Bought this system from Amazon last week, after heaving used a similar one at Physical Therapy for my knees and ankles. This is Da Bomb ! Works wonderfully and is quite a challenge !
Bought a wobble board after twisting my ankle - it is brilliant. Makes a big improvement to your balance. Started on two legs, no hands and then after a few weeks could do one leg without hands. I still use it regularly and can do two legs with eyes closed, but find one leg eyes closed pretty difficult. Love your videos - especially the one on exercises for sore Achilles tendon.
Hi Bob and Brad. Great video guys! When I went for pt for Patellar Femoral Syndrome last year they had me balance on a wobble board, 30 secs 3x in both vertical and horizontal positions with no rocking. Also , standing on one leg for 30 secs 3x. When I "graduated" 😀 I bought a wobble board for the house. I do these exercises 3x week as part of my exercise routines along with stretches. Thanks
I bought this not knowing that it was a wobble board and for rehab for ankles, knees and hips. Rather I thought it was for keeping fit. I'm glad I did buy it though because, my brother will shortly be going for a knee op. It'll be useful for him. Thank you for sharing this video and making the use of it very clear. Kind regards.
I'm buying this for rehab & re-injury prevention for my (very foolishly) ruptured calf muscle at age 56. Just wanted to learn if this brand is decent quality. You guys are exactly what I need right now! Subscribed! I'll be seeing you several times per week... likely for the rest of my life 💚👍
Great presentation. What are the names of the board that you are demonstrating on? Do I have to purchase both or one? If I am purchasing one which would you recommend ? I am in the late 60s. Thank you
I'm a zebra too - hEDS. Subluxed patella last November so I'm trying to strengthen the muscles, tendons and ligaments particularly in the lower body. I alsohave maltracking patellas, ante-rotated femur, Bertolotti's syndrome, hip impingement and my most hypermobile joints happen to be my ankles. Would love a wobble board but unsure if, like you, it would be unwise. I know it would certainly help my proprioception, balance and core but just watching him really working those ankles makes me wince... Too many ankle injuries to remember.
Hi Bob and Brad, I'm a PT and love this video. Where did you get these exercises from? Is there a poser of sorts that you can refer me to? I would love for people to be able to do these exercises without having to look this up on video. Thanks!
I'm confused what is the routine for phase one for both legs and the single leg I am not quite sure if the single leg you would do in phase 1 I can't tell from the video
Larger ball and smaller board will create more range of movement and increased difficulty. Two small balls on the large board offer a more limited range of motion which is the easiest.
Hey guys, I'm a skateboarder and after rolling my ankle awhile ago I've struggled trying to recover a full range of motion. Is there anything I can do to break up that scar tissue and regain full range of motion?
Ben Dover Here are some ideas for you: Look up videos on massage for scar tissue & do it (firmly yet gently) on your ankle. (Since your ankle is an area you can likely reach on your own.) Take supplement called MSM (methyl-sulfonyl-methane) a sulfur compound which is found in all cells of the body & gets rid of scar tissue. (As with vitamin C, you'll notice your tolerance level dose for it when you get the symptom of loose stools. Then lower the dose a bit until you don't get that symptom.) Apply Weleda Arnica Oil product & Palmetto Harmony Holy Cannescence (Cannabis CBD oil with frankinscence ("boswella"), legal/OTC in most US states & major countries. It's ridiculously amazing. Add mild BCAAs & collagen peptides to your stack or diet. Do gentle, increasing calf, hamstring, ankle & plantar stretches, either with a device (from Amazon, eBay etc) or at least a yoga strap, calf stretcher board or with your foot sole flat against a wall or hard straight chair back (look up how to stretch these muscles in this way). I also highly recommend a supplement called PQQ, to strengthen & grow more mitochondria in your cells (they're the tiny, core energy factories in our cells) Hope these help! All the best.
I’m not sure if you’re still struggling or not. But I’ve had a lot of success with dry cupping. I also broke down and purchased a multiaxial board this past week.
question ! for knee strengthening do you keep the legs straight or w/a slight bend? I heard knees shouldn't bend in front of feet (like in a squat the knees stay behind the feet to save the knee from strain)also, what do you think about surf balance boards to use at home for knees? lmk & thanks!
My partner has a spinal cord injury, and we just bought one of these for home! Do you know how he could possibly use it without canes? He can walk, but can't balance himself properly. He uses AFO braces. Could he use it sitting down? He's Asia D, and has foot drop, calf muscle atrophy, and a weak left hip flexor.
Anybody no if the CanDo accessories (spheres and weight plate inserts) are compatible with the Spectrum Baps Board? Essentially, I am trying to find out if they use the same size bolt and threading
Luke Murry keep making circles with ur ankle but don't do it too fast or make it too big IF it hurts. Also point ur toes down and up slowly without sharp pain and keep doing that. Make sure to walk a lot and also balance on one foot. Allowed me to walk again after a grade 3 ankle sprain in just 2 days.
Would this be good for someone with Lymphedema in their legs? Have them do this for 5 minutes first then laying exercises with their legs raised for another 5 minutes or so afterwards?
Nathan Purvis That may depend on why you have lymphedema. That's nothing to mess with or make guesses about, so I'd consult a highly qualified professional to ask that question. This is possibly good for the other condition, if it's currently under control & not recently aggravated/injured or inflamed? But if that same person also has the lymphedema, that should be fully consulted on & monitored closely with an individual analysis by a certified practioner first before doing anything imo. Maybe also look into certified lymphatic massage, such as Vodder technique. That could maybe help someone with lymphedema get cleared enough to be safe doing these exercises, depending on why they have it? I'm just guessing.
BETTY G Have you tried used ones on Craigslist etc, or at 2nd hand sports or rehab supply stores such as Play It Again Sports? Not sure if those places are authorized to sell physio therapy equipment, but I'm headed to their website shortly myself to dig around and find out who may have used ones for sale out there! Best to you on your journey.
The amount of people bob and Brad have helped must be huge. What great guys!

The wobble board can improve proprioception but it also can improve vestibular and visual sense in the case of proprioceptive dominance
nice, easy to understand and challenging-tried on my board while watching! thumbs up!

You guys are brilliant
really helpful for weak ankles
I bought this wobble board and use it daily to improve ankle mobility, strength, and balance, which are crucial for martial arts.
These products ROCK!

what is the difference between the wobble board and the bosu ball? personally i use the bosu ball but is there a difference?
Best device for balance disorder.
My problem is hypermobile ankles which cause me to fall and have led to knee injury. Not sure whether I should use the board

Does it help hallux valgus?
Is this okay to do if you've had a total hip replacement?
Hello I am in the late 60s and I am trying to regain my balance. Which these boards would be better for me?.Thanks
Can i use this for my instability w/MS, Drop foot

Is this safe to use if I have patellofemoral arthritis?
I'm confused what is the routine for phase one for both legs and the single leg I am not quite sure if the single leg you would do in phase 1 I can't tell from the video
Anyone work out with the BoBo Balance board with Bluetooth?
I see they sell three different diameter blue circle pieces. What is the benefit of a larger vs smaller board?
Larger ball and smaller board will create more range of movement and increased difficulty.

Is using a balance board good and safe for core strengthening have lumber surgery (discectomy 6+ months)? Which size is best: 16” or 20”?

Hello, this is another nice video and nice tips. Maybe you could stop recalling the broken heart. :)
What size is the large one?
Does anyone know the weight limit??
Great information 👍🏽

They have some cheap wobbel boards at 5 below
ask for donations !
Those balance boards are dangerous especially for people with low bone density prone to fragility fractures.
I am sorry to say Bob; but I thought I was bad at these boards, but you are even worse =P
FIRST!!
