I read while ago the Braves called up Nacho Alvarez and signed Whit Merrifield. I have faith in AA he knows what he's doing...the next week will be interesting for sure. ⚾ It's definitely been a tough year for the Braves injury wise...and I think I even injured myself Saturday watching the Braves. 🙃
As for the bullpen, Matzek was already back throwing at 90 feet 3 weeks ago, and he said everything has felt fine, so he's probably not far off. Braves also have Daysbel Hernandez who has looked solid this year in both the minors and majors, Ken Giles is down in Gwinnett and looks solid with a very good 34.9% strikeout rate and 1.09 WHIP, even unknown Parker Dunshee might be an option with a 2.16 ERA, 2.29 FIP, and 3.49 xFIP along with a 30.0% strikeout rate and 1.08 WHIP since his promotion in 25 innings (even better numbers in Double A). Braves arguably have the best bullpen in the National League, and probably the 2nd best in the majors with a 2.98 ERA, 3.55 FIP, and 3.73 xFIP. If they look for any bullpen pieces, it better be All-Star caliber relievers.
I'm in it to win it 🏆 and so is AA. We have had some tuff luck with injuries. We all know AA can get it done. Snit on the other hand...I'm not so sure about. Should have had Ozuna batting 3 or 4 in the lineup for several months now. And an occasional splash of small ball would surprise everyone. CHOP ON!!!
Earlier today, Whit Merrifield injured in OF of Truist Park!! Another injury for the Braves and Merrifield just signed hours ago to replace Ozzie Albies. 😥
If Max Fried can't get healthy then the season is over. We don't need "depth" to replace him we have a ton of "depth" you would need a top of the rotation starter, and you are not getting that at the deadline without giving up pieces that are going to be very important to the '25-'26 Braves. With the struggling, injury depleted lineup you HAVE TO HAVE Fried, Sale and Lopez healthy and ready to go to even stand a chance in October. You may not even make the playoffs if one or more of those guys goes down. We're treading water as is. You have to get the bats to do what you can to shore up the line-up. You pray to God Fried comes back healthy, and that Lopez and Sale stay healthy. If not there's nothing that could have been done. It was just an INCREDIBLY unlucky season where you lost just an unbelievably unlikely number of critical players. That kind of stuff happens. It can happen to any team. If the Dodgers or Phillies lost half their lineup and their best 2 starters they would be in the same boat.
That’s a very defeatist way of thinking. Get in through the WC. AA will make significant moves. Max will return, Mike will return and so will Ozzie. Can’t throw in the towel
AJSS couldnt make it to 70 pitches before barely hitting 92 on the gun. Down from 97 in the 1st inning. Hes not ready yet. We dont have the farm system to pull off big trades this season. I hope we add but nothing that depletes our system drastically.
Bottom line is if you’re not eating nachos for dinner tonight what are you doing? But nah seriously this season just can’t catch any breaks. I have faith in AA because of that 2021 deadline but he’s gonna have to be doing some magic. Yes I’ve always liked jazz and wanted him as a brave but I’m not feeling him this season. Rather just try with Brent rooker but whoever it is I’ll still be rooting for them like they been a lifelong brave
This is like the Phillies losing, Acuna, 2 best starters 2nd baseman I don’t see Atl winning best players on the DL. Wrong is started with Murphy opening day it just got worse
No Jarred Kelenic hasn't spent any time on the injured list, nor has he been hurt at all this year. I'm not sure why you keep saying that Tyler? He hasn't missed any more than 3 days in a row without play, and that is due to him being a platoon player at the beginning of the the year with Duvall.
@@IanHaney24 His wrist was only sore and he sat out just 2 games, 1 game in which a left handed pitcher started, so they thought it was the perfect time to get Brian Anderson a start with Kelenic slightly tweaking his wrist and a left handed starter starting the game. That's it, like I stated before, he's never been out for any more then 3 days in a row.
@@MassBoost the point was he had ran into injuries that caused absences. Not that he was technically on the injured list. Either way, injuries are a problem.
Why wouldn’t Alex at Braves go for Sox crochet ?..Braves are known to be tight and cheap buying overaged pitchers why not even looking for a add on at closer spot or a starter which they need 2 starters now…Alex recent junk trades as Ozzie bust his arm and 35 yr old Merrifield was added as was nacho alverez which is the best ss or second baseman to get as Braves are hurt so is Alex ANTHOPOLOUS mindset on what to do with this years situation…expect fans to dwindle at stadium less and less as the basic fundamentals of the snit game of hopes of the LONGBALL ever situation on the field is all snit knows…snit may need to take a page out of previous brave player VOGT at Cleveland!

Love my Braves no matter what happens, Go Braves!
Should be interesting to see what the Braves do at the trade deadline

Yeah, I’ve been saying that for weeks that they need to get Brent Brooker
and Mason Miller
I think we need starting pitching, outfielders and maybe infielder with Albies injury depending on how Merrifield plays
Braves will have both Merrifield and Nacho Alvarez who has been called up.

I don’t think any significant trade should be done. Too many important pieces are gone now that cannot be replaced. Just have to wait for next year.

Nacho starting 2nd baseman tonight batting 2nd.think fried is out at least a month
I think they’ll be buying but only for players that make sense for the next few seasons

James Paxton was designated for assignment by the dodgers today. Given his stats, you think Braves could pick him up?
That one caught my eye too... I think it's possible, yes. If nothing else, he could help bridge the gap to Fried's return.
add 1 more injury to the list- Merrifield

Whit Marrifield. 🤦🏼♂️
Well now Witt is day to day with a finger injury lol. I think the Braves are cursed
Tyler, why don’t we go get him? We go get Britt Booker from the age to get Mason Miller.
