Traffic was CRAZY there...I think the method for crossing the street was to just go and not stop. You have to assume that the cars see you and if you stop or slow down for no reason, it breaks the rhythm of things AND THEN you're in trouble😂

15:15 great cooking meal coming out of an unfamiliar kitchen! Love the frantic energy you can only get in a city.

I was in Chennai and the traffic was crazy! They would stop and cause a traffic jam for the cows, but not for people crossing the street. Chennai has the unique aspect of being the highest number per capita of vegetarians in India. It was nice and I could find vegan food easily.

They don't stop for people because they will cross it anyways.😅

This was anxiety-inducing to me! So much stuff, so much noise, and so many moving things! Aggghhhh! But that makes for a great adventure! Your meal at the end gave me great relief because it was a proper plant-based meal, apart from the lack of veggies, compared to your wedding fare. Thanks for posting!

I was sooooooo hungry by then! Haha, probably the only person to lose weight during the wedding. I did find a bunch of fruits and veggies the next day so that was nice. I really enjoyed the people there. Fruit cart owners would just be cutting fruit and offering it to me while I bought something else. --- I'm sorry, as I was editing it, I was getting a little stressed! Yah, I kind of - well you all know me by now -- I know people tend to dress up vlogs a lot and for me, it was important everyone saw what I did. -- India really left a big indent and while it wasn't the most stress-free trip by far😂 it was a very important one.

I felt bad for the elephant who walked by behind you. Contrary to what most people think, once cows in India are used up for milk they either end up abandoned since they cannot be killed, or they are transferred to provinces where they are slaughtered for leather production.
I think it was a male cow in this shot and I guess you are in a province where they can’t be killed for leather.
I love the Indian culture and I feel great attachment to it. This is the kind of tourism I believe in where you go right in the middle of the real life of a place and not just the touristy places.

So I was in Jaipur and there were a lot of cows - some strays, some with owners. I think a positive of being in the city is that there was a ton of open food waste and open trash and I think the cows looked pretty well nourished - surprisingly - from that. It obviously leads my mind to juxtapose those that i typically see in the english countryside grazing on green grass, but sort of knowing that that time is short, maybe 18 months...5 for veal, and perhaps being artificially inseminated yearly if you're a dairy cow....vs...living in a more hectic environment, we had talked about how poor the air quality was when I was there, but kind of living your own life. The cows I saw on the street were clever with attitude! They went around as they pleased and it was a completely different vibe from what you see in England. -- But yes for sure, being there was difficult and first-hand experience gives people empathy that watching videos simply cannot. I'm personally a bit more of a humanist - so it made me want to change around how I live in general in hopes that it may have a small impact on how folks live in India.

Thank you for sharing your travel experiences!!! Love it. Did you travel alone? If so, would you make a video about traveling alone as a woman? Your experiences, tips, etc. I only ever travel with others and would love to travel alone someday. Many people around me think it’s a crazy idea since I’m a woman. It’s very discouraging, honestly.

U should eat dal bati churma, gatte ki sabji. You can buy bandhani saree, lehariya saree.
Eat kachori, ghewar etc for snacks. I love Jaipur, my husband used to go monthly once there before our marriage and get me dress materials and sarees.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I wish I had someone around to tell me what each of them were! I kind of did my best taking photos and then researching them back home😊 -- Oh gosh, that must have been nice. The textiles were beautiful in Jaipur.

@@EastMeetsKitchen If you come next time and if you wish to buy , ask around in shops. Ask to women who look mature and not to youngsters as they are from the readymade clothes age and can't help you buy best. Best not in terms of money but in terms of value.
I think people should travel to India for clothes. Fabrics, prints are exquisite.
I hope you will visit again. And I really hope I can make people like you my guest for dinner to have a chance to talk. Guides, hotels are people who work for money.
