Car Audio Fabrication - Master Car Audio - Design, Build, Install - Авто та транспорт
Cant wait to see the build and I’m taking notes on DSP tuning. I am almost ready to replace my preamp eq.
LOL ya those are two totally different things.
This is my favorite car audio channel. 1 year ago I knew absolutely nothing about car audio, but this channel and a few others have helped me out tremendously. I’ve installed 4 different systems since then, and now I’m getting pretty deep into my daily drivers sound system. Such a fun hobby. Expensive though 😂
Please post all the videos ASAP! I have the same truck and the same Focal front stage so I’m totally going to plagiarize the sh!+ out of your install! 😂
I don't think I've seen this guy do an install. ONLY TALKS!
@@jac1793 yeah, I don’t need him to show me how to do it, just what he ends up doing so that I can copy that. An in depth tutorial would be nice and all, but I know that won’t happen here. He does give some pretty good tips though, particularly in his earlier vids.
@@jac1793he’s got heaps of installs all over the channel…
This would be my ideal system, just wish I could afford all this!
Much cheaper components can sound as good or even better. It really comes down to the installation and tuning. So don't get too discouraged about the cost. Just get what you can afford and spend some time on good installation and tuning. 👍
Infinity kappa speakers on a good amp sound awesome for the price.
No seriously three tw5 shallows is probably the best bass you will hear in a truck, people love to underestimate JLs low pro sub. They will surprise you 🙌🏽
This is basically the greatest hits of components. OMG this build is going to be gnarly!
Can't wait for you to get started... I like your ideas and the way you explain everything, I'm starting my DSP set up with the JL amp and sub, slowly but it's getting there lol
Mark you shared this video with us but I can't wait to watch the actual installation video of this whole system.
Please make actual video of installation process. Please
I document literally everything on the builds, check out some of the past ones in the mean time!
@@CarAudioFabrication ok
Just bought the D-6.1200...Now I need a vehicle to put it in 🤪
My OCD loving your wire and set up clean and neet
I sure appreciate your update. I knew nothing about these subs. Your 3 way front stage is going to be awesome.
I absolutely love JL Audio and have had several JL Audio system throughout the years. I’ve ran everything all the way up to their leading W7 series. My last 2 builds were 100% JL Audio running 4 sets of 6.5 components on 450/4 and 3 JL W6 subs each with its own 1000/1 amp and clean sweep DSP in 2008. Unfortunately due to my health I haven’t been able to continue to enjoy my favorite audio equipment.
I have a similar system…2016 Tacoma double cab…Focal Flax in the doors…Arc Audio A10 Subwoofers…powered by Arc Audio 6 channel amplifier X2-1200.6 Running factory radio with a Digital Design Dsi-3 processor …DSP with Focal speakers creates an incredible sound and clarity at any volume…adding sound deadening material enhanced the experience and reduces overall road noise…I liked the ability to created different presets for different genres…after listening to DSP enhanced music…it hard to not too..
I am really excited to watch this build. Doing something similar in my truck, but 2 13tw5's instead of three. Can't wait!
Looking forward to seeing the build!
06:02 Last year I installed Flax Evo PS 165F3E in both of my cars. These are some of the best mid-bass speakers that exist. And over the past two years I have tried them from more than a dozen different manufacturers and not cheap ones. Excellent sound and quality of the basket and contact group. This speaker can actually be used as a hand weapon, heavy and very strong!
I will be watching this one closely. Great stuff
Looking forward to this series. I have an active set up in the front of my F150, curious how much of an improvement it is going to a 3 way a pillar set up.
that focal 3-way front and 2-way rear is the same setup I'm planning to use for my gladiator along with an audio control 5 channel dsp amp and either a couple 12's or like 3 10's under the back seat. just takes time money and more time and money to get the ball rolling. will try and follow along with this as I don't tend to do active systems always feel like the crossover tuning is part of the love the designer put into them. but I'm sure I'll learn something new from this.
Can't wait to see what the end product looks like! Is there a reason you opted for the 8500 over the 9500ES?
As someone who owned 2 9500s the 8500 has a couple less features but overall is an upgrade imo for multimedia
Good luck man, I love my flax 3 way :)
The JL subs are beasts
F U N !!!! 🤘😬 Awesome video, Mark.
nice gears....
I hope you go over tuning this (tun) setup. I have something almost identical and it works great but would like to know how you are going to dial it in. Love the vids man!
What wire lugs do you use, (for connecting the power wire to the battery and the ground to the chassis.)
Hey bro, I know you do "Car Audio Fabrication" lol but I'd like to see you dabble in motorcycle audio and see what your opinions on the platform also your advice. It has its own unique challenges and it be interesting to see a master car audio guru talk about utilizing it on a motorcycle
Sweet Video. Any chance you can do a review of the DSR1? I've got a 2013 focus ST, I'm on the fence about using LC7i or going with a DSR1.
I 2nd this.
DSR1 for the win 7i is for just supplying signal to amps the dsr1 does that and it’s a DSP
@@mobiledawg2206 That is what I was leaning towards for those reasons. DSR1 will plug and play with the adapter harness and give me RCA outs to whatever amps I want to use for component and subs yes?
Have 13w7 already (friend shipped it to me for free, i paid shipping lol). and looking at sundown SIA 1750 for that. Then whatever decent 4 channel I choose and components.
I have no idea what kind of signals coming out of a 2013 Ford Focus. It probably has Factory EQ, but may have odd time alignment and all pass filters screwing up your signal. You might want to do some research into that. There might be an adapter that interfaces before the factory DSP.
If not you might have to use a product like the Kicker KEYLOK to remove all the factory processing.
Once you have a good signal then you need to consider a DSP to properly tune whatever speakers your installing.
Five Star Car Stereo has done many videos on the DSR1. I may have even done a similar year Focus.
@andrewkavanagh6028 if they make a harness for your car and the dsr1 deff go with that vs lc7i. It's not the best but will do everything you need. Also look into a different amp then the sia1750. So many other options i wouldn't do cheapish full bridge stuff. Not saying spend a ton but look at something else
JL audio was great... back in the 90s 😂
K.
I really wanted the sony es head unit but went with the alpine ilx-f511. Really considering switching to the sony
No acoustic insulation to artificially increase speaker cabinet volume?
Yet to be determined.
Mark ... Don't be late .. we are waiting for the next video
I remember when I was heavy. Into car audio. Now that I'm older. I couldn't care less. What audio system, the car come with now. But I still keep up. On car audio technology. Just in case. I just back in.
What year/make/model/trim is your truck?
@caf if I already have a twk-88 could I use that instead of the VX amp and just go with another 8 channel amp and get the same results or close to it?
Im looking into a similar build in future. I cant get a clear answer on why someone would choose a helix or audio control dsp over the VXi series amps from JL. What was your reasoning?
Personal choice. First, the choice on whether to have a stand alone DSP or one integrated into the amplifier. Stand alone gives more system flexibility (can change amps or the DSP independently) but takes more space (usually) and increases complexity with needing more RCA cables, more power runs, etc.
Once you decide integrated or separate, you now need to decide brand. Helix, AC, JL, whatever - stick to major brands and you will get a quality product. They all offer pretty much the same flexibility so it comes down to maybe a specific feature or something like a preference for the JL commander knob over the Helix one or whatever.
@@BaddDukk thanks for taking the time to respond.
I'm either going to get the arc audio blackbird or the jl vxi there both top notch
Do you sell your build plans, I would be very interested in purchasing the subwoofer design and amp mounting plate design if you offered those items for sale?
Can the pass overs go bad or have a bad spot?
What kind of truck is this all going in?
Bro I would give you my car just so we have more build videos daily 😂🤙🏽 love your content
Will this box be 2.4 internally or overall net
Please please please when you do a review on that radio go into great detail on CarPlay the last Sony radio that I used (ax5600) was absolutely atrocious whenever you used CarPlay. It was about 20fps regularly but when in a phone call it would lag and only get 1-2 fps. I tried EVERYTHING. I just want to know if they fixed that issue with the new ones.
@caraudiofabrication I need your help.i have a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport with the JBL stereo… and I want to put a big bass in it.
I have a similar setup in my truck. I stated with the 12tw3, then went 13tw5. Honestly not much difference in my opinion. Kinda disappointing considering the massive price difference. Then went with the sundown sd3 12 in an underseat box with the seat lift and wow! Sound like full size subs.
😊
Can I have your old stereo equipment ??????
id use crutchfield but my car is NOT supported lol
Need that MBE Enclosure with Two 8’s !
He builds way better boxes than mbe
@@jasx1485mbe just makes boxes but mark is more of a perfectionist where he pays attention to every detail. Nothing wrong with it just two different build styles.
@@jasx1485Better in what way, looks?
I'm also wondering why Mark is not trying a ported enclosure. I'm guessing the three (4) 10's weren't loud enough. Two 8's in a ported enclosure can do 135-140dB which should be plenty loud.
I'm guessing Mark just prefers the sonic character of sealed.
@@JasonWW2000 he did 4 10in subs. Mbe is a basic box builder who slaps a little color on it
Would have had much better sound quality with the 9500ES
Those Sony radios are junk. Supposed to be the best sound quality radio rn but the connectivity issues are deal breaker
So sad you had to use those type of subs.
What's wrong with the 13TW5?
@@ch3ncerpau148 JL has a lot of haters.
@@thebkg apparently so
@ch3ncerpau148
Maybe it's a matter of "so sad I can't afford those subs"
I have two 12s in my ram and they sound amazing
