i think it’s the angle of your VLands. mine are insanely bright. i had the level of them adjusted and after that they’re some of the brightest headlights i’ve ever had. i love them
I thought the same thing about the light output until I adjusted them. It’s a must that you adjust them after install to get the best light output. I had to adjust mine down quite a bit if I remember correctly.
I have the exact same headlights, you have to adjust them before and after you install them. They’re calibrated badly from the factory. They’re VERY bright.
Bro idk what you're talking about with the vland headlights. I'm from Cali and I'm military currently stationed in the UK and bought a right hand drive spec 2IS when I got here a few years ago. England is 99% of the time cloudy, rainy, and it gets bitch black dark during the fall/winter at 3pm. These headlights SAVE ME all day and night! There are almost no streetlights in the UK even on highways (the government just doesn't see the need for streetlights when people have headlights is their logic). These headlights are pretty much a necessity for anyone with a 2IS in the UK. The light output is crystal white and I can see further than with the old, oxidized, crusty halogen yellow bulb projector headlights my pre-facelift car came with. Before buying the vlands I even tried scrubbing the factory lights and got rid of all the oxidation... still wasn't a comparison. With my high beams on in the dark I can see minimum 3 times further than with the factory pair. No joke, A LOT of people here who own a 2IS have the vland headlights. I'm not talking car enthusiasts either... I'm talking regular people with 0 other mods on their cars besides the headlights because they just want to see at night and vland runs a monopoly on the 2IS market. I even saw an elderly woman with the vlands on her car at the grocery store a few weeks ago LOL.
I visited Dorset not too long ago and even there I saw a is250 with these on, no way to tell if they were vland but the look is unmistakable they were pretty bright passing me on the countryside 😅
Decided to keep the front taillight stock and installed some LED but definitely changed the taillights to the VLAND, considering on switch to the HC motion ones tho
The thing with headlights and bulb type is a lot of buyers don’t factor in their eyesight as part of the equation. This is why car guys have mixed views about stock and Aftermarket headlights.
Vland tail lights look dope, but I dislike how they stick out so much compared to OEM. It does get a bit of a "Sid from Ice age" kinda look. That's why I'll keep my tinted stock ones. Headlights look 10/10 though! All the other mods you've got look bangin aswell 👌
I see that too from certain angles but I will say it adds another dimension to the car which in some ways I think makes it look more modern. But thanks for pointing that out I never noticed that!
Thanks for this video man. Im going to stick to stock headlights and my led foglights for now. Going to order the tail lights because they look so sick!
Christian! I couldn’t find your LED reflectors conversion for the rear. I want to buy them which I saw you included a link on one of your videos but what’s making me hesitant is the fact that you said the wiring is a bit difficult so I’d like to see that
Hey quick question! What wheels are those? I have an IS350 that’s white as well and I’m loving it😍 and also for tires are you 225in front and 255 in the rear?
Well not everyone modifies their car just to be different for being different sake, me and the majority of my friends modify our cars to improve the performance of the base package, handling, aero, engine performance...but the last thing we think of is being different. Thanks for all the info btw, nice build.
Did you have some maintenance issues with VLAND headlights? I have heard that it could be troublesome. I am split between XENON and VLAND headlights and don't know which one to buy
I have a pair of Vlands on my IS250 and I love them. I havent had any trouble with them at all and I installed them my self. I got the ones with the clear corners instead of the Amber one.
I got Vlands on my 2010 is350 and I love them, my only gripe is that I haven’t disabled the DRL and it’s an eye sore seeing the “check” mark DRL and also a bright single light near the corner of the check mark (where the old DRL would have been) I wouldn’t want to only disable them but have them turn on with the regular low beams
Man I have a question about the Vland headlights…. In regards to the daytime running light. Do you know how to disable the light bulb and just have the checc mark on if that’s possible ? Only because the light bulb on my day time running lights are flickering
Whew try modding the is2 convertible. I've gotten 2 out of 6 items which fit my car. Lexus kept the 2014-2015 is250 and 350 convertibles same as previous gen in comparison to the sedan. The is250 and 350 2014-2015 received new bumper and dash and radio setup (I wished Lexus would have implemented these upgrades with the convertible, but is what is. So I've ordered a aftermarket front bumper upgrade kit and I have thought about a dash and radio upgrade, but then again, I plan on keeping my is250c as my weekend luxury/sport convertible while acquiring a newer F Soort crossover/suv. One thing is certain, I will be buying Lexus for myself and my family.
I kept my OEM taillights on my 2013 350 the leds are much brighter the vlands taillights output is weaker imo but I do the vlands headlights tho much brighter than OEM
I was thinking of getting the VLand headlights, but I think that I’ll just keep the stock ones, and just upgrade the bulbs to LED’s after seeing this. I love the look, but living in the south I need better lighting quality. I think that I’m going to get the smoked VLand taillights though. The VLand tails look great on your car. Especially with that pearl vinyl wrap!😁
Is it possible to install a brighter LED bulb into the Vlands? Planning to cop them soon but I do a lot of country/backroad driving so the brighter the better lol
You have plugged vents in your rear bumper/trunk that’s allowing water to build up and get your amp wet which is why your music is stopping in the rain
@@mcmarquez8203 i had the stereo issue too, you have to seal where there are the rubber vent things in the sides of the trunk and replace it with a bunch of duct tape or something to patch it up

Also the exhaust.. if you got the money then get a full exhaust system i got the ark DT-S Exhaust and it sounds very good inside the car n out
Vlands are bright enough. Already brighter than halogens some HIDs. Any brighter you will annoy others on the road and Law enforcement.
They are brighter than stock headlights. You need to adjust them up. Find a DYI video on how to do it so you don't blind traffic.
I have those headlights and the lightning is so bad 😭 but they’re soo cool lol
So what are a couple options for headlights these days with good quality output and beam pattern ? Not just looks. High and low beam good.

need spacers or just wider wheels

Re-do the wrap and use knifeless tape to create inlays so you won't have so many fingers in the film from stretching around curves like that.
