I'm very happy that people like MatPat and people with a little more knowlage of insects exist, when I first watched the Bee Movie I was like "Wait do Flies, Mosquitos, Butterflies, and Wasps and shtuff not exist there or sumthin?" like honestly not a lot of people know that there are pollinators that aren't bees or butterflies and shtuff.

And plus, most kinds of bees don't make honey, and European Honeybees are an invasive species in most parts of the world.
If people cared about pollination, we might decide to prop up other bee species to effectively achieve this. But sadly as long as people want honey, we are going to continue to use and protect honeybees despite the warnings.

If you look into post-Columbus American history, the thing that pops up the most other than genocide is environmental disaster.
Basically every species brought by the Europeans into the Americas was invasive and has ravaged the unique ecosystems of those continents that are now mostly gone.
