1:11 The instrument change from how we knew Bleck's, or should I say Blumiere's theme to a lighter major key really signifies the darkness leaving his heart now that he's reunited with his beloved Timpani
Because you weren't. And that's the beauty of it. This isn't Mario's story and because of that they were allowed to go above and beyond without truly changing the status quo. Allowing this beauty to exist.
the part at 1:52 where it slows down and winds back to the very first edition of the melody memory. it feels like a record player coming back in one circle, like it was always going to end up like this. GOD i love this game.
I am so utterly amazed on how in a Mario game of all games, did they actually do the "Power of Love" trope so amazingly. It honestly is no surprise or cliche that Blumere's love won this fight and powered up the pure hearts. All he did, despite how horrific and evil it was wanting to wipe everyone out of existence, was done out of a broken heart. A heart that is, not was, filled with love despite the darkness overtaking it. You can even argue that the darkness was love itself, but just not immediately recognized by Blumere himself when he was Bleck and bent on destruction. It was not a fairy tale, happily ever after kind of love. This love was painful, hurtful, hateful and full of wrath of the man, his father, that took her away from him, but it was still love nonetheless. Bravo Nintendo for making this story show that love is indeed beautiful, but how dangerous it can be at the same time.
Best video game story, I can’t believe how well this game is made. Truly genius. I played it as a kid, it was fun. I played it as an adult, it was sad. So many references to computers ect. Masterpiece 10/10
@@Папилома-м3кdidn’t this game come out before Undertale? So who’s stealing ideas from who? I can take a guess. And it ain’t this masterpiece of a hidden gem.

The moment I was genuinely in disbelief that I was playing a Mario game

2:54 "I love you, Timpani. Hundreds of thousands of years from now, that fact will not have changed."
Right in the feels😢

Imagine the SSS++ levels of perfection this game would have if it was an RPG like the thousand year door
best feel when you've beaten tower of thinning layers in jtoh and hear this banger knowing you made to the end and achived what you wanted
The saddest story in all of gaming
And happiest
@@ttydnerd4332 True that It may be a sad ending but it's also a happy one for timpani and blumiere. They finally got to be together and live in peace.

The fact that you have a Dimentio pfp makes this even better

Thin like Paper, perhaps?

So glad I finished this game years after getting, so I could understand the story in all of its splendor.
