3rd! Lol great video man! Was waiting for this one haha. It's an absolute great upgrade from the M15PRO series 1. Glad you liked it!!! Wait till you feel it with some Rupes Pads😁😁 lol. Thanks for the quick Shout out too brother!!✊🏼✊🏼 take is easy man!
PapaSmurf918 I can’t wait to use it more! Absolutely man anyway I can help you grow.
I owned 3 Rupes and find the MaxShine15 to be every bit as good as the Rupes for half the price.
Bought my MaxShine 15 a couple of years ago and still works and we use it often at my shop so it will last you a long time man.
Cajun Kevin That’s great to hear! Thanks brother
Too bad MaxShine doesn't offer the same swirl finder light anymore. The new one doesn't have the pocket clip. And $92... ouch. Great video though, very helpful.
@@matthewpeterson3329 I didn’t know they stopped selling it. Too bad it was a nice light I still use. Thank you!
I have 900 watt 15mm Maxshine and I really like it. Its older, but works great.
I prefer the slow start. It's super helpful and I use it to my advantage every time. The slow start helps me with spreading product instead of having to switch speeds between 2 and 3 to correction
Caco Corlino I can understand that! I have always had a fast start machine and that’s just what I am used to.
I'm new to detailing and bought the MaxShine 15 pro II because I didn't want to spend half a grand on a polisher. I loved it the first time I used it. I have zero experience with any other polisher to compare the differences but the MaxShine just felt good in my hands, the build quality is solid, more than enough power and it did the job in short time. So, thanks for the positive video. I feel good about my purchase.
That’s awesome! It’s definitely a solid machine. You are welcome
I like MaxShine products.
Picked up a Flex PE8 yesterday and going to try it out today.
Another great video FAB
Cajun Kevin These are the first 2 I have tried and liked them. Hoping to try more soon. Thanks man
What a great video. I have been watching videos on polishers all week long. I have been going back and forth between this and the Rupes. I keep hearing about the stalling so my mind tells me just order the Rupes and be done with it. Then my other side kicks in when I watch a video like this. Do I want to pay twice the amount just to polish my truck once and then stick it in a box and rarely ever use it again. I hate cutting corners and usually by the quality items but I have really been struggling with this one.
notta3d Thank you! This is a great machine IMO. I have seen people struggle with a Rupes stalling also. Every machine I own can stall but once you get the hang of it and know how to work the machine around body lines you won’t have to worry about it. Hope this helps.
The rupes stalls more than the maxshine
Great tips on polishing around angles. That’s where I struggled when I polished my car for first time. And, now I wished I would have paid the extra $50 or $60 to get this Pro version. ☹️
Ryan Mulhearn Thanks! I struggled with the body lines also but learned how to maneuver around them. It’s a great little machine.
Awesome video and very thorough review bro.
Miller Detailing Thanks brother!
Wow! Just the kind of review I was wanting on this polisher. Big difference over the V one. Appreciate the close up on the vertical panels. Great video man.
404 not found I’m glad it helped you! Thank you
On sale right now for 188.00 directly from maxshine
eds1990sporty That’s a great deal!
Great demo video Brian! Are you planning on picking up one of the new Griot’s G15/G21 when they release them later next month? Really interested in seeing how those perform compared to the previous BOSS units, and also compared to this Series II Maxshine. Love the lower pricepoint that Griots will have those at compared to the BOSS line.
WaxMode Thanks Kyle! I’m not planning on it right now because I love my first gen BOSS G21. The price point is really good though and the power is suppose to be a little better so I am not ruling it out.
WaxMode BTW for some reason it never gives me a notification when you comment so I just happened to see this when answering a different one.
FAB Automotive Detailing - UA-cam’s commenting system has been so incredibly inconsistent for me, I don’t think I ever get notifications if I’ve replied to a comment and then they reply back to me, their reply I won’t be notified a large part of the time. Then most of my comments don’t tag the name of the person I’m replying to, this comment did though for whatever reason. And then I was in a line spacing prison for over a year, where trying to break my comments into paragraphs with proper spacing wouldn’t go through, it would just clump a block of text without me editing comments to manually replace those paragraph breaks. Just a mess. They just did a large revamp of the comment system it looks like so we’ll see how this does.
The new G21 is a step down from the previous BOSS 21. I returned mine to Griots. Powerful, but a rough ride.
Great video Brian👍👍 I'm glad you did the panel with the imperfections at the end👌 It's very satisfying seeing the finished product😊 P.S... Fix your mini blind, it was driving me nuts🥜 Just messing with you buddy, enjoy your weekend✌🏼
IntervalePC Thanks! We are replacing all the windows soon so we are gonna put new blinds up then. 😂 Thanks and you too
I like this one a little better than the one at harbor freight. It’s a lot smaller. Good video , but with the MaxShine you’ll need to check the backing plates. They’ve sent out several warped backing plates ( you should buy a spare ) but the polisher itself is ok. Takes a bit of learning like most polishers to keep it spinning but it can do the job.
Amir Abdullah Thanks! I appreciate the heads up. It’s a winner in my book and I will be using it all the time.
Found one of these brand new for $185 on Facebook so I pull the trigger, have t used it yet but I’m excited to soon! Thanks and good review
charles bauswell That’s a great deal! You will like it. You are welcome and thank you!
Do you like it , better than Griot's
Michael Amos I have not tried Griot’s 15mm throw but the Griot’s 21 mm is more powerful then this but not by much. They are both comfortable and work great.
Just used this polisher yesterday and it is fantastic! It is well worth the money.
Chris Murphy I agree 💯!
Same here. A big step up from what I was using. 🤙🏻
Definitely interested in this machine!! I need something to pair with my M1000 rotary😁...yep.. the white top handle gets dirty quickly.. that kinda plastic rubber stuff is a oil and dirt magnet 😬
MNpicker Man I clean it everytime I get done using it! 😂
@@FABAutomotiveDetailingI got so frustrated with it I coated the whole thing in Crystal Serum C4 😁.. it helps a lot 😎
Come on Liam
Great video I've gotten 4 buffers right now 3 are mine and my boss bought me one for his personal vehicles/ his work vehicles in good on that but that light would be good so I can check my work better but in all that it was very helpful for someone looking to buy a buffer very helpful indeed but yes that's was a very great video to check into buying a buffer looks like a rupes buffer the color looks comfortable to buff the long throwing motions great video fab thanks for the information have a great weekend Brian/ fab family keep cool buddy
Robert Knapp dYou can never have to many polishers! 😂 Thanks
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing yea I know right now I need tire dressing/ plastic restore/ ceramic wax / steamer oh more pads then ill be set forawhile lol
Good video.
Amir Abdullah Thank you!
Hey Brian can't seem to find the link on this. I'm trying to decide if I want to purchase this. I seen a video of this where if you go over speed 4 he said it bogs down and doesn't rotate and it stalls making for paint correction being hard to do. Would that be a negative to not purchasing this Product
It’s a good polisher but does have its down sides which stalling is one of them. The more you use it and learn it the easier it is to use. If I were you though I would buy a Griots polisher. They have more power and won’t bog down.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing which one would you recommend. I have a 9mm polisher from Amazon called a himimi which is a short throw
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing hey Brian the video I was talking about with the polisher that stalled was the M15 Pro the original not the M15 Max shine pro 2
@@donschultz7759 I understand but I’m saying even this one stalls at times especially near body lines.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing Thanks 🙏. Yeah I slept on thinking about it and I'm gonna pass on the maxshine
Great video. I’m tempted to get that buffer. I’m certainly picking up one of those lights. You can never have too many tools!! Be well, stay safe. Thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you! Lights are a must and yes you can never have to many.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing I have to get a few of those lights! That’s such a vital part of detailing. The sun is the most honest form.
@@J1Z06 The sun is our worst critic!
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing Our best friend and our worst enemy!!
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing Nice Amazon store! just bought the light. Really looking forward to trying it out. Thanks!!
What is the exact diameter of the backing plate of the M15 pro?
Great review. Stalling is not a problem with me either. I use my G21 for correction and my Adams 15mm swirl killer for finishing 3 inch for the tight areas. Papa smurf is right you have to try the rupes white finishing pads I’m hooked.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇨🇦
Kenny D Thanks! I will be buying some Rupes pads in the near future.
I’m very impressed with the M15 Pro Series 2. I had a Rupes 15 Mark III and sold it. No need for it with the M15 Pro Series 2. Just as smooth as the Rupes, quality bearings and good ergonomics.
I like it a lot also! I’ve never owned or used a Rupes but have heard mix reviews on them.
Nice job FAB! That polisher is really nice! Looks very similar to my Rupes MKIII. I agree about the white handle. Shows dirt really easy. But the handle itself is good and does it’s job. Now the light...I might just have to get one. Been researching and this one might have to make the list!! Nice job! What protection did you lay down on the journey? Another coating? See ya later my friend!
Phriendlymd Thanks brother! Yeah it is a nice light for sure. Stay tuned next Saturday and you will see. 😂 All I will say is it is green!
Thank you for this video!
Hey Brian, thanks for doing this video a while back. I noticed you mentioned a washer mod that you like to do. I couldn’t find any videos on your channel where you show that, can you explain what your washer mod is? Is it simply just adding a washer to give the backing more room between the polisher? Thanks!
I don’t have a video on it but yes you add a washer so the backing plate spins freely. Some models you have to shave the washers sides off to make fit. Nothing a bench grinder can’t handle.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing awesome thanks for your response and explanation! Do you still use the M15 Pro II? Did you have any negative experiences with it? I’ve heard so many mixed reviews. Thanks, you the man.
@@ShineAndPreserveDetailing I use it every now and then without any problems. I lean more towards my Griots machines for the most part though.
How’s the Green vs Black max shine m15 pro 11
I have not tried the green version so I can’t answer that!
Trying to track down the 1st gen G15 as I think they are much better than their new ones they released. Have a G21 and its great along with other polishers. If i can't find a G15 im considering maybe getting 1 of these as i don't feel like spending rupes/flex $ and I don't think they are that powerful of a machine anyways. I hate stall happy machines lol
Jordan FitCarGuy Yeah the original BOSS machines are great. This is a great option if you can’t find one. I have seen the Rupes and Flex stall just as easy as this. It’s all about manipulation and getting around it.
Thanks for the reply back, must of missed seeing it a couple of weeks ago
Jordan FitCarGuy You are welcome
Speed five...?
awesome review. I just ordered the Boss G15 but it's on backorder. Is this M15pro worth canceling the order or would you wait? TIA
I dont think so. The customer service griots has is worth it alone
I'm on the fence with it, seems a step backwards from the original version. Plus the new adapter pieces for certain pads seems strange
@@jkroemer2685 what adaptor piece and which polisher are you talking about?
@@xgxhypxgx g15/g21 2nd gen...the 3 different 🔩 to accommodate different pads or backing plate to help or adjust vibrations. Like te older versions are just balanced great to begin with and can interchange anything on them with 0 issues.
What washer mod did you put on?
HutchDesigns It came with a washer I put on.
What yellow pad are you using with it?
It’s a Griots Garage BOSS Perfecting Cream pad
Nice video. You shouldn’t have sped it up on the test good. 😉
Mark 17 Thanks! I thought about not doing the time lapse but then the video would have been much longer.
Like the light has a clip
Ouzo Lou Garage That’s such a small detail but makes a big difference.
Was it hot inside the garage?
Hoof Hearted That day it was!
Have you ever used a Rupes to compare it to?
No I have not. I’ve heard a lot of people say the Rupes stalls real easy so I h e never paid the high price for it.
FAB Automotive Detailing I’ve heard the same. Also I’ve heard the little beating spacer the shinemaster comes with helps a lot with stalling on body lines.
Seventh Studio Yes the washer mod it comes with makes a big difference.
Was the AC on?
Keith Firebird This was the weekend before I installed it.
Awesome video
James Higginbotham Thank you!
Have you changed out the gearbox grease yet? I attempted to do this with my HF DA and stripped the cheap screws so now I bought the Maxshine M15pro 2. I can't believe I'm worried about stupid internal screws that are too soft or over torqued!
I have not but @Papasmurf918 has a video on doing it to his.
🤗❤👍
👍👍
eds1990sporty Thanks!
Griot's G9 or this?
I would have to say G9!
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing Well thanks, now that I have just had the Maxshine delivered. :) Actually, I kinda like this machine better than my Griot's 6 inch (not the new series stuff) and the biggest impressive thing is the super low vibration. I was not expecting that.
@@no_handle_required It is a very smooth machine for sure and once you figure out how control it around body lines you will love it. The G9 just seems to have more power that’s why I said that.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing I appreciate the video and the info!
@@no_handle_required You are welcome
You will buy the new BOSS polisher?
Probably not atleast at the moment. I really like my first generation BOSS G21
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing make sense... im on your nerves about Griots 3in1 ceramic wax video lol
Carlos Rivera It’s all good! 3 in 1 Video is made and I started editing it last night. It will be out next Saturday morning.
