    I bought a RUPES 3 15mm. The mail guy trough it on the floor and broke the speed control. I had a client waiting thank god I had a TORQ FX 10 as a backup. My favorite polisher so far is the Flex 3401, this polisher is strong and is a workhorse. When I have a lot of damage on a car, I use the FLEX. A lot stronger and smoother. Difficult to work with at the beginning but when you get use to it, man it’s fun.

    I think Maxshine is a great starter polisher for the beginner however, as a true disclaimer, I had purchased a M15 through Maxshine. The first one broke on me within hours of use. It got replaced and the second one broke on me the next day. While Brian is very honest as customers do not care whether or not your polisher breaks, they care about getting there car back transformed with great results. The next day I called Maxshine and spoke to my sales rep, he honeslty couldn't care if it broke. He was still wondering if I would place a larger order with him, as I thought maxshine would be a good brand for a line up change. I called there Wisconsin headquarters and spoke to the warranty dept. They told me they would send out a trigger assembly that went bad on mine. That order for the trigger assembly till this day, has never came. Customer service is what I give to my customers and I go out of my way to please as many possible. So I truly like the customer service, with maxshine they fell completely short of that.
    It is very possible I may have gotten a bad unit, but two units going bad with days, not weeks or months, says a lot about a company and there products. So I switched my loyalty to Adam's polishes because of Customer service and there 110% guarentee. Plus, there polishers come with 25ft. cords. I still have my rupes and my Torqs but I cannot buy Maxhsine anylonger. The Maxshine M15, M15 pro, M21 pro are great polishers for the beginner but buyer beware of the problems I faced as a professional.
    Brain is always honest in his reviews, I respect his word as many should. Brian's been doing this a little longer than I have and I still enjoy watching his reviews.

    Great video- at about 15 minutes you talk about moving from a 6inch backing plate to a 5 and the issue of wobble that it can create- what about going from a 5 to a 6 on a m15 pro- I have so many 6 inch pads that I don''t really want to start over- thoughts?

    Great review. What is the reason for cleaning out the original grease and replacing it with the grease you suggested? Does it make the machine quieter or smoother? Also, does the grease you recommend come in any other size other than a $40 tube? Seems to me you'd only need a few tablespoons to replace the factory grease. If not, can you suggest another brand that might come in a smaller size?

    Hi, I need your advice. I'm from Mexico, DA polishers are not very common here; so I've grown up with rotary polishers. I want to buy a new polisher, since my rotary is a bit heavy (10 pounds), but I do not know which is the best way to go: -1) a small rotary polisher, like the maxshine M550 with 5 inch pads and leave my old rotary for extreme cases. 2) griots garage DA 8mm throw / maxshine DA 8mm throw; to complement with my rotary. 3) long throw DA polisher: Maxshine M15pro / M21pro; to complement with my rotary. 3) Flex 3401. Thank you and sorry for my bad English.

    Not sure how or why yours came apart so easy. I have the M15 polisher from 2018'. At the 9:40 mark in the video it shows the support bearing pressed onto the shaft. I was hoping to get mine apart to update the grease but there is know way it will wiggle apart as in your video and in other videos. You must have gotten lucky. Tapping and prying on mine, along with some heat from a torch was of no help either. For now I will have to live with the old grease. May have to bore a hole in the housing head in order to allow for pressing it out. I see know way to clean and inspect and repack without being able to get this apart as in your video. This is not as nice a unit as I originally hoped. Had to replace the trigger switch within the first month of using this. At least Maxshine has great customer service. They sent me a new switch free of charge and was a simple fix.

    One more thing, on the washer mod, I have read that it’s not recommend by some. The reason I was told was when you make that gap with the washers it changes the air flow to the pad. That when you create that space the air escapes and doesn’t cool the pad as efficiently. If you have the time do you think you could test this with a meter on a pad and paint with and without the washer.
    Thanks Ed

    How do you think these ShineMaster polishers compare to the Griot's G15/G21? I've been looking at the G15 a lot, but it's $493 plus shipping here in Canada. The M15 Pro is only $279 with free shipping. So I'm wondering if there's a difference in quality, performance, reliability, ease of repair, etc.
    Also, thank you for all the great videos and reviews. You've been a tremendous help for me.

      Hey Porky, Shine master makes the Griots polishers but the tech & research plant for their polishers is here in the U.S. I purchased both 15mm polishers 1st & 2nd updated one similar to the one Brian is showing. I would buy what you can afford, the Harbor Freight 6inch is a good starter unit but has a 8mm throw only & you'll need to buy a better backing plate but for around 45 to 60 U.S dollars it's a decent unit. Brian has a video on the Harbor Freight polisher also, check it out. Hope this helps,Vince.

    I have to take some issue with this review, not so much with you personally. But this mindset that we should buy these products from China just because they are less expensive then “designer” brands is not something we should be supporting. Theses China company’s outright steal the intellectual properties of companies like Rupes and Meguiers and others. Then they copy them and are able to reproduce them at a lower cost due to labor cost and lessor quality parts.
    Without companies like Rupes and Meguiers spending the money on R&D we wouldn’t have these products. Shinemaster don’t spend money on R&D they just illegally copy other products. I feel Sometimes as an American, we should support the company that developed the product especially when they are built in the USA such as Rupes,Meguiers and others. Even if it cost a little more money, you are getting to some degree a better product and supporting USA companies. ( I know Rupes is a Italian company, but they are hand built in USA)
    Also you mentioned that the other brands are popular due to their Social Media and that’s why they cost more. I am not making accusations here, but I know shine master will send anyone with a you tube channel free tools in exchange for positive reviews. I would appreciate if you mentioned if you purchased all the Shine master tools or were they sent to you
    Just my two cents, not trying to start anything here. I appreciate your channel.
    Ed

      Hello Ed, Mostly true but Griots hired this Chinese company to make their BOSS polishers they are just making their own brand to make some money. For the copies of Rupes & the other brands, D.A sanders have been around since the 70's I have a National Detroit orbital sander I purchased in the early 80's & the updated DAQ later in the same decade. These are air operated but work the same. Other companies like Porter Cable & Rupes may have copied them. I'm not 100% sure but check it out, there should be some reference online somewhere. Just my 2 cents as well, Vince.

    • @vincelaguno431
      @vincelaguno431 5 років тому

      @@SWAGURA I agree with you on this. On AMMO UA-cam videos he visited the Rupes company in Italy and they showed how Rupes first made sanders then grinders then polishers . They make high quality polishers but they're a little expensive. Yes you pay for the quality but for a beginner or enthusiast it's better to start with the Shine master polishers then if you're doing it professionally & making good money then you can buy the high quality Rupes or Flex brands. That's what I'm doing. What is your thought on this? Thanks, Vince.

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  5 років тому +8

      Kinda missing the point. And I do agree with some of that. But I have had 2 Rupes polishers go down during the busiest time of the year. MaxShine....not a one. Any polisher can break down....at any time. I am speaking to the beginners that need to make the best decisions from the get go. And buying a Flex or Rupes is not a decision I will ever recommend for them. Chicago, Makita, Griots Garage 8mm, Dewalt. And to finish up. I purchased everything I review to experience the wait time, delivery, unpackaging and everything you all do. It is the only way I can do these with a clear perspective. The add I run halfway through the video is there to assist payment of all these products and tools. Most are then given to those starting out that come to my hands on training sessions.

    • @stephenwhite5444
      @stephenwhite5444 3 роки тому +1

      Most times its opposite, US companies have products made in China knowing that the factory can make additional and sell them themselves. Additionally, my experience is most brands are full of it...the manufacturer designs it and manufactures it and just private label it to the brands. So people think the first brand to bring it to market 'developed' it and everyone else copied....but in reality it's just the factory private labeling it for whoever wants it.
      I dont know the specifics on these machines in particular but have general experience with China manufacturing and private labeling.
