Currently at 141k miles on my 15 RC-F. Gets daily driven, used for detailing, track use, etc. All I've ever done was oil changes, tires, and brakes. Just upgraded LCA bushings to stop the inner tire wear issue and I'm about to swap out the struts and shocks. They aren't leaking, but I'm feeling then getting softer, which isnt ideal for fast cornering lol
Great car! Had one and got 27mpg highway. Damaged one rim one time and the factory 19x11 wheel was $1900! Only thing I really didn’t like about it was the gas range was only like 240 miles in a full tank - assuming you drive normal.
08 ultrasonic blue owner here, and man, I love this thing. Its funny when people ask if I swapped the motor when they hear that v8 (Currently have a full exhaust system).
They are great cars and underrated for sure, I have a 08 with 41,000km on it and love it, and they have 416hp not 401. The engines heads were done by Yamaha and has titanium inlet valves, a lot of technology in the 2URGSE. The console trim isn’t faux carbon it’s actually real weaved aluminum. And yes you can shift faster than the computer, sport mode with manual shifts in 0.01 of a second faster than in drive. I have a 2012 ISF....I put all the miles on it and it's still rock solid. They are very fast and the best part is they always turn on when you push start
Ive got ones of these and it will do 32 mpg on a long run. I had a 1998 toyota Camry before this and I have not noticed much of a difference in fuel economy between the 2 cars.

I have owned my ultrasonice blue isf for 8 years now. It is by far the longest i have ever owned any car. Main reason o kept it was becasue you really just dont see these anywhere. Friend has an 08 Escalade, 525,000 kms or 325,000 miles. Looks new. The 6.2 is bulletproof. People get super hyped over Lexus. But there are some other excellent rides out there.
At first I thought this video might be about a Crown Vic. You get a lot of car for the money with those and unlike a lot of Ford cars now they are pretty reliable. I'm kind of interested in the Lexus LC500 but the prices on those are really up there. I'm not sure that prices on those are going to come down much if at all.
I've done 5 road trips of around 2K miles each and I average 24.x mpg cruising at 80'ish (81-83) MPH. That's with some stomping of the gas to pass traffic. Stock except 275 squared on 18" wheels.
A 16 year old car with a comparable 60-130 as a 10 speed mustang while being a sedan, I don't think that's bad at all considering there multiple examples of the isf hitting well over 300,000 miles without major issues
Really for any car you should never skimp on tires. As they are the ONLY thing between the car, you and the road! Good tires also help in that ever important thing called "braking". You will stop in a shorter amount of distance with good tires. And that just might be the difference between having a wreck or not. But for any speeds over 120 MPH you do need special tires.
Wanted an ISF, but settled on an IS350. Im happy with it, some sways, rr poly bushings, ISF steering ecu, springs, some light 18s with cup 2s & I'll be even happier with it! 😁

@@lobuxracer to be honest, it’s never affected me because I drive so much I wear cars out before that period of time. But we have to remind ourselves there are plenty of people out there that can only afford 10 year old cars. And those people would never buy new TPMS sensors.
You said the v8 does 150 mph and there is lots left. The v6 does 140 mph and there is a lot left ! 140mph it’s running about 4500 rpm . This is the most capable car I’ve owned, or wanted. TIRES, TIRES, TIRES ! 100% what you said, the car is very capable but you have to have the tyres to get maximum, safe effects.
Compared to V8 powered cars nowadays it’s underpowered, especially for the price these things still go for. You won’t find a clean one under 20 grand unless it’s salvage, clapped out or super high mileage. And even then finding decent ones for the low 20s is a rarity. For the 20-30 even upwards of 40 grand you could spend on an ISF there’s just MANY better options out there depending on what the potential buyers are looking for. The only people buying these cars are people who know what they are and you REALLY gotta want em to pay the crazy used price on one.
😂 a scooter my V8 in my Chevy truck was pretty damn good pushing a plow through all weather pulling a skid steer and a finishing dozer. While hauling tools and a 110 gallon fuel tank. I put 360,000 trouble-free miles on it. Before I forgot to wash the undercarriage off and it rusted out.
Bought an 06 is250 AWD with 85,000 KM on it last fall. Since then I’ve replaced the water pump as it failed as well as the alternator. Replaced 2 of the spark plugs but not all of them as I think the other 4 are hard to get to. Replaced all fluids and have done regular frequent oil changes since buying. It’s now somewhere at 120,000km and I’ve loved driving the car it is a tank! I will say it does feel underpowered at higher speeds and the transmission does feel kind of slow granted it is an older car. Overall car is smooth has no problems dealing with the Canadian winter up here and is a sweet car to cruise around in! Anyone have any tips or suggestions for me please feel free to leave a response!
I prefer my S4 Cabriolet with the 4.2, DCT, AWD, but the IS F is decent. It's lighter than the 500 series I think. I like the Audi 4.2 better, you can balance a quarter on the manifold and rev it, the AWD is a bonus. Just make sure the timing guide rails were done every 100k.
I’m a big domestic guy, prefer GM V8s….BUT there’s something about the allure of the Lexus badge/reliability (perceived or otherwise) the fit/finish & the interior/exterior design of the RC-F & LC500 that has me wanting one…& I like that this a great sounding N/A V8 made by Yamaha as well. I may get one….esp an LC500, they’re way cheap now & I expect em to go up (I almost don’t even want to put it out there lol)
gs-f much better , and only 3200 made between '16 - 20 .. 2500 LHD and 700 RHD units .. my '16 is same engine but 477hp ,, exhaust done .. awesome sounding and no probs yet ,, it's done 63k miles .. ..
I'm torn between a new Is 350 F or Is 500, but the extra 12k sticker price, gas parts and insurance, and the fact dealerships around here don't have new Is 500s. They probably aren't going to make them anymore after a year or two. You aren't even 'allowed' to go that fast off a track anyways so idk what makes me want the V8 even though theres so many reasons not to

The first 8-speed automatic transmission 🔥
As Scotty has mentioned in the past, a sports car with manual transmission will be so fun to drive.
I've had my ISF for 3 year snow. Been waiting on you to talk about one....not those ISX50s.
Didn’t think you’d get an isf but really cool
😂 a scooter my V8 in my Chevy truck was pretty damn good pushing a plow through all weather pulling a skid steer and a finishing dozer. While hauling tools and a 110 gallon fuel tank.
I put 360,000 trouble-free miles on it. Before I forgot to wash the undercarriage off and it rusted out.
Toyota V8’s are the best V8’s in the world, no other V8 comes near them, in fact, Toyota engines maintained properly will go forever.
Yep I love my LC500 amazing
"...serious people making serious cars." 😮!!!!!
Toyota/Lexus are the best A to B cars - they are not fast but get you where you want to go for a long time!
Well theres plenty of really effin fast Lexuses
Plug in a throttle controller, just for more response with the pedal.
Nice!! I’m getting an RC F soon :)
That engine compartment 🤯😂
I have a first generation IS300!!!
No classic drag strip video?
My friend has a isf and he did wrap him self around a tree and lost his life I remember his car rip Abraham ❤
I'm looking at the GSF currently.
Split between this one for the cheaper price.
bought my q5 and loving it!
2500 LHD and 700 RHD units .. my '16 is same engine but 477hp ,, exhaust done .. awesome sounding and no probs yet ,, it's done 63k miles .. ..
@@mikeshane-m1z I forgot they even made that- cool!
2:55 the shadow of a basketballer falls on our hero.😂😂😂
I'm torn between a new Is 350 F or Is 500, but the extra 12k sticker price, gas parts and insurance, and the fact dealerships around here don't have new Is 500s. They probably aren't going to make them anymore after a year or two. You aren't even 'allowed' to go that fast off a track anyways so idk what makes me want the V8 even though theres so many reasons not to
