The ideas you provided for modifying the vehicle are practical and innovative. Here is a summary of the steps that can be followed to implement these modifications: 1. **Adding a Water Tank:** - **50-liter tank:** Can be installed in place of the seats while keeping space for additional equipment. - **100-liter tank:** Will take up the entire seat area. 2. **Installing an Air Compressor and Lithium Battery:** - The air compressor can be installed next to the water tank (in the case of a 50-liter tank). - It is preferable to use a thin lithium battery and avoid installing it in the front to prevent malfunction due to heat. 3. **Using ARB Drawers:** - Make use of ARB drawers and avoid using a kitchen setup as it takes up storage space. 4. **Adding Lights Above the Tires:** - Install lights above the tires for better illumination when refilling the tires. 5. **Adding Lights on the Car Body:** - You can add lights to the car body, and I will send you more details via email if needed.
Going by that fuel filter location Toyota know this vehicle is going to be a pavement princess. For 4wd to have that in such a vulnerable area not just getting knocked but water and dust.
@@PerthDieselPerformance I bought a Sahara as they had a stock one & quoted a year delivery for the GR Sport. I had front & rear diff e-lockers installed. I've spent far too much modifying it so far but still not finished... :P
Great Vid. Just got my VX in June. First Land Cruiser but the mods are starting. Can I ask what aux battery did you install and can you share how the jump start feature works? Steve 🇦🇺
The Invicta Lithium Battery. Hybrid that is designed for under bonnet and cranking capabilities. The jump start is a momentary switch in cab when held down links the battery, good for jump starting and even winching!
Is prado not just a hilux wagon ? . I've owned a 60 ,80 105, 100 and 200 . A prado is not a land cruiser. It's a fantastic vehicle but it's no landcruiser
Arguably the Fortuner is now the Hilux Wagon. We have heaps of banter in the office here about the Prado not being a Landcruiser, though it is labelled as such from Toyota. It's certainly up for debate!
its funny how the die hard toyota buyers keep lining up, keep paying 60k more than its worth and toyota laugh at you, ive had 7 landcruisers and then after my 200 series, ordered a 300, then test drove a y62 and cancelled the 300 order--- time to move on people
You understand there is nothing wrong with liking something just because you like it yea? Your comment seems weird as. Just buy what you want people lol
I have a low km 105 series with front and rear factory lockers. It’s a tough, very reliable car that I can fix myself, the only downside being its thirst. I waited for the 300 as a possible replacement but no way can I justify the $125k change-over cost. I’d consider a GX but you can’t option it with diff locks. Now waiting for the new Y63.

More on the solid-state switching. Impressive brackets and utilisation of factory mounting options.
Done! Video coming soon!!

One of the things we do not like about the 300 Series. Would love to ask the engineers what was going through their heads with that one....
I wonder how well the new prado landcruiser is going to go. Would be an interesting to compare them both.
Agreed!! We like the look of them, keen to see it with our own eyes once it officially hits the market
I’ve had 3x 200 series and haven’t made the jump to a 300 yet. Your review and one by BAW don’t convince me that it’s better.
That's fair! Each to their own. As Trav has mentioned... currently his heart is still with the 200!! Time will tell if that changes.
I am in the position to buy either a 2018 LC 150 Prado or a 2013 LC 200. What would you suggest?
The Bonfire night was started by my mate who now the event celebrates…BTW..I’m still undecided on the 300 but have moved on from our Kimberley Kamper
That's good to know! Thanks Ashley
The GX is the best model for touring. Fit it with lockers and it's super.
Twin Locked > any fancy traction tech

Great car and great review
Thanks mate! Appreciate you watching
Great vid 👍
Thanks for watching!
Is that factory paint/colour?? Looks matt finish.
It’s wrapped
When is the LC 400 due? Anywhere from 2033-2035, or?
Likely around then, the 300 is still fresh and new, I can't imagine there even being any development from Toyota on it as of yet.

What’s the tire size?

Pay all that money and they still can’t seal an airbox. What a slap in the face to consumers with that much money to spend
We agree. We are working towards finding out why this is the case AGAIN.
you lost weight !!
It’s not worth 150k$ plus
Certainly a huge topic for debate there. And a common thought too.
Luxury Car Tax and stamp duty.
Ridiculous !

Totally agree, we test drove the 300, got 10 kms and took it back and then bought a y62.
