So what would you charge per building? Say a McDonald's. And what about a hotel? Do you price per square foot? Would 1,200-1,500 per let's say McDonald's be okay?
Love the idea to wash some of my local restaurants...but what should I charge? I charge 0.22 a square ft on residential jobs. There's restaurants around town that are full buildings with wrap around sidewalks like in your video. There's also restaurants that are in plazas so there's only the store front/ back dumpster pad and small sidewalk in front. What would be a fair price for either job?
Bro you could be charging much more for residential. I charge .40 for residential and .28 for commercial. If it is heavily stained or scattered debris I come up with a price between .50-.80 on the spot depending on severity.
A good quote is whatever you feel like a good quote is when it comes to pressure washing you should have a minimum on time. I charge $169 for the first hour and then $89 every additional hour but depending on where you live and what your overhead and everything is determined by you. You have to be able to look at a job and tell how long it will take some people do it by square footage some people do it by building size.
What degreaser do you use to clean up the areas? Do you have to worry about reclaiming the water as fast food drive through prob have lots of oil stains? Thank you in advance for all your help
When I did landscaping, the only chemical we used was a 50% diluted chlorine. In the event that we had oil stains, typically on driveways though, from motor oil, the best way we found to get rid of them was a torch. Just burn the substance off. Works pretty well. No chemicals to worry about and the job turns out great. I'm sure these guys use some kind of chemicals, but there are a number of bio friendly degreasers you can use, and there would be no need to reclaim the water. Typically the chemicals used during pressure washing jobs are selected because of minimal impact on the environment.
