"A marxist critique of honey labor"
What a time to be alive.
Right?! We’ve got it too good
what a time to bee alive
As the top specialist on Marxist stupidity I can say
Socialism and Capitalism are identical in respect to Wealth and Power distribution among the demos (the human population).
1) Both systems have Extreme levels of Wealth concentration. (Capitalism concentrates it through the market, Socialism concentrates it through the Power of the Law).
2) Both systems have Extreme concentration of Power ( Capitalism concentrates Power by purchasing it with the Extremely Concentrated Wealth, Socialism concentrates Power by promoting 'Loyalty' over 'Merit' when climbing the political ladder.)
@@reasonerenlightened2456 I don't remember the loyalty and merit bit in Marx' books? Care to tell which book and page that's from?
@@gabrielegenota1480 Excellent question. Marx was mind-blinded about the fact that The entire Marxist solution is based on the implied assumption that some political system of hierarchical Power will be righteous, just and altruistic. ( Marx forgot that the human nature is not to give up power and wealth without a fight.)
Oh yeah that movie about beestiality

When there is abundance of honey and monopoly on its production then the bees can control the economic and political system of the entire country.
Conveniently they limited the bees to only desiring to make more honey.
(The way to do it is to pollinate only places who's owners agree to sell shares to the bees)
You see this is exactly the kind of moral I'd expect in a animated movie staring jerry Seinfeld
“Your exploitatation is good and natural actually.
10/10 on that seamless transition into the ad. Great way to finish a video about capitalism. Keep up the good work Wisecrack.
So you're saying the movie that was produced, written by and starring an absurdly wealthy comedian puts forth the idea that fulfilling selfish desires has a secondary effect of improving life for everyone? Funny that, huh?
Funny thing is that the best systems in the world right now, the ones Scandinavia use, function in a similar way, using the drive for personal improvement to create an economic system that benefits everyone.
Alexander Greyling is it? We’re spiraling towards ecological disaster with no change in sight because rich, powerful people keep on pursuing their own personal gain.
That's because the superpowers like USA and China are far more capitalistic, they see profit as being the goal. The Scandinavian nations, on the other hand, see ecology as important not just as a matter of preservation and health, but also economical in the sense of this is the new industrial revolution: green energy. The big problem is that these nations can be as green as they want, they will still be out-poluted by bigger nations like the USA
except that Scandinavian oil and mining companies operate in countries like my own (Brazil) and commit various environmental crimes without any sanctions from their homecountries (search from the clandestine pipeline in Barbacena by the norwegian company Hydro). The Scandinavian system is merely exporting misery
If thats true than that's shit, although I suspect it has to do more with Brazilian law than Scandinavian law. Unless these companies are owned by the state, they can do what they want.

What Bee Movie doesn't understand is that people don't just stop doing things when people have what they need.
Tinker, read, write, draw, paint, exercise, volunteer, garden, visit.
If having everything without having to work is such a terrible thing then we should collectively save the rich. "Those poor rich people, they must feel sooo purposeless and bored." We must allow the rich to work feverishly and have nothing to show for it... just like the rest of us.
Yeah, the idea that people need to struggle to not be bored is kind of silly.
Are you trying to make the argument that if everyone had exactly what they needed to survive and everything you needed was plentiful, that everyone would still show up to work the next day? That's faulty thinking, but ok
Where does all that surplus honey come from anyway if the bees don't work?
It sort of assumes that bees are a cultivated slave culture whose only purpose is building a honey-based economy. But even if this were the case, the bees could still export that honey under a collectivist system to purchase luxuries and free time to pursue their goals.
But maybe that's the point of the ending? A roundabout way of the bees figuring out that they have to do something other than produce honey to be fulfilled, ergo they pursue pollination, legal protections, and establish syndicalist organizational systems to control the distribution of their communal good? Which is why humans aren't a factor in the bees' resolution of their predicament, it's the bees defining their economic system themselves.
Or something like that.

I always felt like this movie was smart. I dont know why many make fun of it. It shows perfectly how many young people feel when they are thrusted into society and realise how worthless they are in the grand scale. I personally connected with it alot
The reason people make fun of it is because the bee is dating the human
@@thepotatoportal69that’s not even what happened in the movie… people say that because of a popular Tumblr post from like 2013/2014 saying that as well and claiming the movie was “so weird”

Wisecrack referencing memes in the title? This is why I love this channel!
Yeah it's wierd that 99% people here didn't mention about meme title.
I felt like it was more an analysis about the movie then about the meme. I don't think the meme mattered at all.
Iris, it's just a tad referential to the "Bee movie but every time X occurs, Y happens" meme format. I definitely think it was intentional.

"bee approved honey" lmao, they predicted "happy chicken eggs"
I haven't seen bee movie but now I don't think I even need to. Great job. Your segue into the ad at the end was so fluid and natural it completely caught me off guard, well done
It's interesting to note that the entire concept for the second portion of the film rests on the idea that the bees can literally not find anything else to do when they no longer are forced to produce honey. Interesting but not applicable to humans, who have global-scale diversity in terms of aspirations and labor they enjoy that can be pursued once they are no longer consigned to wage labor borne out of compulsion and necessity.
Thank you Wisecrack... See, a while ago I was really high and I watched The Bee Movie with hopes of laughing at some lazy and stupid bee puns. But as I rewatched it, I realized that it was all about capitalism and I incessantly rambled on and on about it almost the whole movie. Everyone called me crazy at the time and just wrote it off as me being really really high, but now I can show them this video and finally have my Bee Movie argument validated. (I understand that this video is kind of old at the time of this comment, but I’m just now seeing it because I got behind on this channel’s content a while ago, and I’m finally catching up on all the Wisecrack Editions)
Woah, wisecrack has the best writers in youtube! Your essays are amazing. Keep it up ad congrats!
I can't BEE-lieved!! Wisecrack is Analysing memes now. Can't wait for the morality of Harambe, keep making good work.

I would love a video about the morality of Harambe. The Harambe meme was a hysterical critique of slacktivism. Could make a legit episode.
Wow! That transition to the ad was perfect! Please keep this method, I even got more motivated to subscribe.
*Moral of the Story (kind of... maybe... I don't f**#cking** know):* Be careful how you manage your economy. If you come across a sudden, massive surplus, carefully store and distribute it to prevent hyperinflation and the sudden death of applicable industries vital to many workers with few other options.
This was GOLD! You, Wisecrack, is the best thing that ever happened to UA-cam. Congratulations for the unique content and the constant evolution of it.
What about the Earthling Cinema? Is this season over?
Not only are your videos entertaining and informative, but you do the best job I've seen of weaving in the sponsors to your videos.

You guys did it again! Made a great video about socio economic concepts from an inane movie! This is why I love this channel!
The socio-economic message in the movie is pretty blatant. Evil beekeepers joking about taking the honey from exploited bees. "Workers who share in the fruits of their labour will fall into decedence".
If you want inane you should watch "Bernard and Friends" on Netflix.
I was introduced to the movie in my geography class as a way to teach us about economic sectors
Dude this is my favorite video you guys have every made.
Nice video as always. Got another one for you, if you guys are up for it- Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans. I think the dub of the second-season finale is coming out on Toonami soon so it would be a timely episode, and I quite like the series. It seems like it really has a lot more going on in the brains department than most of the Gundam serieses I've seen, or at least a more solid and relatable emotional core to tie it all back to, even if two of the three main female characters spend their down time mooning over the (in this case pretty literally) emotionally hamstrung protagonist. I guess what I'm saying is that the emotion/motivation/politics side of most Gundam series kinda flies over my head in a blur of complexity and nuance or slams me in the face with a brick wall of exposition or flashback, but in this it feels fairly vital and important, while still mostly straightforward enough to understand, so I'd like to hear what people with more background than me might be able to pull out of it about what it's got going on under the hood.
The "Bee Approved" line hints at an economic structure in which the workers (in this case bees) control the means of (honey) production, which is a fundamental tenet of Socialism.
I'm gonna be honest. I was watching a completionist run of the Bee Movie Game, and there were some authoritarian and capitalist undertones, especially in the elevator in the hive where the announcements reminded me of Brave New World. So I thought maybe I could do a video on the sociopolitical philosophy of the Bee Movie and the game, and then I found this video, and it already confirmed what I thought about doing, so.
There goes that idea. I suppose I could make a more in depth video, focusing on the game rather than the movie. Or maybe a full video essay.
WOW.....I never thought I'd be interested in Bee Movie but you guys made me curious so now I'll check it out.
Honestly, I had felt like this movie wad already examined and turned over so many times already that I didn't think there were any more ways to look at it. Amazing take! Also, Jared can you narrate my life? I work an office job and I feel like it would be more exciting that way.

man those bridges to the add's are pretty brilliant
This channel is amazing. Continue the great work!
The problem of this as an analogy for real life is that it assumes that it uses bees and their production of honey as a metaphor for the working class and their work. Bees are literally biologically designed to produce honey, whereas to say the same of humans and their labour would be a stretch at best. If this were a more faithful representation, the bees would not become hideously lazy, but would find new occupations, return to education or devote themselves to non-professional pursuits such as hobbies or passion projects. Through that, bee society would be enriched as the general population would be happier, more educated and less likely to be in poverty. Essentially, the individual would have the choice of what to do with their lives, which is a more accurate fulfilment of the "individual vice leads to the betterment of all" idea. The predicament with the plants dying would be a non-issue, as the bees who desired the role of pollinator (so to speak) would be sufficient to maintain the planet at a sensible, sustainable level (with the previous status quo of capitalism being a ridiculous surplus).
Finnaly , someone said it.
Beautiful analysis. Thank you
Enough to make a grown man cry
Yes.
I actually don't agree at all. So I am going to try and explain why (and not try to be rude, I just want to share a new perspective):
The problem is that hobbies don't make money. Being a professional artist, cook or whatever hobby-turned-profession does earn money. If you are smart and lucky enough you can turn your passion into a career that can benefit other humans and also be fulfilling to you. And yes, most people are only motivated by money ( or honey in the movie). A cashier is a necessary job for the rest of the humans. They don't love the job, you can't really say that they are motivated by their passion. It's the money that they need from the job that keeps them there (at least until they find another job that can fulfill them in a way). And, right now, it's a pretty important job. Sure, they don't save lives, but you would notice their absence. Most people work to live, others live to work and that's only a matter of abilities, of what you have to offer. I personally know a shit ton of people that wouldn't work a day more if they would have a home paid by their state. The problem doesn't come when you are talking about good, productive people that just need a bit of financial help to make their dreams come true, those are the people that live to work, they would work no matter what. There's a problem with the people that work to live, that have no choice (cashers, accountants, secretaries, etc.). Those people would leave their work place right there and then. I know I would. But we need those jobs, we need those people. The only way I could see your plan working is the future when all these things can be automatic and made by robots. Although, to be honest, how many people do you think are going to become inventors and artists out of all those cashiers? You need to contribute with something in this society. Yes, the problems are there, and believe me, I am an aspiring artist from a now almost middle class (was poor) family. I don't have money for all the supplies I need, a bit of help would really benefit me, but it just wouldn't benefit everybody. So if you look at it this way, socialism (marxism) is more selfish than capitalism. What is more selfish, to what to keep the money you earned or to what more money from the state so you can pursue your hobbies and stay home more? The truth it, both these systems have their flaws and the correct answer is always going to be somewhere in the middle. Just like the movie said.
i would suggest that film admires workers-owners - man that create commodities with their labor and own them afterwards to do whatever they want. and it criticises both alienation situations, when they don't own fruits of their labor and when they aren't working at all. its literally a pro-petite borguesie propaganda
Don't forget Coase analysis. High transaction costs enable the largest corporations, but also offer huge profits to the first person who can offer a product at lower cost.
Put another way: people want the shortest line in the grocery store, all other things held equal.
proof of the quality of wiecrack they can make a very enjoyable and interesting video out of a movie i personally thought was kind of neither, or very in very small way
Wow, never would've thought that there is so much depth in the fucking Bee Movie! How did I miss the Atlas Shrugged reference for example?
Also, your pun game was top notch. "Cross-species pollination," nice! ;)
Hey Jared, what happened to 8-bit philosophy series?
Miša Luković I miss this one
Not enough people really cared for it so they kinda stopped, I guess. It takes money to make them and a lot of time and effort to animate them. I don't mind them stopping it personally bc it seemed pointless and boring aside from the nice effort into making it and the accompanying aesthetic.
Whiistling Winds It's ok if you found them boring, but they have as much of a point as any other video pertaining to philosophy on this channel. Their video on Hannah Arendt was my first introduction to her ideas, and I'm sure many others had the same experience. It's honestly the same as this video introducing the ideas of Mandeville, just through a different format.
This is pretty much the same thing, but not in 8 bit aesthetic
it was too much extra work with no pay-off. why do all that animation when you can just do something simpler and cheaper that still gets around the same amount of views
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little. Barry! Breakfast is ready! Coming! Hang on a second. Hello? - Barry? - Adam? - Can you believe this is happening? - I can't. I'll pick you up. Looking sharp. Use the stairs. Your father paid good money for those. Sorry. I'm excited. Here's the graduate. We're very proud of you, son. A perfect report card, all B's. Very proud. Ma! I got a thing going here. - You got lint on your fuzz. - Ow! That's me! - Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000. - Bye! Barry, I told you, stop flying in the house! - Hey, Adam. - Hey, Barry. - Is that fuzz gel? - A little. Special day, graduation. Never thought I'd make it. Three days grade school, three days high school. Those were awkward. Three days college. I'm glad I took a day and hitchhiked around the hive. You did come back different. - Hi, Barry. - Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good. - Hear about Frankie? - Yeah. - You going to the funeral? - No, I'm not going. Everybody knows, sting someone, you die. Don't waste it on a squirrel. Such a hothead. I guess he could have just gotten out of the way. I love this incorporating an amusement park into our day. That's why we don't need vacations. Boy, quite a bit of pomp... under the circumstances. - Well, Adam, today we are men. - We are! - Bee-men. - Amen! Hallelujah! Students, faculty, distinguished bees, please welcome Dean Buzzwell. Welcome, New Hive Oity graduating class of... ...9:15. That concludes our ceremonies. And begins your career at Honex Industries! Will we pick ourjob today? I heard it's just orientation. Heads up! Here we go. Keep your hands and antennas inside the tram at all times. - Wonder what it'll be like? - A little scary. Welcome to Honex, a division of Honesco and a part of the Hexagon Group. This is it! Wow. Wow. We know that you, as a bee, have worked your whole life to get to the point where you can work for your whole life. Honey begins when our valiant Pollen Jocks bring the nectar to the hive. Our top-secret formula is automatically color-corrected, scent-adjusted and bubble-contoured into this soothing sweet syrup with its distinctive golden glow you know as... Honey! - That girl was hot. - She's my cousin! - She is? - Yes, we're all cousins. - Right. You're right. - At Honex, we constantly strive to improve every aspect of bee existence. These bees are stress-testing a new helmet technology. - What do you think he makes? - Not enough. Here we have our latest advancement, the Krelman. - What does that do? - Oatches that little strand of honey that hangs after you pour it. Saves us millions. Oan anyone work on the Krelman? Of course. Most bee jobs are small ones. But bees know that every small job, if it's done well, means a lot. But choose carefully because you'll stay in the job you pick for the rest of your life. The same job the rest of your life? I didn't know that. What's the difference? You'll be happy to know that bees, as a species, haven't had one day off in 27 million years. So you'll just work us to death? We'll sure try. Wow! That blew my mind! "What's the difference?" How can you say that? One job forever? That's an insane choice to have to make. I'm relieved. Now we only have to make one decision in life. But, Adam, how could they never have told us that? Why would you question anything? We're bees. We're the most perfectly functioning society on Earth. You ever think maybe things work a little too well here? Like what? Give me one example. I don't know. But you know what I'm talking about. Please clear the gate. Royal Nectar Force on approach. Wait a second. Oheck it out. - Hey, those are Pollen Jocks! - Wow. I've never seen them this close. They know what it's like outside the hive. Yeah, but some don't come back. - Hey, Jocks! - Hi, Jocks! You guys did great! You're monsters! You're sky freaks! I love it! I love it! - I wonder where they were. - I don't know. Their day's not planned. Outside the hive, flying who knows where, doing who knows what. You can'tjust decide to be a Pollen Jock. You have to be bred for that. Right. Look. That's more pollen than you and I will see in a lifetime. It's just a status symbol. Bees make too much of it. Perhaps. Unless you're wearing it and the ladies see you wearing it. Those ladies? Aren't they our cousins too? Distant. Distant. Look at these two. - Oouple of Hive Harrys. - Let's have fun with them. It must be dangerous being a Pollen Jock. Yeah. Once a bear pinned me against a mushroom! He had a paw on my throat, and with the other, he was slapping me! - Oh, my! - I never thought I'd knock him out. What were you doing during this? Trying to alert the authorities. I can autograph that. A little gusty out there today, wasn't it, comrades? Yeah. Gusty. We're hitting a sunflower patch six miles from here tomorrow. - Six miles, huh? - Barry! A puddle jump for us, but maybe you're not up for it. - Maybe I am. - You are not! We're going 0900 at J-Gate. What do you think, buzzy-boy? Are you bee enough? I might be. It all depends on what 0900 means. Hey, Honex! Dad, you surprised me. You decide what you're interested in? - Well, there's a lot of choices. - But you only get one. Do you ever get bored doing the same job every day? Son, let me tell you about stirring. You grab that stick, and you just move it around, and you stir it around. You get yourself into a rhythm. It's a beautiful thing. You know, Dad, the more I think about it, maybe the honey field just isn't right for me. You were thinking of what, making balloon animals? That's a bad job for a guy with a stinger. Janet, your son's not sure he wants to go into honey! - Barry, you are so funny sometimes. - I'm not trying to be funny. You're not funny! You're going into honey. Our son, the stirrer! - You're gonna be a stirrer? - No one's listening to me! Wait till you see the sticks I have. I could say anything right now. I'm gonna get an ant tattoo! Let's open some honey and celebrate! Maybe I'll pierce my thorax. Shave my antennae. Shack up with a grasshopper. Get a gold tooth and call everybody "dawg"! I'm so proud. - We're starting work today! - Today's the day. Come on! All the good jobs will be gone. Yeah, right. Pollen counting, stunt bee, pouring, stirrer, front desk, hair removal... - Is it still available? - Hang on. Two left! One of them's yours! Congratulations! Step to the side. - What'd you get? - Picking crud out. Stellar! Wow! Couple of newbies? Yes, sir! Our first day! We are ready! Make your choice. - You want to go first? - No, you go. Oh, my. What's available? Restroom attendant's open, not for the reason you think. - Any chance of getting the Krelman? - Sure, you're on. I'm sorry, the Krelman just closed out. Wax monkey's always open. The Krelman opened up again. What happened? A bee died. Makes an opening. See? He's dead. Another dead one. Deady. Deadified. Two more dead. Dead from the neck up. Dead from the neck down. That's life! Oh, this is so hard! Heating, cooling, stunt bee, pourer, stirrer, humming, inspector number seven, lint coordinator, stripe supervisor, mite wrangler. Barry, what do you think I should... Barry? Barry! All right, we've got the sunflower patch in quadrant nine... What happened to you? Where are you? - I'm going out. - Out? Out where? - Out there. - Oh, no! I have to, before I go to work for the rest of my life. You're gonna die! You're crazy! Hello? Another call coming in. If anyone's feeling brave, there's a Korean deli on 83rd that gets their roses today. Hey, guys. - Look at that. - Isn't that the kid we saw yesterday? Hold it, son, flight deck's restricted. It's OK, Lou. We're gonna take him up. Really? Feeling lucky, are you? Sign here, here. Just initial that. - Thank you. - OK. You got a rain advisory today, and as you all know, bees cannot fly in rain. So be careful. As always, watch your brooms, hockey sticks, dogs, birds, bears and bats. Also, I got a couple of reports of root beer being poured on us. Murphy's in a home because of it, babbling like a cicada! - That's awful. - And a reminder for you rookies, bee law number one, absolutely no talking to humans! All right, launch positions! Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz! Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz! Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz! Black and yellow! Hello! You ready for this, hot shot? Yeah. Yeah, bring it on. Wind, check. - Antennae, check. - Nectar pack, check. - Wings, check. - Stinger, check. Scared out of my shorts, check. OK, ladies, let's move it out! Pound those petunias, you striped stem-suckers! All of you, drain those flowers! Wow! I'm out! I can't believe I'm out! So blue. I feel so fast and free! Box kite! Wow! Flowers! This is Blue Leader. We have roses visual. Bring it around 30 degrees and hold. Roses! 30 degrees, roger. Bringing it around. Stand to the side, kid. It's got a bit of a kick. That is one nectar collector! - Ever see pollination up close? - No, sir. I pick up some pollen here, sprinkle it over here. Maybe a dash over there, a pinch on that one. See that? It's a little bit of magic. That's amazing. Why do we do that? That's pollen power. More pollen, more flowers, more nectar, more honey for us. Oool. I'm picking up a lot of bright yellow. Oould be daisies. Don't we need those? Oopy that visual. Wait. One of these flowers seems to be on the move. Say again? You're reporting a moving flower? Affirmative. That was on the line! This is the coolest. What is it? I don't know, but I'm loving this color. It smells good. Not like a flower, but I like it. Yeah, fuzzy. Chemical-y. Careful, guys. It's a little grabby. My sweet lord of bees! Candy-brain, get off there! Problem! - Guys! - This could be bad. Affirmative. Very close. Gonna hurt.
(I'd post the whole thing but my phone would prob crash)
BattleUp Saber your effort is appreciated by a random internet nerd. Enjoy
Love the effort, but all you capital Cs have become capital Os. Should be easily fixable though
sorry for interrupting you, but in recent years it was discovered that this fact about bees being to heavy and not aerodynamic enough was corrected. just to let you know. i know, it was a romantic thing to use in a motivational speech, but again...science just self-corrects itself most often than not. have a nice day!
Were you high when you posted this?
Smooth segueway into the promotion there at the end. Real smooth.
10:20 Oh, that has to be one of the smoothest segues you guys have ever done. ;)
See the film falls apart as a critique of communism on two marks. One, it works under the assumption that the stand in for the workers, the bees, can only perform the one task, the one job, and without it their lives are meaningless. Two, it's use of the need of bees to do that one job only works in the context of a bee based story as humans are not born//built with a specific purpose in an economy that if we don't do it nature itself collapses.
Just wanted to point that out, not that we should really be taking economic hints from a movie about animated bees trying to fuck animated humans.
If anything the work we do does more harm to the planet and personlly if something gave my life that much meaning I'd still be motivated to do it even without an obvious need to do it.
But there are things that only humans can and probably should do out of all life forms on earth like monitering for ateroids or other natural disasters medical research whichcan benifit all animals.

i don't have anything sensible to add but this made me lol
well it depends have someone hat has work the same job for 20 years or more and this can bee the reality. even thought when people are young they see that as an impossibility. second the main critique is not the one job even the bees had different jobs in that one industry,
@Marlonyo I dont think she was saying everybody had did the same thing but that they each had one job for life and the industry as you put it was vital work.
Besides. Is not like bees counld't continue to make honey and trade their surplus for goods and services they do not have.
This movie is Seinfeld's attempt at making a movie with puns in every line. I like it.
that smooth ad transitions
Love Wisecrack's videos.
This kind of drones on...
was that a joke
That's the buzz.
it had me until like 6 minutes
Philosophy on economic social structure and the ethics thereof tends to bore people uninterested in solutions for society.
Please report to maintenance.Your sense of humor is busted.
Ahahaha, that segue-way into the sponsors
I can't 🐝lieve how good this video is!
Hey Wisecrack, about that system of selfish vices leading to public advancement and benefit, it actually has a name: *Egotistical Altruism*
Kurzgesagt did a video on it months ago, but coming back to this video helped me comprehend more. Great job as always.
The women bees have beehive hairstyles and the men bees have buzz cuts
Missed the chance to call it a "quick bee-cap" instead of recap
Wow. Jared I love how you analyse movies. And share ads😏
nice segway into that add. that was some good skill :)
*Do the philosophy of devilman crybaby*

The series is a tiny bit on the nose though, isn't it.
What's the deal with fake honey??
It not being bee vomit.
That segway into sponsoring was so smooth it took me an embarrassingly long time to notice what was going on.

Do one on David Lynch please? Can anyone tell if he has done any of his movies. I am new here, still explloring the channel. Anyways, I make creepy vids too if it interests anyone here, ciao ;)
Wisecrack should make a book. Honestly would buy
Please do Ready Player One! The main theme is about control over the Oasis, but I think there is a slightly hidden theme of learning from the past.
"Ya like jazz?"
I hate this movie, because it says honey bees are exploited, when actually they use us to thrive and drive other species to extinction.
Bees are dying at alarming rates as well though. Humans are just very good at destroying stuff
@@Fluxquark
*Define
Not destroying.
@@I_Dont_Believe_In_Salad Tell that to the Amazon Rainforest big guy!
This was one beeautiful video. 🐝🐝🐝🙌🙌
Very well done!
Do Thug Notes on Liber Lilith by Donald Tyson.
NOT THE BEES!!!! NOT THE BEES!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
The marxist frame doesn't apply very well, though.
Barry's hive was never exploited for its honey.
Even if bees stop getting exploited, they need to keep pollinating in order to keep making honey after the excess is used up.
Alternatively, if you consider the bees' basic needs met forever or for a generation of bees who don't care about extinction, then that still leaves them free to pursue creative labor
Hey wisecrack team love this video and would like to suggest as a compendium to this video you tackle the movie the godsmsut be crazy, come on this movie is perfect for you economic critic, social critic and an interesting filosofical exploration of alienation.
Mandeville wrote a book. That does not mean he is correct in any way.
Pixelated Leaf and yet religious people think the same way as Mandeville does.
Same goes for Marx.
At least Marx was right on some points...
@@animekitty4218 so was mandeville. What's your point.
wisecrack do you have to make everything smart
Jériss DuFond does that make you feel threatened, when things are smart

You guys should take a look into the manga Goodnight Punpun. I feel a lot of the series is based in Neitzsche and I'd love to hear your take on it.
You guys need to do an edition on DARLING in the FRANXX. The symbology is, uh... _cough_ ... super subtle and layered.
