That's a decent option, but it's bigger. I have the squirt and it fits perfectly in my wallet pouch along with a few other EDC essentials. I am going to be so sad when my squirt bites the bullet.
@@usernameisusername that's why I carry the Victorinox SAK Manager on my keys, & you can get some 3D printed scales for it so you can hold both the tweezers and the toothpick on one side
All the Squirt series are very good unfortunately Leatherman chose to discontinue them instead of the sh*tty Micra. Also unfortunately so are the Juice series they are all discontinued instead of the sh*tty Micra.
@@usernameisusername i know I heard about from others too, it was mentioned somewhere in the Internet that the pre-2000s Micra are still manufactured in good quality, those in ancient red/yellow or blue/yellow cardboard boxes… not the recent ones in Yellow/Black boxes.
I need you to stop making such good content, thanks to you , i have collected all 9 mini leatherman tools, and my leatherman collection is costing me thousands of dollars 😅
@@hvacbudget8600 lol so far it has costed me close to $10'000 already and I don't even have any of the garage series yet, or any of those Fancy Charges, My Most Rare Piece I Have Is The Vista So Far, I Really Want A Garage Piece
I'm just over Leatherman. You can get something just as good or nearly as good for a LOT less money. Why waste the $$ on the name, especially in these high inflationary times. You can eat or wear a Leatherman.
The ES4 was my first legit EDC tool besides a swiss army knife. Mine broke in 2023 and they sent me a last replacement. I sold it and bought a used one theyre worth so much now.
I made a leather pouch for my ps4, did carry it everyday and never used it because my go to is my vic classic (or my mini flagship if it´s on top in the pocket). But nowerdays I have a mini champ and a aliexpress prytool on my carkeys and the rescue scissors of aliexpress (I put a good dollup of hotglue over the glassbreaker to make it pocketfriendly) which mimic the Raptor scissors (those scissors cut through all they should cut and alot of the things they shouldn´t) so I´m set for most tasks...
I was a control & fire alarm electrician, I used the Radio Shack wire stripper’s a lot. They are very pocketable, add a control screwdriver and you had a pretty good kit. I don’t know if you are aware Victorinox made two special SAK’s for Radio Shack that are very desirable on the secondary market. They also came in handy in my work. one was a two layer with there pliers and a blade. They also made a special 84mm electrician’s knife, also just two layer. I believe they stopped selling the Squirt because the plier jaws were breaking and they had too many returns. It would suck to buy a Squirt on the secondary market only to have them break. especially if you paid a premium price.
That's not good. I have heard files are more brittle and so they can't handle too much stress. Not sure that's a good enough excuse for it not opening a paint can though.
@@hvacbudget8600I guess they need a good level of hardness that would make it brittle, I’ll try to remember that next time I think of using a file as pry bar.
The es4 was perfection....they are idiots for not making one.
No doubt the best keychain tool, I keep the last one I have tucked away since loosing it or breaking it would be so expensive.
Nextool Mini Sailor.
I like my mini sailor. Great fir the price

I'm in the same boat. He's costing me a fortune.
I have a squirt and couldn’t care less if they bring it back. It’s way too expensive and I prefer the scissors on my flagship mini.

I'd love them to being back the ES4 with the E4 phillips driver. I'd buy two copies of it immediately.
Don't pay a lot of money for a used Squirt. Get a cheaper different brand or just use a couple specific tools versus a multitool.
I got one only recently from ali express
That looks a lot like my Gerber dime
I believe that if send in a squirt to leatherman for repairs, they will replace it with a mirca.
Probably so. I better hang onto my squirt.

Very cool about the SAK's.
I have a PS4, but was able to get a used ES4 off eBay just now for $80. Glad I was able to get one for under $100. Great video!
Good job!
If one serie was to be ressucited it should be the JUICE !!!! Period
The radioshack tool is actually just squirt e4, not es4.
Good to know! I like it better!
SOG PowerPint all the way!

If they bring it back, make a TSA compliant version without the knife blade.
A version where the scissors are replaced by some more durable implement would be awesome and they won’t worry about warranties so much.
Definitely!!
As an Electronics Tech, a Radio Shack Leatherman ES4 would be the perfect keychain tool for me 👍
I'll struggle thru with my Dime though 🫤
I can also see it useful for control panels, the screwdriver probably fits well on DIN rail terminal blocks.
