you have no idea what your talking about when your explaining the Audio equipment especially explaining the LC2 line out converter. 😂
Joe sent me here this info is helping me with my Tacoma might go with JL
What series of subs are those?
Did you get to keep the stock head unit with that setup?
So this actually has nothing to do with subwoofers… if you’re going to keep the factory HU you’re gonna need something like the “RCA speaker wire connector” make sure you get an amp that can support both high and low outputs as speaker wire connections for the amp will be high level. And get some splice clips and just use the output from your rear speakers if it’s Jeep.
You need another amp 500 ain’t gonna actually push 2 12s get like a 1,000 watt one or a 1500 watt one
i had the same system the jdx 500 is what JL Audio recommends thous 12s are 4 ohm sub single voice and handle max 350 w there the cp12wvs u will blow them with 1000 W
not that loud i actually upgraded like 3 week after i installed it to the 15 JL Audio W0v3 and a 1200 watt phoenix gold sx.2 1200.1 monoblock true rms 1200w rated at 2 ohms that was 3 years ago and i still have that in my daily driver working strong as ever defiantly not the loudest but loud enough
Jon Dillinger oh ok I got 2 12s we had 3 with 3100 watts running but we took one out and put a very nice amp in there with 2 and it sounds better
Is this a dr subwoofer
“the most interesting man in car audio” clone?
W3's would of been way cleaner in a sealed enclosure under the seat, fiberglass enclosure so its waterproof. its a jeep. Jl =SQL
Why didn’t you just take out the factory 12’s and instal one JL Audio speaker🤷🏽♀️
I actually want to try that because this setup takes up so much trunk space, but there’s a lot of custom fab work that needs to be done to fit it in the stock housing
@@AryanM3 dont do that, you need proper airspace for an aftermarket sub. That ported box is wayyy better than replacing a factory speaker in the factory location.
@@alextrainor2552 Yeah that true, but you can still get some truly deep bass from specially designed subs like the JL TW series. It is all about compromise. Also, music tastes. Two subwoofers, especially ported subs can produce boomy bass that is loud but not enjoyable. If you prefer clean punchy bass, then quality shallow mount subs can produce truly awesome sound.
Had the same box on a pioneer sph da210 w two 360/2 channel amps shit was nice
Just lookinging up subwoofers and this was the first vid i watched and the shop was in north Houston and im like holy shit i live in north Houston what a coincidence but then u said ur cousins danish and my mind got fucking blown cuase my family is danish.

Nice Jeep did you upgrade the speakers or left the stock Alpine ones....
Grade A Chip stock alpine speakers and amp, just added an extra JL amp and JL subs!
How do you take out and store your freedom tops when you take them out?
Kedric Patterson I usually just take my entire roof off so that’s never an issue for me
How’s it sound with the top off?
Pretty good considering door speakers are stock alpine. It’s plenty loud at “33” on the volume setting!
10:09 jeep made an existing wire so you don’t have to tap into the ignition, i wired mine the same way as you. just found out about that other wire and got so upset.
@@nickc.8137 so it’s only some jeeps with the aux 1,2,3,4 If I remember correctly it’s under the glove box or an additional wire in the engine bay for the auxiliary cords. Just search up Jeep JL aux & ignition wire
@@wassemdarwiche6928 That's what I have actually. Thanks for responding so fast on a year old comment btw you just saved me so much research.
@@nickc.8137 yeah no problem bro, my notifications usually never go off hahaha figured I’d help. what are you installing?
@@wassemdarwiche6928 Im thinking of doing a 5 channel amp for the bigger stock speakers, then I’ll use the 5th channel for 2 low power subs or one 800 watt one. Im still doing research tho I’m new to this stuff. What’s your setup?
Update??
How did you get your jeep?
I guess he's trying to avoid the truth of what hard work gets you. And maybe he thinks of your age your fed silver spoon
Ok what’s your cousins name the 1st song was 🔥
Yes! I found it jammin it on a cape Cod, Ma in my JK top down, doors off 💚🖤

Video too long
Bruder du hörst deutschrap in Amerika gahahaha
This kid doesn’t know jack sh!t about audio
How much you paying a month for the jeep
Don’t waste your money on a Jeep. It’s just a fiat, and fiats are trash. Unless you only plan on keeping it for a few years while it’s new, but if you want to keep it longterm, get a Toyota.
DJ Zander303 the fact they’re owned by Fiat. JUNK. Fiat’s are terrible quality cars, Same with Nissan ever since they were bought out by Renault. Chrysler has always been junk as well, now it’s even worse with Fiat.
You have to really do your research before you buy a car and it will save you a lot of money and headaches. One thing I will give Jeep owners is the fact they do hold their resale value pretty well, but that’s because of their hype. Any other Jeep vehicle has a terrible resale value. It tells you a lot when a cars resale value plummets. If you buy them new and they’re under warranty it’s not a big deal but don’t even think about keeping it past that or keeping it long term. Will turn into a money pit like all Chrysler/Fiats (Fix It Again Tony!)

no you are way wrong there guy it all depends on type of sub and what u are listing to not one cap vs trunk
yes that plays a roll but not as big as u thing for instance if u are a more rock or metal guy then noun ported is way to go as long as the box is tuned to the subs but if u listing to rap where your subs freq is spending most its time below 50 to 40 hurts the ported is way to go u could make an argument but from my experiences its more what u listen to
Ahh. The breaking in myth. Waste of time.
500 wats? 🤭
@@alextrainor2552 I know 😍 I got the loaded enclosure from skar 2 sdr 12s on rp1500.1d doing 1200 rms💪🏽

@@alextrainor2552 I can only speak from my experience. I love them. They hit hard fur the price.
Nice vid!!
Wack bro
This kid knows nothing about audio, if he did he would be installing it himself and not just reading off the box and saying things like "people have told me"
You want a sealed enclosure in any vehicle that has an open area ported enclosure work good in trunks and closed cabs
