John Lennox is such a wise man in our time. An intellectual who has truly brought me closer to God on a theological level, and his wisdom is amazing imo. I thank God I live in the same time as him.

Is his book very readable? I am not very intelligent but would love to read the book if I could understand it. Dr. Lennox seems to be such a wonderful, loving man of GOD.

An AI machine can never self generate it's own energy to keep itself going forever, no. All one have to get rid of AI, is to switch it off ?? A battery source has it's limit, for example Elon Musk's Tesla autonomous (limited AI) electrical car. No ?
@@alexlong3714Intelligence is very different. An all intelligent blob could theoretically very easily multiply itself and spread itself across datacenters abusing all loopholes on the internet where it will never be contained once it reaches a certain level

An observation of mine is, when folks sit with a massive amont of books behind them on youtube, my advice is, STAY WELL CLEAR OF THESE FOLKS, AND THEIR ADVICE.
It will never be able to do what we can do as humans fully. It will never be able to repent.

If it's artificial, it's not intelligence. So the term "artificial intelligence" is both a misnomer and an oxymoron.

When a shaman in a secluded tribal settings, worship an Idol, made of stone/wood, what often happens is a spirit/demon comes to "dwell" in that idol...If that can happen, I have only seen something similar, not really a medium but I do believe to be true. Why would a demon, not take control and "dwell" in an AI machine?

There are those who comment that the founder of Tesla is dabbling in the "extension of life" technological area of A.I. [???].
It seems to me that, at least for now, A.I. is just a search engine that is good at formatting the search results. It's a computer program that can only do what it is told to do. It's not "thinking" at all. But it's ability to format text leads humans who don't fully understand the tech to think they are having a conversation with a computer. The danger of A.I. is in what we (humans) direct/trust it to do. Using it as a reference source for information to be considered in human decision making is one thing. Trying to use it to autonomously manage the power grid or assist with air-traffic control is another thing entirely.
AI is not merely a search engine because it goes beyond retrieving information to understanding, processing, and generating responses based on vast amounts of data. While search engines index and return relevant content based on user queries, AI systems, like neural networks, learn patterns from data, make predictions, and can engage in complex tasks such as natural language processing, image recognition, and decision-making. Thus, AI encompasses a broader scope of capabilities than a simple search, enabling more advanced and dynamic interactions with users.
The problem starts when AI are being used as autonomous agents to fulfill a task and communicate and engage with other AI’s. We lose full agency on it and bet on the hopes that the AI will function as how it’s prompted. But scientists are weary of that to let loose a swarm of AI bots that are all specialised in a single task and work together to complete goals. A bad actor can inject his AI with false motives and badly steer an entire swarm of bots to do something harmful or malovelent.
Artificial intelligence is fine, if it works! Yesterday, I read a Court story about a case where Counsel cited 9 decisions from an AI source. They all turned out to be inventions of the machine. Two Counsel face possible disbarment.

What a contrast, Dr. Lennox and Hawkins, 2 men, one IS wise and the other professing himself to be wise. Steven Hawkins died with no hope and went to his doom, John Lennox is looking forward to the glory that will appear with our savior and God Jesus.
Stephen Hawking while being brilliant lived a life of tremendous physical limitations. I think seeing how others can move around and engage with the world while you’re sitting there on a wheelchair connected to some computer just to speak. I would perhaps develop an anger for God as well. I just wish he will be saved by God’s grace despite his rebellion here on earth.
@eyoo369 I was born with a disability, I can't raise my hands above my head, I'm 37. I'm not angry at God, it actually made me closer to him, who knows what I could have done if I was normal. Don't excuse his atheism because of his condition. Denying God because you're angry at him is not a very logical thing to do.
@@xFlow777 I was born with a visible eye disabilty as well, very unsymmetric face. It's easy to put this burden on to God but as I'm older I also see God gives strengths in other areas. Always count your blessings.

It is like guns, it isn't guns or AI that is the problem but the power that be, technology enable them to achieve their agendas. Unfortunately as you can see, unlike guns, technology can be way more powerful for governments when it is made available even to both sides, the civilians and the governments.

The book of Revelations says that "the image of the beast" will be able to talk....could this be some sort of robot?
I mean AI is trained on all data of humans.. our image. So there’s definitely a chance that AI will eventually manifest itself as the beast from Revelations. Just for your information. ChatGPT today is nowhere even close to that. We still need to see couple AI breakthroughs before we can really conclude that AI = Beast

Will AI make justice conscious politicians and unexploitive business people? If so, I am for AI advancement. Whatever it may be, we need human engineers and programmers. What about computer programming to be learnt at school as general curriculum? Shall we be able to be hackers, too? AI can be programmed for evil used, depending the operators.

Same here. I’m yet to come across a comprehensive interpretation of the book of Revelation, and I believe every word though.
I think that it will be physical mark. My reasoning is that:
We won't be able to buy or sell without the mark. I mean it may be under the skin, but a machine will decide whether we can buy or sell.😢
What is, interphase with a data base, a human mind connected to a Longterm memory, for certain his own memory. Why can it Not be connected to the storememory of somebody else or from multiple memories....Today, I believe, from birth a child can be born with external "data" in his or her DNA, (that does have the potential to store information)
That would explain why some people for example remember a second world war events but he or she is to young to remember they could not been there and explain it by believing in The reincarnation. I am a born again believer 100%, not reincarnated....
