The Clark Sisters do riffs and runs. But I understand what your saying. Church use to be 4-5 hours every Sunday at least and then you had evening service. My mother told me about Shut-ins back in her time which were important for when you were having deep troubles in your life. You prayed to God all night long until sun up and whatever crisis you were in when you walked out of the shut-in session at the crack of dawn you feel that a breakthrough was coming in your favor. I'm a 1980s baby and I-

Sabrina Rochell I agree with you Sis but it's up to the Real leaders/God's appointed to take charge and be lead by the Holy Spirit. We will be held accountable if we're are simply putting on shows or doing what is popular. We must operate these ministries in a way that is pleasing to God or step down.

I'm 19 now, and my great grandmother (1922-1993), and my grandmother (1944-2005) work under Dr Mattie Moss Clark, when she was the minister of music of the international and national music department of the church of God in Christ. Her songs like; "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me", "salvation is free", and "I'm on my way to heaven to meet the king", always rings in my ears, to let me know that I'm a spiritual minister of music to show young people that these songs will give you strength, guidance, and power. God bless you Dr Clark (1924-1994)❤️❤️❤️

Treecey Is a potato head you apparently never met her bc she was never rude, even when she corrected! She had a standard and as a choir director expected it to be met. That’s why so manny people have a problem w order because they don’t want structure or discipline. In the choir you agree to sing so when she said help me that meant open your mouth and do what the director said to do

She was so accurate. Anointing can not flow in music unless the life through which it flows is rooted in the Source-Jesus. Whether Handel, Bach, Dr. Moss, Cliff Richard, each in his gift and territory praises Him and destroys every yoke.

Mama Clark was about singing with THE ANOINTING..Yes she was Gifted to play, sing and teach choirs..her FOCUS was to be ANOINTED. Thanks so much for sharing this clip..it features her Music Ministry (some may not know Dr. Clark was also a Licensed Missionary in the C.O.G.I.C.) and she was about HOLINESS. Trail blazer, powerfully anointed, musician, director, writer, teacher & preacher-the Lord used this woman to totally revitalize Gospel Music. What I learned from her just in rehearsal alone was enough to sustain my walk with the Lord down through the years. Who could break down the soprano, alto and tenor part like the one and only Dr. Clark. The anointing she carried came with a price-a lot of trials from within the church but she endured. We love u Dr Clark-your seed is representing well!

I tought she said "if Aretha ain't saved" then her singing doesn't mean anything. She knew all about what background Aretha came from. She was just using her as an example of what singing without holiness means.
