Sir what you call a "gut hook" is a european belt hook, used in emergencies to cut yourself loose from a flipped car or other things 3:05 this is a diamond coated file, used to sharpen or shape hardened steel made out of diamond duist incrusted in nickel coating 8:00 if you want a tips , the sharpen side is in fact meant to be held at 45° while applying pressure on the hooked side, once you have a notch all you do is turn the can until it opens(for those interested the can opener has a "leatherman" style wire stripper,i know a lot of people prefer them over the rounded one)
I've seen other people do reviews on this but they're all basically out of the box I would like to see a long-term review on them even though I've already bought one and have already got my own thoughts on it I think so far it's a good tool to have
I've got both and I can say 100% Gordon knocked it out of the park. If they made replaceable cutters, it'd really put a dent in any Leatherman justification.
That’s not a bad little multi tool… I’ve been thinking about getting another leatherman, but I might have to take a trip to harbor freight… Thanks for the video.
Looks a lot like the Nextool. About the same price. I wish they would make a kit with an assortment of blades so you could build your own and ditch the file.
Unfortunately Gordon doesn’t specify the type of steel other than stainless. Since it isn’t my primary knife (Benchmade is my edc) I wasn’t too concerned. It seems much better than Swiss Army but not quite as good as a high end knife.
My arc sits in a drawer because its an overpriced toy . the patent expired on th wave in 2020. I keep my Gordon on me st the jobsite and its just as good as my old wave for $40 with a pocket clip lol
Well if you didn't already have the ARC this maybe a good price to get something... LOL, If you're not looking for something on the budget , why are you watching this video?
Nice share

Id love to see a review of it ,6 months or a year from now
Leatherman's patent on Wave has run out, that's why everyone is suddenly churning out copies of it.

Im also looking at Bibury and the Rocktol , Trying to decide myself.

I agree!
Blade steel?

I've heard some mention it's 5cr
It looks like something Leatherman should be suing over for patent infringement.
Considering the patent ran out here is why leatherman doesn't sue them
China couldn’t care less about patents
@@knuckles-3386 Considering they have to sell stuff internationally. They have to at some point. Patents have a 20 year length
Anyone else cringe when he started using the file like that?
It´s a copy of the Leatherman Charge+. 🚨⚠
Why would i ditch my Leatherman ARC for a leatherman knock off that is clearly Patent infringement
Leathermans patents expired
