- To mark #EarthDay2024, we'd like to introduce you to the newest, fanciest part of the Rare Ltd studio. A large space created for collaborative game-making designed with sustainability at its heart, this is Barn X!
A nature themed studio? Hmmm, almost makes you wanna make a third Viva Piñata 👀

Rare took a big gamble on a open world mmo esq pirate looting game that turned out to be massively successful. I have faith that anything they make going forward will be great and thus if this new building helps them make the next great game I'm all for it!
It doesn't. It just attracts more investment from ESG firms.

@@DatNooit I think so, if we learned anything from sea of thieves it'll be a big open game with hella stuff to do, I'm just hoping it's good, sea of thieves is fun with a group or of you so happen to run into a group of friendly player but it can be frustrating/not so fun to play alone or with Randoms who either have no idea how to do anything or that run off and do their own thing. I'm hoping ever wild is different
@@Itsphishayphishaaay Yeah, to fund games that promote a hamfistedly political message and attract more ESG investments to continue the cycle. It isn't about the gameplay or story anymore, and you're a mindless consoomer if you can't see it. Most of these big techs are operating at a massive loss of revenue when you look only at sales, because people are tired of their shallow garbage, but they stay afloat through these ideological investors.
Really glad that Rare is still around to this day!

Im in a greyzone. In the last 8 years, theyve only pushed sea of thieves and microtransactions
@@DriftScale they have been putting tons of effort into sea of thieves. they consistently add new content and improve the game and listen to players and microtransactions aren't crucial to the game in any way.

For me, his LFC t-shirt was the highlight of the video! But seriously, it's really nice seeing new buildings being sustainable and corporations having the environment and green energies as a pre-requisite.

Seriously... i know im a big fan of Rare and my opinion is maybe not objective, but The headquarters of Rare is a beautiful place. Nature, animals, decorations, nice people, all the logo of Rare everywhere. It's heaven really !! I love it !!💙💙 i wish could go there and discover this place by myself

Your job is to develop and promote GAMES. The paying customer doesn't care about your irrelevant eco side hobbies or personal problems. Keep that stuff amongst yourselves. Do not bring it to the forefront.

I read from a note that an interviewer made that the guys at rare said.
It was that banjo kazooie doesnt have enough fans and they lost a few people of the og team.
Rare is basically dead.
They lost my respect.
They killed off the rest of q lot of peoples childhood.
They lost their integrity.
They are no longer creative like they used to be.
And worst of all.
They wont even try to redeem themselves because their past games arent popular today, and instead of making legendary gamea again, they choose to spend 10 years on sea of thieves. They wont even try.
Old rare is dead. I want banjo threeie.. but i have no hope that they will actually do it. Because banjo kazzoie doesnt have enough fans as of today.
Glad all new game companies dont share tbis sbitty idea. I wish they would just sell the characters to people that could actually make something good with them. Its sad to see top tier game characters die with a gaming company because of some dumb idea. They rather see their audience leave than make sometbing that would grow it. They would rather let it die than make it expload with excitement and joy. They took a shitty 7 vite petition for pvp in sea of thieves but they sleep on the 2000 signatures on a petition begging them to make another banjo kazooie. Rare says its because theres not enough fans. Its really that they dont give a ahit about banjo fans and they dont want to grow their business, and make money off that, because they have sea of thieves.
The saddest part of this is that Rare WAS my favorite game company when i was growing up. It was in my 20s when i realized that waiting for something new or a bring back of banjo kazooie was futile after 8 years of sea of thieves

While news/announcements have been absent for years, art and installations still sneak into places like the video above!
They still put Everwild stuff into little sculptures around the office, into new Christmas Cards, stuff like that 😄 which I can't imagine doing if it were scrapped!
