In this video, I’m sharing my simple and nourishing homemade lip butter recipe! It’s quick, easy, and makes 17 lip balms-perfect for gifts or treating yourself to something natural and luxurious. These lip butters are a top seller for my soap business, and now I’m sharing how you can make them too!
Lip Butter Recipe (Makes 17 Lip Balms):
1.38 oz Coconut Oil
0.48 oz Sweet Almond Oil (or substitute with Grapeseed Oil or any light oil)
1 oz Beeswax (or substitute with Carnauba Wax for a vegan option)
~20 drops of Essential Oil (I used Peppermint for a refreshing feel!)
Instructions:
Combine the coconut oil, sweet almond oil, and beeswax in a microwave-safe container.
Melt the mixture in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between zaps. This process usually takes about 4 rounds.
Once the oils and wax are completely melted, stir in your essential oil of choice (~20 drops).
Quickly pour the mixture into lip balm tubes or containers.
After pouring, scrape any excess mixture from your container, zap it in the microwave again for a few seconds, and top off any tubes that need more.
Allow the lip balms to cool and solidify completely before use.
