The Challenger crew were really thankful for us helping them and it felt great to do some actual teamwork. my dad was a LAV commander in the Canadian infantry that fought in Afghanistan, he was even awarded the military medal of valour for his actions in Afghanistan. awesome video by the way drewski ill send it to my dad so he can check it out as well.

Why is your viewdistance like 100 meters? Wasn't a main feature of Squad "Unlimited Viewdistances", it was one of the main reasons they decided to move to the unreal engine!
@@OperatorDrewski If you watch real footage of any confrontation in the middle east you will never see that kind of "Dust Everywhere all the time" situation. It makes the game that was supposed to mimic "Reality" feel more gamey instead. You end up having vehicular combat engaging at unrealistic distances, hardly an accurate representation of the real thing. Too bad. But you rock this has nothing to do with you or your channel. Hell Let Loose's devs do portrait the battles much closer to the actual range engagements of the time because even thou they use the same engine as Squad they don't impose those unrealistic limitations to their players.

there was this one time in gorodok rus vs. brits, me and a bunch of other guys took all armor in one big convoy and stomped the brits, we had 1 tank, 1 bmp, 2 btrs and a scout car
It’s funny that you brought up the Stryker. General Dynamics proposal to the US Army was a variant based off the LAV. Guess what they called it. The Stryker, hahaha. They’re basically the same vehicles with the same manufactures. So to say one is better than the other is probably as misnomer. They might have slight variances to one up each other in very specific circumstances but on a whole they the same.
I'm astonished with how close the in game graticule is to the real thing. All I noticed is the ranges are slightly off. Also surprised you don't have a ballistic mode you can use. that would be cool.
The ASLAVs that Australia uses are based on the LAV II chassis, similar to the US Marine's LAV-25. The Canadian LAV-6 is an upgraded LAV III chassis, so technically it's 1.5 generations newer than Australia's ASLAVs. However, Canada does still use a reconnaissance vehicle called the Coyote which is based on the LAV II chassis but there are much fewer of these than LAV 6s. TMYK
Actually I did this exact same thing with a full squad a few weeks ago, only difference was the comms were unusable due to all the autistic screeching and panicking resulting in all our horrible deaths, but still pretty close!
You don't use Ap rounds for Logis, neither helis. Then if you wanna do a vehicules pack, you do multiples squads so that all of you can mark stuffs, and let your squad lead coordinate the pack.
Check out the really old B&W TV series "The Rat Patrol". That's what you guys are popping over those hills like that. (Actually--I just checked--the TV series is in colour. My family had a black and white TV when I was young.)

It was developed in Canada from the LAV II family and is the primary mechanized infantry vehicle of both the Canadian Army and the New Zealand Army. It also forms the basis of the Stryker vehicle used by the US Army and other operators. If I'm not mistaken this is also a Stryker variant. I do love the fact that it is very quiet compared to the LAV 25.

In reference to the "nitro boosting" bit, you actually can boost your vic speed by firing behind you in squad. It's most noticeable on tanks though.
No the most noticeable is the AA technical that shit can go into orbit if you hit a big jump and start firing at the right time
