Heating up the tape and the surface right before you put it on helps it stick. You have to drill the real diffuser into the underside. I have the same one.
Just realized I have been watching this channel for a few years but I'm not subscribed. 🤦♂️Love this channel because of the car diversity. Glad to see some Lexus love. Nice video.
Wow you have the same taste as me! I'm about to get that highkick spoiler myself. As for the s4play style diffuser, the key is to remove those brackets that help mount the faux tips. Without them in the way, the diffuser should fit nice. I have had mine secured with 3M tape and 5 screws and it has held on for two years no issues so far. Looking forward to more content!
I got the same diffuser and I made it fit perfectly. I like it as it is less in your face with just enough aggression hint under the bumper. And it was cheap
Like the lights, however, I think the wing is a bit much and detracts from the ISF's understated style. However, you like it and that's all that matters!
You're a boring person, sounds like someone that likes to drive a boring looking car. That spoiler looks good and makes the car look sportier more aggressive.
I'd recommend that anyone doing this avoid using tape to seal existing mounting holes. I do recommend using the Dorman branded button plugs (or similar) and rubber butyl tape to seal existing holes. The butyl will stay pliable and will not dry out over time in the sun/heat like tape would.
@@anthony8487 this will specific to each application. I recommend using the backside of different sized drill bits until you find the one that is closest to the size of the hole and then try to find a body plug that is as close to that size. The rubber butyl tape should fill in any gaps. Hope this helps.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I really dont like those taillights... every riced out IS I see has em. And the factory tail lights are clean, simple, beautiful, and way better quality. I feel those tail lights cheapen the look of the car
Loving the spoiler. Goes well with the character of the car. VLand tail lights I believe they're called, as much as i like them, I'd still prefer the stock ISF lights. They looks good, are fairly modern and help keep the F apart from the regular IS'.
What I don’t understand is why you didn’t buy the isf diffuser. Yes it’s more expensive but I saw a carbon one and it looks great. I was looking at some for my 250
Such a tasteful looking car. I like the new additions. I wouldn't do a splitter. I think it would look weird for some reason. If you're open to suggestions, I would do some wheel spacers since the stock wheels still look good on the car and it would look even better for the wheels to be flush.
Nice. I recently got a 2008 ISF after a C63 and M3 and love it, I think it's the best of the bunch overall when considering everything as a DD. Looking forward to doing a full detail myself with paint correction and ceramic, and am looking at CF rear spoiler as mine is faded also.
VHB 3M tape is inherently strong like super strong it is what most every brand uses from the factory for many parts to not create holes at minimize them but you could always drill into this wing to secure it even more if you’d like. As an added benefit I would have used industrial grade silicone the stuff used to keep buildings together on the edges to help keep it planted also.
Looks cool. Considering these lexus cars retain quite a bit of their value and mechanically outlast most of their competition (bmw, audi, mercedes...etc) So it's kind of a no brainer to invest on some of these aftermarket accessories. Good job 👍👍👍
You could have actually bought carbon fiber stickers on the original spoilers so that you didnt have to remove them. they look so real and great quality
I HAD the same diffuser. Had to cut a set of teeth off each side to make it fit. It fit great after that because of those things that are on the ISF holding the exhaust tips or whatever, but it ended up falling off after 2 weeks lol
Or just soak the old 3m tape with a paint safe degreaser. After allowing the tape to soak for an hour or two, simply scrapes off easy with a plastic scraper. (Make sure to only soak the tape and do not spray the entire trunk with the paint safe degreaser - just in case)
Nice job, though I personally am not a fan of the look. I would have repainted/clear coated the original spoiler. For some reason spoilers always seem to fade first on cars like this. (My old Legacy GT had clear coat coming off as well). Ended up selling the car but otherwise would have probably tried wet sanding it myself.
I would have use lubricates like WD40 to spray and soaked on those old adhesives, that would easily make those adhesives come off cleanly and effortlessly.
It's just me I'm sure but love Lexus, love mine but anything that I see that a guy with a 250 does I would stay away from, just screams ricer, I think the isf should get more respect then that, the is250 is the civic of the Lexus world 🤷♂️
Looks good 👍🏻 I’m truly amazed at how much an exterior buff/wax and a new set of headlights and taillights can visually de-age a car.
I’m a simple man, I see “cheap eBay parts,” I click on the video.
Hamza Lodhi haha
XD
it going to fall off...
Love the subtleness man, always loved the ISF, don't see too many.
Heating up the tape and the surface right before you put it on helps it stick. You have to drill the real diffuser into the underside. I have the same one.
That actually looks really good man damn. Makes your car look 10 years newer. Good vid.
I feel like you could have cut the splitter and made it fit but oh well ISF looks great with these parts :)
I was thinking the same thing lol
Lo I.
Lo I. O
Ita supposed to go on the back window isnt it?

Video was great! Not a fan of the new tail lights, but I get it. Personally, I’d rather keep the OEM look. Especially on a IS F.
If I had a dollar for every time I see Lexus IS with those taillights I could buy myself an IS F
That’s why I went back to my stock taillights lol
You see them because they look good
It became stock lol
Because they look stock, it gives it an updated lexus look
I think they look soo much better
This is how you f up an isF. By using cheap stuff on a Lexus classic. Way to go!
Ay ?? Stfu tf you be driving ?
I'd recommend that anyone doing this avoid using tape to seal existing mounting holes. I do recommend using the Dorman branded button plugs (or similar) and rubber butyl tape to seal existing holes. The butyl will stay pliable and will not dry out over time in the sun/heat like tape would.
Is there a specific size that will fit these holes or just get a generic bundle pack ?
@@anthony8487 this will specific to each application. Nice, did they come with LED bulbs ready to go?
Yep. Just plug in and you're good to go
Wow, I love that look!! Glad I found your channel.
That diffuser for the top of the rear windshield
I would try to do it. Hahaha
This may be an unpopular opinion but I really dont like those taillights... every riced out IS I see has em. And the factory tail lights are clean, simple, beautiful, and way better quality. I feel those tail lights cheapen the look of the car
I agree!
100% agree with you on that . I hate vlands too. The original just looks timeless tbh
I too bought that “universal fit diffuser” and noticed that it also didnt fit. Its garbage. Check out S Factor Fabrication on IG for splitters
call me de'ville guess i just didnt purchase a universal fit car. Sure it looks great on your car though! 😆
tbh with you, I kinda like the previous Is tail light with those two vertical dots tail light.
Loving the spoiler. Goes well with the character of the car.
VLand tail lights I believe they're called, as much as i like them, I'd still prefer the stock ISF lights. They looks good, are fairly modern and help keep the F apart from the regular IS'.
I absolutely love the stock tailights and headlights, a very aggressive yet understated look
What I don’t understand is why you didn’t buy the isf diffuser. Yes it’s more expensive but I saw a carbon one and it looks great. I was looking at some for my 250

I bought the spoiler everyone buys off of eBay. I’ve never seen the one you bought...I may have to switch it out. I really like it!
Really appreciate this vid. Never realized how simple it is to change out the tail lights.
Love the lights. Not so much the wing It's a little tack.
I'm opposite, I like the wing.... Taillights...eh
Both combined look good
can you spray paint the carbon fibre spoiler or will the lines still appear?
you live in Cincinnati right? which car meetups do you go to?
I'll be at crestview hills cars and coffee today with the isf if you wanna stop by and say hi
You could also use a heat gun on the 3M tape residue and peel it off that way, doesn’t harm the paint either.
The tail lights are they fit perfectly without gaps?
Did you put protector strip on them to avoid getting water inside the tail light??
I have the same tail lights on my IS220D and I really like them. They make the car look much more modern, from the rear at least.
I'm almost positive that the defused doesn't work because it is meant to go at the top of the rear window right behind the antenna
Those lights looks amazing! 👌
It look great you did a great job. I have a 2007 Lexus is350 I plan on updating aswell thank for the motivation 👍
I too have the vland on my 07 IS 350, love the look, but hope the inner lights is a little brighter to match the outter lights, that will be great
Nice. I recently got a 2008 ISF after a C63 and M3 and love it, I think it's the best of the bunch overall when considering everything as a DD. Looking forward to doing a full detail myself with paint correction and ceramic, and am looking at CF rear spoiler as mine is faded also.
That wing is held down only by tape? Huh.... how long will that stay on? Especially in cold places like Minnesota?
VHB 3M tape is inherently strong like super strong it is what most every brand uses from the factory for many parts to not create holes at minimize them but you could always drill into this wing to secure it even more if you’d like. yeah those tails look a lot more modern love it!
The diffuser looks more like the sharkfin kinda thing for the top rear window if youd ask me where id fit it.
Are those diffuser not for the rear windshield?.
Looks cool. Considering these lexus cars retain quite a bit of their value and mechanically outlast most of their competition (bmw, audi, mercedes...etc) So it's kind of a no brainer to invest on some of these aftermarket accessories. Good job 👍👍👍
Nice work! Gives me some ideas for my IS350, like the lights for sure.
Vland headlights if you don’t have them already.
@@christianbaltazar6744 thanks for the tip, these really bring this car into 2020.
How is the quality of the wing?
You could have actually bought carbon fiber stickers on the original spoilers so that you didnt have to remove them. they look so real and great quality
I am surprised you did not put the wald spoiler. I like them a bit more. What about front lights? Are they going to be vland as well?
I used lamp oil for the adhesive. Let it sit them scrap it off with your nail.
Was that a roof splitter?
Looks perfect, can't wait for the diffuser
i have the same taillights on my 350. The really makes the car more modern
Do these taillights fit a 2013 ISF model? The amazon link is for a 2012 ISF.
I prefer HC motion tail lights over the first gen vland. The animation follows the current modern led light
where did you get the license plate frame?
I HAD the same diffuser. Had to cut a set of teeth off each side to make it fit. It fit great after that because of those things that are on the ISF holding the exhaust tips or whatever, but it ended up falling off after 2 weeks lol
I love Lexus for this 😍
what type of exhaust do you have
Those tail light look soo good
The way japan builds their japanese cars are insane. Noriyato drifts channel got some crazy lexus'
The tail light are fire, the wing, ok, too bad about the diffuser, sure you will find one soon.
Next time use tar remover to get the old 3m tape off
That rear diffuser comes in different sizes. you’ll have to measure the space then by the one that fits accordingly
Or just soak the old 3m tape with a paint safe degreaser. After allowing the tape to soak for an hour or two, simply scrapes off easy with a plastic scraper.
(Make sure to only soak the tape and do not spray the entire trunk with the paint safe degreaser - just in case)
Looks great 👍
Bro yall know where the them tools ....real tool guy
Wer can i become the Material and wats the name or article nommber
Pleas and thanks alot
The lights look sick
Checked in!

I dont have an ISF. Will Those Lights Work For The Is350 Models?
Yep, works on IS250, IS350 and ISF. Link in description.
Great car! and what's better yet, the name of your channel. :o)
looks sharp
What type of rims do you have? I've been looking for some for so long
2010+ wheels
Great video bro! Defo subscribed
Appreciate it!
Good job. Looks good 👍
Love the tails 👌🏼 always loved the original Is-f lip wing
I would have use lubricates like WD40 to spray and soaked on those old adhesives, that would easily make those adhesives come off cleanly and effortlessly.
That tape on the pre drilled holes under the spoiler won’t hold up to weather .. you should have used a small amount of body filler instead.
Looks great! I miss my old ISF, I had the same color smg
Nice to meet you ^^
That's cool. 👍😊
the lights are the bomb
Looks really good mate 👌
Lol the diffuser fits in the middle...you just make it look like it doesn't....
A proper diffuser will definitely wake the back up a little bit more
The tail lights are great
What year is it
2008 to 2014
I like the wing is really powerful 👍
Those lights looks 10× better
Looks great .
That wing is identical to my CLS w218 😂
Thats Fye My Boy
Wow, it does look nice
Good job bro
it looks great!!!!
You should have kept the old lights
very nice ISF, make sure you ceramic coat that wing or it will look horrible after a few months.
Just cut the diffuse to make it fit
Send that diffuser to me it will fit my is250 quite well
Bro just use a heat gun on low to remove the 3m tape 😂
The spoiler is eh but I like the taillights
It's just me I'm sure but love Lexus, love mine but anything that I see that a guy with a 250 does I would stay away from, just screams ricer, I think the isf should get more respect then that, the is250 is the civic of the Lexus world 🤷♂️
good job
ill have that zed in the back ground
