Adrian your farm is a credit to you. You’re always thinking of the welfare of your animals. Those people who say farmers only think of the bottom line would do well to follow your channel. Good luck for the rest of the calving season.
I came on this channel to watch the Cottage renovation and now I'm hooked on farming. It's so interesting to see the calves being born as well as your daily tasks on the farm. Adrian you are such a nice man and I could listen to your calming voice all day.Your love for your cows shines through and they are so lucky to have you.
My husband and I did exactly the same thing. Then we went to the very first episode of IFWF, and haven't missed Video yet. What a fantastic family and so hard working, had some broken 💔 lately, but time and keeping those you love in your heart does help every day. Jackie and Derek Leigh.❤
Adrian you do make Sunday mornings Great Again!!! Not many people take as much pride and care for their animals the way you do. Your videos still make me feel that there are decent people in this world. God bless you and your family!!!
If you cased that wall in the calving pen in two halves; go down two or three feet with steel and concrete and then overlap the steel up a foot over the concrete level and shutter it it more steel and concrete; it would probably be the best job. We had one of those block walls that came down too. There doesn't be much holding them.
I grew up on a farm and never gave a thought to a farmers intelligence until my husband (who grew up in the city) told me he always thought farmers were dumb, until we moved next to a farmer and he found out that a farmer had to know how to fix everything along with knowing animal husbandry, planting and harvesting and everything else a farmer does. A farmer could go from farming to a white collar job with few problems but take a white collar worker and put him on a farm and he would not have a clue what to do or where to start. You seem to know it all.
Hi Adrian and all of your family in Ireland, just heard the weather for us all, we are in the North of England, but I'm thinking you are going to get it worse. God please keep you, your family and all your wonderful Animals safe and sound 🙏 😊 Jackie and Derek Leigh 😢
Seankilkenny7598.Hi thanks for the text Sean, I and my husband are avid watchers of IFWF, and watched with a broken heart for Adrian and his Mum, that his lovely father had died. I was just concerned about Adrian himself having to go out calving in that terrible weather. Hope they are all safe and well 🙏 💕
You have the patience of a saint when it comes too two stroke engines.😊 Collars seem to spot underlying issues that don't show. Hope the Cow recovery is quick 😊
Thank you for explaining so much about dairy birth and life to this city lad, it was really interesting especially about the worry of a dominant cow hurting an new mother and the steps you take to prevent that from happening. I thought only humanity was that cruel toward its own. Seeing that calf coming out was quite beautiful, a true miracle of mother natures own making and every bit as beautiful as seeing my own 3 being born.. I don't think that I will ever tire of seeing new life coming to be. Thank you Adrian, god bless you and yours - stay safe!
Hope ye are weathering this storm okay. It's flipping mental out there. 6:30 am... No sleep to be got. Hope the herd, in particular the newer ones, the ones on the way and the ones waiting to deliver are all doing okay.
I look forward to your videos more than any others. I wonder if you used to tinker with things when you were little and that's how you learned how things work. You seem to be able to fix anything !! Glad the cows are doing well, the babies are beautiful!!! See you next Sunday!!!
There are so many jobs on the farm. You don't seem to have a minute to sit still! I am glad that you are showing the details as you go through the day and am learning a lot about daily farming.
Hey Adrian, love your channel, it's a highlight of my week! I expect others have said this too but I've been in IT all my working life and is strongly advise you to keep writing things in your hardback record book. Computers are a convenience but it's too easy for things to be accidentally changed or lost in there, accidentally or deliberately. The authoritative record, at least as far as you are concerned, should be what you have written down in your own hand. Just look at the Horizon post office scandal in the UK. Plus- keep those for long enough and if your one of your daughters takes over the farm- well, it's just a nice thing to have, isn't it. Computer will never replace that.
I am also a bit concerned, but read, that over 400.000 houses have no power in Ireland, so Adrian has probably more important things to do, than editing videos for us.
You are a MACHINE Adrian ! You are on non-stop motion ! I have a troweling machine I use for finishing concrete and had it tuned up at a local place , a friend wanted to borrow it ! So i lent it to him and when he brought it back it wouldnt run right ,come to find out he was messing with those 2 adjustments screws on the carburetor ! Took me days to sort it out !
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤ I’m retired right now. I really enjoy your great info and your episodes about fixing and repairing tools.❤ for extra money, I used to have a lawn care that takes care of everything from landscaping to cutting the grass❤ I really appreciate you showing a lot interest, and repairing your stiihl blower ❤ I was electrician by trade, people in Ireland call it a Sparky, but in America, we call electrician ..❤..but In my younger years I worked everything from landscaping to construction to painting in my day thank goodness that you cover it all you jack of all trades and I appreciate your channel. I’m only into it for the cow content because I really am planning to get a farm going and getting some south pole cowsthat’s a breed of cow. That’s a really efficient on eating grass not feeding hay all the time.❤❤
That was the best job of telling people not to give you advice! I really enjoyed that one. But you do offer the moms a couple buckets of warm water after they freshen, right? You could get some of our weather here in southern Wisconsin it is already -21 c at 9 pm. 😮 As always stay well, and stay safe.
One may make cheese from the first milk after calving, mix like half and half with regular cow milk, just pour the milk in a casserole and boil it in water-bath for like an hour until the consistency is like pudding. Let it cool down and set. itself. Serve with cinnamon, sugar, caramel sauce, berries, .... something sweet.
Fair play to your farm husbandry and how clean that freshly calved cow is👍 and so calm👍. Will the bvd testing ever finish I wonder. I didn’t know you could still get sulfa powders. Great stuff💪
Adrian, I love watching your videos. I am impressed by the care and concern you have for your cows and how well you know each one. As I am not a farmer, I am curious about what happens to the calves and how long do you keep them.
Do Brix test the colostrum Adrian? Colostrum is so important but colostrum at the right level is better - we wrote the brix number and cows ID number on the bag - We pay around NZ$100 for one here in NZ and did both dairy and fruit with it
❤ I also watch 10 generation farmer.. it’s great they have each other father and son ❤ anything with cows, ..🐄 Greg Judy and also I like farming videos, until last year I didn’t know what was the difference between hay and straw, I know hay you feed the animals.. it’s straw that I really didn’t understand.. I know now it’s the left over biproduct from wheat and barley , grains etc.. I think it’s very curious that some ranchers feed corn and wheat some various concoctions there of❤ they go and make crack corn so it’s more nutritious ❤ some feed molasses in the SILAGE ❤
Angus are hardy little cattle, do well on good ground or bad ground, those leave blowers are hand around the yard. Your animal husbandry is first class. The old saying looks after them well and the will not sick apply😮
All new stihl equipment won't run properly if your fuel mix is over 3 months old. My wee 2 year old strimmer is already showing signs of this, had to go back to my old 26 year old strimmer last week.
Them fuel pipes on the stilh tend to close, and either replace or if you were a heartsurgeon fit a stint!, the carb is usually fine. And they seem to like the premixed better as the new e petrol damages the fuel line and seals

Hi Adrian hope you and your family are ok, not sure if you would have been affected by the storm that hit the Isle of Ireland.
You are very close to my own age but you're like my Dad on UA-cam. So many really helpful tips explained so well. My own Dad is a gem too❤
Adrian myself and my uncle are a massive fan keep making good videos
Sunday’s are good again now Adrian has uploaded a video
You have the patience of a saint when it comes too two stroke engines.😊

Calving, milking and leaf blower repair. That was a great combination. Thank you Adrian . Cheers to you and hour family. 😊
What an insane world that you can buy the near exact part for bugger all with the tool you want and other parts. Bonkers!

What a man I love watching him x
By your name, I'm assuming you're female. I'm male and love watching him too😍..😂
Most the writing on the white board makes sense to me 👍
Cracking video again, Adrian. Your a master at fixing stuff. I'll bring you over my generator to get fixed 😅

Great video Adrian. Good way to get a dose into the cow with a bottle , reminds me of the old days doing it. 😃. Enjoyed watching 👍🏼👍🏼
I'm amazed ya do so much yourself .. and so neat .. even the jeep is clean ... something ya don't see much of with a active farmer

Always look forward to the southern irish accent on a sunday....ifarmwefarm!!
He's from Cavan. That's not a southern accent to a Tipperary man.
No video upload as of 4pm Sunday. Hope all is OK after the storm, and it's just an extended power outage you're dealing with.

Wonderful video/jobs packet with useful information, and all the while filming 👍🏻 Have a wonderful day Adrian and family ❤
last time i saw a bottle that big in a cows mouth, it wasn't medicine in it , but a clear mountain dew
Stihl / Milwaukee/ makita do brilliant little electric leaf blowers, great for blowing down bales / mowers / yards and sheds
You are a famous man! I was watching another farmer who raises sheep and he referenced you, That is the sigh that you have e made it!

Adrian, where did you learn so much about wee petrol engines? Somewhere my knowledge is severely lacking
Hi Adrian that was a great job with your door on the shad and the best of luck with all your cows calfing 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Evening Adrian and family.
Good honest work! Thank you for sharing
Good luck with everything ahead on the farm 👍👍👍🚜
Great vid Adrian. Good to get that blower going again.
Have the same blower and use it to clear snow up to 4 inches of powdered snow. Awesome video 👍🏻🇨🇦☘️

Thanks Adrian, this was just what I needed.
I am quite envious of your work ethic, your attention to detail, and your tidiness. A rare combination in any trade, but seldom found in agriculture

Try getting the plastic pallets for the calfs to lie on
Hello, have you ever used a brix refractometer to test the quality of your colostrum? The Golden stuff is not always the best quality
What what power Pack , blue one you had? Good thing to get him fir birthday, he's raving about it😊
Hello Adrian, calving started well good strong calves, we shall call you James,, Condon, !! from now on.
Gas heater for water, in the calf house.
Could we hav update, review on it. Thinking of getting something to heat water in the lambing shed

Adrian, is that jeep a turbo ?
I don't think you rub the bits, that will short, {my understanding} just hold it, pass it through a couple or three times without touching. 😀
Depends on what bits your talking about 😉
