I'm 55 years old, Travis, and I know exactly how you feel. I miss those type of services as well. You are absolutely right, churches nowadays have gotten more about entertainment than worship, and as a Minister of Music, that bothers me. I'm constantly looking for songs from back in the day -- songs that my momma sang, my grandmother sang, my daddy and grand daddy sang. Folks giving testimonies, and and never been through a test (now I'm going to leave that alone. That's a whole other subject).

You have to forgive me '74 years old and i can still pick them up and lay them down. why? because i still listen to old school. it keeps me young in spirt.. like some of the new songs but give me my old school.

SHes very much alive....She gets me everytime with an old old old song that she'll sing outta nowhere she pushes me to learn the old hymns, congregational songs,& anthems.
