Your attention to detail and work ethic is something else, also full marks to Lakeland Machinery, stunning service from them. You need the extra reassurance of those tyres and operator safety nailed down to work effectively on those hills I would say I see where you are coming from. Another brilliant video Adrian.
A very nice purchase Adrian. A proper genuine example of how to look after a tanker and big upgrade to your farm. You mentioned the hydraulic change over and new brakes but you’ll never go back with the addition of a sprung drawbar! So much more comfortable and less stressful on both tanker and tractor. Enjoy your time with her and looking forward to seeing the new lights and decals being fitted to her!
Great purchase Adrian. Can't wait to see her all minted up with all your extras. It will be good content for your channel, I'm looking forward to you spray painting the drawbar, wheelarches. You get this merch sorted you'll be flying 🙂
@@IFarmWeFarm Adrian, I am a teacher. I love your videos. They provide so much good information about how to do things. I woke up this morning thinking about the children that watch your videos and the opportunities for exposing them to STEM-science, technology, engineering and math. We got to see all the new parts that were added to your new tanker, but some of the parts haven't been added metal on metal-there is a seal for many metal on metal connections. Andrew Pemberton (the man is so knowledgeable) was explaining to Tom about the clearance of the glass tube on the front of their tanker with the metal it is connected to. There is a rubber joiner connecting the two parts. Andrew was talking about the tolerance of millimeters and how to lift the glass piece out. You've shown us how to re-wire lamps and the import of having good lights on the back of the tanker. I can imagine you traveling after sunset to get home on the hard-topped road. Having good lights on the back of the tanker is certainly important. Can you please talk to the importance of seals when you talk about mechanics...and maybe the tolerance (math) separating the pieces if you know what they are?
Best of luck with the tank adrian.you can always not fill it fully for the hilly areas.it will be handy for drawing over to your outside farm. Maybe open the door and wash it out once a year would keep the life in it too. Happy spreading or drawing with it.
Super video great looking tanker ..I'm sure ull have it tidied up in no time. Hopefully the weather will stay good to get it out on the field.you will need to change the diesel filters in the case to pull her 🤣😅😂
We have had an abbey tanker for 5 years and the other day she wasn’t working right and when we took the splash pate off we found the metal disc that they has cut out and left in the tank!
Looks a very nice tanker Adrian ,the dealer has looked after you very well ,abbey tanks are good I run a 1600 gallon with big wheels dose not make any mess even on wet ground
Hi Adrian, Wellware on your new tank and hope it is very lucky for you. It's a lovely clean tank and I'm really looking forward to seeing the upgrades you are going to give it. I do know one thing Lakeland won't have your old tank long. It's a credit to you how you kept it. 👍
Think you have got a very good buy with that tank ! This time of year is good you know it’s going to get better weather wise and you can plan your work load
Great looking tanker, just a few things on hillsides it’s going to the weight higher up , have been using recessed tankers on steep slopes in Fermanagh for twenty years and they will slide to. But the extra height and being a little narrower than the 1600 easier to roll, speaking from experience rolled a tanker myself and wasn’t rallying about either. Driving on flat ground one thing , very steep another, i would have the new rims made to make the tanker a little wider. All the best.
I bought my first cattle trailer there when I was 18 years old and the service was always the same from day one, it’s getting to be a rarity though unfortunately
Lovely tank. Can’t bait the abbey. Have 2 myself. I did my older one up with led lights and work lights. Stainless steel brackets. Lovely job. Would love to send u a picture. It might give u some ideas. Great video
They’ve been the exact same way with me since i bought my first cattle trailer when I was 18 and I still have it, they need no advertising from me as there very well known 👌 cheers lad
Great video Adrian, Best of luck wit new tanker, have to say hard to beat Abbey, I'm just after putting dribble bar on mine, waiting for dry weather to get it out working.
I'm here to see whats happening after Farmer P mentioned you, been to Cavan once years ago fishing, was cracking place, so green and very friendly people, we stayed on a farm too B&B, was awesome.
