I made one this afternoon - devoured by la mia famiglia, so I made another one tonight but used pitted cherries instead of blackberries as I had no more blackberries in the refrigerator. The second cake was delicious as the first. The lemon zest and limoncello really make the cake sing. Thanks for the great recipe.

Hi! I tried to bake this recipe tonight, I didn't have limoncello so I used some fresh lemon juice instead, and instead of it being a smooth thick batter it just curdled and didn't turn out. Am I not able to use straight lemon juice? Thank you!
