Kuhn 10ft with the topping skids is all weve used since 2007, mighty job. Can’t fault it have one mower here still from 2002. A fc302 Gi still mowing the finest. Parts easy got too, never an issue. Can’t fault them.
Best of luck with her Adrian. She's a fine looking yoke. 6 years ago we almost made the exact same choice as yourself. Only we went with the t6. Looking forward til seeing her in many videos to come.

That’s a savage tractor. Best of luck with it. I bought a kuhn mower second hand last year. Can’t fault it. Use it for topping and mowing. I’d definitely consider a new Kuhn if that’s what your looking for.
That's a fine looking tractor Adrian best of luck with her, looking forward to seeing her in more videos. Don't mind the begrudgers just do your own thing 👍
Best of luck with the new tractor Adrian. We have a Kuhn mower with no conditioner we use is for topping and mowing. I will say we will be going down the road of 2 mowers one with a conditioner for silage. Our Kuhn is great for topping leaves a clean cut stubble for grazing to grow back when topping. We find a silage mowed with a conditioner is far better your grass will wilt more and dry out better meaning less bales as your not baling water better quality silage less time drawing in bales less wrap to buy as you have less bales. Baler wise I think you can’t go far wrong with a McHale great baler and very little to go wrong with. Look forward to seeing the new tractor working. Have a look at our channel and if you have time it would be great if you could give our channel a shout out to help it. We are originally from Ireland but now living and farming in Aberdeenshire. 👍🏻
She’s a lovely Massey Adrian, some dairy farmers would kill to have a tractor half as nice,I know she’s a 2015 but still👍😎Also bet Adrian is the type of person to blow the speakers listening to heavy metal😂😂😂
As we say in limerick Adrian... well wear with the new tractor. No harm to change up. What you described went wrong with the older tractor in one of your videos, its no harm to get it out of the yard, especially if the younger generation or interested.
When you are driving the tractor yourself it’s great to have all the home comforts when you might spend many hours in it. I’ll bet it looks the same or even better when you come to trade it for another one in years to come 👍. Good on you. Hope you enjoy it, you deserve it 👏👏👏
Have a belt driven 8 ft Malone mower since 2009. Cuts first cut no bother. Very strong machine . Good bit cheaper than other mowers . Important you get the right blade for her as well
See there u looking for a mower. We previously had Kuhn mowers. Kuhn are fine for topping but we didn’t find that they did a good cut for silage ground. Krone are also a very good mower and leave a clean cut on silage ground . We operate a pottinger disc mower. 10ft centre pivot. We couldn’t complain about it,, it leaves a clean finish on the ground. Parts are readily available for them also. Previously we had belt driven 10ft pottinger, we never had belt trouble once the belts were tightened to the last
L have a margaron 8 foot mower bought her new , she is great mower to yous, flotes on ground, all round topping, moving great mower for any man to use Adrian. Kieran from Laghey donegal town
Well ware with the new tractor. If you're thinking about buying a mower hard to pass trail conditioner bought 1 ourselves 3 years ago haven't looked back won't get a cleaner cut. Keep your disc mower for topping and pre mowing.
Krone ECR 280 is what we have Adrian, some mower to shave ground and not hard on n the tractor. 9ft 2” cutting width with a swathing board which works great in heavy crops
Best of luck Adrian ..... She really does look the part 👌🏻 Think we’re all eager to see her hooked up to the Abbey tanker .... Must say I love the goals you set yourself .... Top Form 👌🏻
Just warning ya, the first year of owning a second hand baler will be the most soul crushing experience of your life Make sure you see the netting in action as anyone can put it turning and have it sound alright As you know don't take a lads word that "yeah shes working grand" Well may the new massey wear, just a shame she isnt blue 😉
I was starting to come to the realisation that you too are in Cavan, when you mentioned Auto Sparky I knew it. It's a great shop, I bought a full CB rig from there for less than €200 a few weeks ago. Good luck with your new beast, it''s a fine looking machine.
Yeah Adrian we have a malone procut 800 must say it is a great machine doesn’t take much horsepower we have 100 hp and pulls it like a dream. Tractor looks lovely wish ye all the best
Picked up a 2016 Kuhn GMD 280 mower here this year - 9ft. Traded in a Kuhn GMD 55 Select (6ft6) The 280 is a serious machine. Hasn't struggled yet and has cut all first cut, does all the topping, and is ready and waiting for 2nd cut now! Cutting is a joy now. Best of luck with the Massey
Just seen the video love the tractor. Did you ever think of puting a massey loader on the old one and sell the international? And keep them one breed .
Nice tractor health to wear. Been cutting grass for thirty years tried all sorts of mowers, the vicon with its three blades per disc cuts the cleanest and I have found the blades last twice as long. The vicon and knerverland mowers identile only the number of blades different.
Well I'm over the moon for ya, that was a great purchase, great idea for the tablet, you could hook up a Bluetooth portable camera for the hitch and trailers too and save the aul back from twisting.
Best of luck with the new machine looks part may she be lucky. For your work theirs a lot to be said for keeping your disc mower and getting a fresh second hand conditioner mower at least then you can use the belt driven one for topping in case you hit the odd stone topping recently reseeded ground. Then you can bale the 10ft rows out of the conditioner mower save you buying a rake as well.
Love the new tractor. I use a Pottinger 10 foot belt drive mower. Had an issue with the belts first year but Pottinger stood behind their product even out of warranty.
The lely is the best thing we have bought for the farm have it 7 years and runs perfect does everything on the farm topping and mowing silage and has just lost the paint no rust on it that what my father wanted when we bought it new was something that would last and my uncle recommended it to him because he is a contractor
Bon jovi "livin on prayer" I'd say blasting out speakers, although boyzone might be more your era 😁nice tractor but change it for one with a front loader. When your finished baling you can start drawing them in while the case is still wrapping, unless your going for a combi baler . Keep the old mower for topping you'll get feck all for trade in and You don't want to be covering your new moco in cow shite for the summer.
I bought a krone 9 foot mower and Its the best mower I have ever seen to cut heavy crops and this year I had the heavyst first cut I can remember and it wos down to and it was noting to it and the finish it left behind you wouldnt think that the silge wos down at all

Best of luck with new tractor Adrian, have a 2014 MF. 7616 myself, can't fault them, great power n comfort. I have a Tarrup 4228 mower, very easy driven, do all mowing with our 90 hp tractor, had Krone before but would stay with Tarrup, very tidy well finished mower.
All the best with the tractor. Fine machine. Go for a 10ft mower to suit rakes. Rakes tend to catch the next row when mowed with 9ft. New mowers on the market that can disengage the conditioner for topping etc.
Nice tractor👍we test drive 7600 series n we like how it operated. But I still like four cylinder especially around livestock work, big six is still needed for our hilly country especially pulling a load.
Hi Adrian Best of luck with the new Massey another mower to look at is a 10ft kvernland Mounted mower have a one 3 years now and mow silage and top fields and all and no pressure what so ever a easily driven mower 👍
Well wear on the new tractor Adrian. It's a fine machine. On the mower, we have a Kuhn GMD20. It's a 2m so you'd be looking for larger machine but we are extremely happy with it. It makes a lovely cut for hay/silage but very good for topping and cleaning fields. It's a well engineered piece of kit
Kuhn is what we opted for in the end just seemed more robust and was a few quid cheaper than the other two didn't bother with the conditioner as we turn out the silage anyway and we have come to the conclusion that the conditioner is great in a very bad year but maybe a bit severe on grass in a normal or good year ie. Grass starts to heat very quickly after mowing with a conditioner which has to burn off sugars but the advantage is you get a good wilt in five or six hours whereas with the ordinary mower if you get the right weather you can mow and turn out and leave it for 24 to 48 hours and get a great wilt. We like to have our bales as dry as possible without being haylage, I would advise that you only top good pasture with the mower as rough ground is not their fortie we have a major topper for that sort of work the mower will cut rushes but they are very hard on it . By the way we bought the 6715 because we intend buying a baler for next year as well so I would be interested to see what you are thinking of we would love to get a combi if we can find one clean enough for the money we have to spend, we make about 1500 bales a year so baling and wrapping comes into a lot of money even when we supply the wrap.and there's always the problem of getting the contractor at the right time even with the best will in the world a contractor will not be keen to stop baling hay to come to my silage,no problem in May but the first week in July can cause issues.
Congratulations Adrian on buying as much as it hurts me a beautiful looking tractor! May she give you many many hours of service. Would love to have seen the girls reaction to it coming home! God bless and keep her between the ditches! 👍💕
