I was running through enemy trenches all the way from HQ to flank the objective with a squadmate, we were almost there when he looked back at me while walking backwards and the walked right into a mine. Definitely went a bit slower after he was in pieces lol

@@teslo8020 I just can’t get into HLL, I’ve had it since release, I’m playing it right now and I still think it’s trash compared to post scriptum. Even though post scriptums devs are garbage and haven’t done anything for the game in over a year. Hll looks nicer, but sound wise and gameplay wise PS is still leagues ahead. Every time I play HLL, I just think that it’s a wasted opportunity to play PS

to be fair, like currently im playing tarkov, and its abysmal at how short the grass renders. Like you think you have cover but in reality youre just in a field of play-doh from far away.

PS plays like a dead cow in space while looking worse than HLL
Due to your "butin is le natzi" username and the "PS is a real mans game. Manly, bearded men rubbing post scriptum juice all over their manly bearded faces" comment its evident you try to be an elitist but end up looking like a try-hard. HLL is the better game, PS didn't move an inch forward in 2 years and, while beeing more intended for serious gameplay, can't deliver either on the gfx department nor on the gameplay side
Granted, HLL is a bit more arcady and allows for run n gun but that only helps enjoying yourself while playing. PS offers bad gfx, weirdly proportioned rifles and stiff movement worse than Verdun/Tannenberg
The "Squad" framework only works halfway good in Squad itself, PS as ww2 offshot and the ww1 game whichs name eludes me and nobody asked for just show that it takes more than a stable framework to make a good game

Most common names for cylindrical top mags are either “pan magazine” or “plate magazine” depending on where you’re from.

This is the best WWII game I've ever played. Maps look fantastic, battles are always exciting and memorable, and the teamwork is top notch. Every role is important and the game genuinely feels balanced at least on the infantry side. I haven't had much experience with armor so I can't really give an opinion either way. All in all, great game. I'm glad I moved over to PC for games like this

Doesn't really take a lot. I run a i5-6600K 4 core, 16Gb 3600 RAM, and a Windforce 980ti 6Gb and manage to pull 90-120 FPS. Just need to optimize your Winblows for gaming and then the game video settings.

@OperatorDrewski To answer your question about the DP-27/-28, the pan magazine carries 47 rounds. Also, you can monitor your rough ammo count in the pan by watching the position of the pan cover. It rotates clockwise as you fire (and it empties).
That whine you hear bigger shells giving off a fraction of a second before they impact. Never heard that before. Astonishingly immersive sound design.

It's a Dp-27, the magazines are called "Disk Magazines". Dp is Дегтярева Пулемёт (Degtaryova Pulemet) which translates to Degtaryov's Machine-Gun.

consoles can't process all of the special effects or other things that go into a realistic shooter, not to mention the bad frames per second is going to ruin the experience even more.

@@4T3hM4kr0n The xbox series x is more powerful than a lot of PCs. My laptop plays this game smoothly and Above 60fps but the series x is more powerful than my laptop. I spent 1000+ bucks on a gaming laptop when msrp of series x is only 500. So definitely we will see games like this on console.

They don´t have proper comms. No good squad systems.
Games like Hell let Loose or Squad don´t have people magically communicating and playing together. They do a lot to make sure that happens and is actually useful.

You can tell easily how much ammo you have left in your tapes by just looking at the loading pull-tab. The tape will always make one complete spin before you've spent all your 47 rounds, so it's in a way the only gun in the game that actively tells you how much ammo you got left.

I've heard the DP and Lewis magazines referred to as pan mags, since drum mags are sprung, while a pan mag usually isn't, being gravity fed.

Hey Drewski! I have a good game suggestion for you. The game is called "BRAIN OUT". It's a 2D shooter with mechanics that are similar to escape from tarkov. The game is kinda dying, wich is sad, because the devs put a lot of love in that game.

This game has been around for a while. A good WW2 game without trying to be politically correct. No black soldiers and women screaming and no 12yo call of duty idiots. Never thought cod would go from good old days, united offensive, cod 2 to having to avoid anyone and anything that plays it. And did i mention this is a PC game?! No console peasents. Amazing game
