What I did was hit him like 2 r 3 times with dragon rotten breath! And then I stayed on my horse and kept resummoning the NPC's and let them do the most of the work. But that rotten breath is really awesome for damage over time!

Wonderfully made, so informative and simple to follow, thank you so very much. @ 7:18 for those deciding to fight and having trouble with the Godskin Apostle, it has no resistance to sleep pots. A successfully applied sleep potion will put it to sleep for a very long time, only waking after it is attacked.
Important note for the Dung Eater Questline : If you give the Dung Eater the potion, and then quickly kill him, you can obtain both the armor, and the puppet ! You do not lose anything from giving him the potion this way.
Yes you are correct. I honestly thought this was going to be a bug that got fixed or patched out eventually, so I was hesitant to mention it. Seems like it is still working as of the most recent patch though!
I love your guides for all the reasons stated before me, I have been using them to prep a new character for the DLC because I definitely missed out on quests in my initial playthrough. One unique thing that really stood out to me is the music choices that accompany the clips of you journeying, they are genuinely beautiful, and add a lot of enjoyment to what might otherwise be a simple act of commuting from point A to B. Thank you for all your hard work and care!
You really provide the most simple and helpful elden ring guide. Straight to the point and making sure you cover everything not trying go too fast or skip over anything.. Keep up the great work
If you have trouble defeating the Tree Sentinal in front of the city, you can also summon Millicent here. Her sign is a bit hidden so not many people actually know about this.
I really like this game but I have a job and all that so to spend enough time to explore all of this myself just isn’t there. So I missed pretty much all the side quests my first run through and these tutorials have made my second run through so much better. I’m excited to learn all this and then try to do it myself my 3rd run thru. You put in so much work on these and I hope you get recognized for it man. Your the most important player on UA-cam right now in my opinion.
I actually found out while in my 2nd run through that there's actually 4 people you can give seluvis potion to. You can give it to corhyn at one point during the gold mask quest line. The option is available after you find him in the mountain top of the giants on the bridge and in despair. Though I'm not sure what that does, because I didn't give it to him.
I salute you sir, amazingly structured video and very clear eplanations. The fact that you go out of your way to trace the road to a destination with your cursor on the map to make sure we'll know how to reach it is greatly appreciated.
I know this probably doesn't mean much but dude you should be getting a lot more views than you do...you produce some really high quality tutorials. I recommend you to anyone I talk to about Elden Ring...keep up the excellent content and thanks for all the hard work 👍
Your guide is absolutely professional. I have to drop off to look at other things that I have questions about sometimes and every time I think how unreal it is with how high you’ve set the bar.

Thank you! I've watched the two previous videos and I had missed some stuff here and there I feel like I would have maybe messed up some quests. I always thought I wasn't much of a completionist, but this game brings it out of me. Praise the friend!
If you kill Dung Eater IMMEDIATELY after giving him Seluvis’s potion, you will be able get his spirit summon, and you can pick up his armor off of his body.
Progress Ranni until Seluvis kicks the bucket too then you take his bell to the twins. This allowed me the dung puppet. It wouldn't show up for me at first either.
These guides are amazing and constructive for a hectic life. Thank you!! I wake up, throw on your guide and explore Elden Ring, until I'm summoned for family duties.
How did this guy not have a million subs? I literally started over without beating the game with a level 175 character just for this and I am happy I did.
The Lendyll knight between artist Shack and where you find Alexander by jar burg, drops a ancient dragon prayerbook which lets you learn honed bolt and lightning spear incantations which are both very good

thanks Shatter and Marshmallow for the great guides , also the Music you pick for this series truly sets the mood and makes it some of the best guides on UA-cam .
Thank you for this, entire series is so insanely well done it's absolutely unbelievable. This is especially good for 2nd playtrough, ppl should complete the game on their own, explore and finish it how they know, but for 2nd playtrough this is so refreshing
Not sure if anyone mentioned it in the comments. But you can kill the Dung Eater after giving him Seluvis’ position. Just wait for his last breath and you get his armor set. And you will still be able to get him as a puppet.
Shatter, this series is FANTASTIC. I know the views are going down, so I totally get it if you decide not to continue the series, but I really appreciate it, and I'm definitely looking forward to the next video
I gave some tips for exploration/things to do until the next part in the series. Hopefully that keeps everyone a little more occupied until Part 4. Check the video description for a handful of guides I picked out that can be followed without fear of missing anything/messing up any questlines.
This is an insane video. You put a mad amount of effort into this so that the rest of us don’t have to scramble around aimlessly. Thank you so much for helping make my first Elden gameplay tolerable.
"and now we are ready to take on Rhadan." I never thought id make it this far in this game!!!! Holy shit!!! Youve helped me and others so much!!! What a fucking game! This is awesome!!!
I've been playing Elden Ring since its release, and I never completed all npc quests. I figured I'd finally give it a go and started watching videos, none of them compared to what I've received from you! Your videos are void of any fluff and are straight to the point. You've gained a faithful follower my friend. Keep up the amazing content!
Quick tip (I’m sure it’s shatter has covered before) You can get Dung Eater armor after giving him the potion Once Dung Eater dies from the potion Hit him and you can loot the armor If you leave he will disappear You can then continue the puppet side of his quest and have the sword, armor and puppet in one play through
I was hesitant to mention this because it seemed more like a bug than anything else and I was worried about the implications down the road (people upset that I told them to kill dung eater and then they don't get the puppet because of it). As far as I know this still works though. Hopefully if Fromsoft patches/fixes it they will make it so that Dung Eater doesn't drop the armor after giving him the potion, rather than he drops the armor but you don't get the puppet.
@@JubeiSenpai I’m sure it’s reproducible for now, we’ll have to see how long until it’s fixed. If it does get fixed I might remove comments that mention it (just in an effort to limit misinformation) but for now it is good info!
A good tip for an bit easier run into Fort Faroth, go to the isolated Merchant in the NW corner of Caelid and by the Beast Repellent Torch, it will be very handy through the rest of the game as well.
Heads up, "just you wait, when next we meet" is not Alexander's final dialogue after the radahn fight, if you repeat that line twice, the third time will be a different line talking to the bodies he's digging up - "Alright lads, I'm going to take you on a little journey. You'll all be inside me, and be part of me. From now on, we're all in it together, so let's all of us dream big"
Great video. This series is really helping me a lot. "Draught" is pronounced "Draft". It is how we spell draft in the UK, for some reason. Air blowing under a door would create a draught. A beer pulled from a pump rather than poured from a bottle is a draught beer. A mouthful of beer or potion is also a draught.
@@ItsShatter im pretty sure us changed a lot of words to shorten them for newspapers due to being charged per letter so some words got adjusted or shortened to help save on cost 'draught vs draft' 'colour vs color' stuff like that probably can find a video somewhere
There is one quest near Alexander's North Linurnia location above Jarburg that is missing from this video but would fit perfectly after freeing Alexander. Drop down to Jarburg below and talk to Jar Bairn. He will ask you to become Jarburg's Potentate. Completing this quest rewards you with a talisman and also the final step in Dialos's questline.
@@vycanismajoris6871 Apologies, the name is apparently spelled Jar Bairn. Jar Bairn is an NPC, not a location, located at Jarburg. Jar Bairn is a small pot that sits on the steps of one of the buildings.
@@Mixels no need to apologize man :) that doesnt change the fact that theres still nothing there. To south, woods and treasure. To north, idle pots that aggro if you hit them. The only house you can get in is broken. In there is yet another idle pot, that aggro if you hit it. Been on top of houses, behind houses. Nothing. No NPC, no.. Jar Bairn, whatever that is. Its an empty place so I dont know whats wrong lol
@@vycanismajoris6871 UA-cam won't let me leave a link in a comment, but just google "Jar Bairn". Jar Bairn was added in version 1.03. You're right that at launch Jarburg was an empty flower farm, but they added a quest there. Should check it out if you're a completionist or are trying for a jar build. The reward for completing it is a talisman that increases the potency of thrown jars by 20% and is called Companion Jar. This quest also plays a part in Dialos's questline and must be completed to progress Dialos's quest past the point where he leaves Volcano Manor.

SELUVIS QUEST: If he wont accept the amber starlight shard, make sure you give nepheli the stormhawk ash (near blacksmith stairs) if you gave the potion to Gideon
31:30 it's not just that Ranni dissappears. If you go back to Seluvis, you just find his bell bearing so it probably means that Ranni went down and finished him hahaha also Iji [the blacksmith/war counselor] dissappears [he probably just goes with Ranni]. This is an amazing guide. Thank you so much!
For anyone still stuck at trying to get the "I want another puppet" line, you need to summon the puppet you first got from him in a fight. It worked for me without progressing Ranni's story line.
Summon the first puppet you got from him in a fight..? Huh? What puppet is that? I followed these guides and ill admit I have terrible memory but I dont remember this guy ever giving me a puppet. Well hell.. idk what to do know.

Sir I thank you this play guide has been really helpful, and I love that you don't really spoil certain things, I appreciate it. I always catch some surprises.
I would like to add that if you have more than one shard for the puppet portion of sivelius quest line and it bugs out like you talk about you will have to leave all shards in inventory and pick them back up and then continue to do what you say in the video. dropping one didn't work and I was about to just kill him for the irritation of it. Great vids by the way. Massive help with the quest lines. Thank you!!
If youre struggling with the draconic tree sentinel theres a summon sign right next to stake of marika that made it way easier along with a bell summon. 19:20
Little note I once made in my game. I gave the potion to the Dungeater. Afterwards you can hit him directly on his chair so that he dies. So I got the armor set and was able to buy the Spirit later. The only thing that wasn't possible anymore was completing the quest. Further note: I don't know if the killing in the chair was patched.

The first ep. stumbled onto my autoplay while I was watching Vaati after not having been into souls games for a couple months, but you two sound so alike. Figured I might as well start a new character to go through all the quests ingame, since I never fully completed the quests or achieved any special endings, just the main one 2 times. I don't know if this is weird to point out, but I mean it in a complimenting sense, Vaati is an absolutely awesome souls-youtuber and your voice, the structure of the videos, the level of detail in your explanations, definitely comparable to Vaati, you're doing an amazing job man, love this series.

Pro Tip: After beating Radahn make sure to revisit the chamber site of grace before continuing on, around the corner will be a now open door with the Fire Affinity Whetblade item 🔥
Before going to siofra river if you go to Redman castle you can find some unique dialog with jerren, you will have the option to talk about Iji and jerren will ask we were serving ranni and jerren will say after the festival ranni's fate will return to motion
I only got this today, I’m on Journey 8 doing a 100% run. Let me tell ya, for a faith build, the whetblade is a damn godsend
What I did was hit him like 2 r 3 times with dragon rotten breath! And then I stayed on my horse and kept resummoning the NPC's and let them do the most of the work. But that rotten breath is really awesome for damage over time!
Right after beating him should I do this step?
Are you taking about chamber outside the place??
these guides are amazing i was feeling lost like i didnt know what to do in the game and i was wasnt progressing. 10/10 the work that must have went into these must have been immense i cant thank you enough.
@@ItsShatter I made sure to test it out, before commenting, so it 100% still works :)
I wish I tried this. Did all the steps but the message won't appear to meet at the moat.
It seems I killed him too quickly because I did not get the puppet after giving him the potion
@@devinm.6149 I do not think it works anymore. I waited a bit after giving the potion, then killed him. The puppet was not offered later.
Makes me sad bro been trying to summon NPCs for every boss they can be summoned for and I just killed those two bro I missed it
I really like this game but I have a job and all that so to spend enough time to explore all of this myself just isn’t there.
Yes
You’re a legend. These guides are amazing been picking up SO much stuff I missed on my first play. Thank you! 🙏🏽
I know this probably doesn't mean much but dude you should be getting a lot more views than you do...you produce some really high quality tutorials. I recommend you to anyone I talk to about Elden Ring...keep up the excellent content and thanks for all the hard work 👍
Thanks XotiC. Slowly but surely the views/attention are building!
You really got the best ER quest guides on YT right now. Thank you kind sir and keep up the good work 👏🏽🙌🏽
Your guide is absolutely professional. I have to drop off to look at other things that I have questions about sometimes and every time I think how unreal it is with how high you’ve set the bar.
Commenting for the algorithm and to show appreciation for these videos my man! I can’t imagine all of the hard work that goes into these videos and I just want to show as much appreciation as I can through a UA-cam comment. Thanks for everything my man!!
Hands-down, the greatest ER tutorial series I've come across.
Do not try dropping your starlight shards. Mine permanently disappeared.
One of the best Elden ring guides of UA-cam thanks 🍻🍻
Cheers!
Thank you! I've watched the two previous videos and I had missed some stuff here and there I feel like I would have maybe messed up some quests. I always thought I wasn't much of a completionist, but this game brings it out of me.
Praise the friend!
Thank you for the kind donation Marchiano! I agree, while I feel like most games are a chore to get 100%, with this game it comes naturally!
If you kill Dung Eater IMMEDIATELY after giving him Seluvis’s potion, you will be able get his spirit summon, and you can pick up his armor off of his body.
Fr?
I have tried this and I couldn’t get his summon for some reason I don’t know is glitched or what ?
I can confirm this works, as he said it has to be immediately after giving him the seluvis potion
@@louiscourt3124 yeah it works
Progress Ranni until Seluvis kicks the bucket too then you take his bell to the twins. This allowed me the dung puppet. It wouldn't show up for me at first either.
I finally mustered the courage to start NG+ after the DLC and your guides are just what I needed. God bless you my dude!
These guides are amazing and constructive for a hectic life. Thank you!! I wake up, throw on your guide and explore Elden Ring, until I'm summoned for family duties.
How did this guy not have a million subs? I literally started over without beating the game with a level 175 character just for this and I am happy I did.
The Lendyll knight between artist Shack and where you find Alexander by jar burg, drops a ancient dragon prayerbook which lets you learn honed bolt and lightning spear incantations which are both very good
This is my first souls game, and im on my second play through journey 2, without this guide i woud be lost, thank you, the way this game works is amazing, my new favorite type of game, thank you again
Perfect timing on this one. I had literally just finished the 2nd guide the day you put out this one. Great work man, thank you.
thanks Shatter and Marshmallow for the great guides , also the Music you pick for this series truly sets the mood and makes it some of the best guides on UA-cam .
I’m glad you’ve been finding the videos helpful, cheers!
Your guides are just simply amazing. You have done amazing amount of research/replay... I really appreciate all your hard work!
GREAT FREAKING GUIDES. I can’t wait to follow them after I beat it.
Shatter, this series is FANTASTIC. I know the views are going down, so I totally get it if you decide not to continue the series, but I really appreciate it, and I'm definitely looking forward to the next video
No I am gonna see this series through to the end. I think it will do really well in the long run!
@@ItsShatter thanks man
Love these guides, I can't wait for the next one. Thanks for all the hard work
I gave some tips for exploration/things to do until the next part in the series.
Just letting everyone know you can summon Great Horned Tragoth for the Demonic Tree Sentinel fight. (19:15)
Quick tip (I’m sure it’s shatter has covered before)
You can get Dung Eater armor after giving him the potion
Once Dung Eater dies from the potion
Hit him and you can loot the armor
If you leave he will disappear
You can then continue the puppet side of his quest and have the sword, armor and puppet in one play through
I was hesitant to mention this because it seemed more like a bug than anything else and I was worried about the implications down the road (people upset that I told them to kill dung eater and then they don't get the puppet because of it). As far as I know this still works though. Hopefully if Fromsoft patches/fixes it they will make it so that Dung Eater doesn't drop the armor after giving him the potion, rather than he drops the armor but you don't get the puppet.
Yes, I agree it did seem it was a bug as I hit him by mistake and saw the item icon and was like um ok 🤣
This is one of the best guides for any game I've ever seen
05:11 There is a hidden boss room, it is to the left stairs under the earth tree sablings ;)
Wait…. Really? Man I feel dumb for pronouncing it how I have been this whole time! Lol! Thanks for the correction
What? Jarbehrn? Theres no such thing in the game. Been down to Jarburg tho and theres absolutely nothing to do there. Shits an empty place.
With your guides I get 2 amazing playthroughs. I always like to go in blind my first playthrough, then I go NG+ and get everything I missed.
Haven't enjoyed a game this much in years.
Dude that was fast. I've fallowed all parts so far, including this one, and i haven't had a SINGLE issue. Fantastic man, good job
SELUVIS QUEST: If he wont accept the amber starlight shard, make sure you give nepheli the stormhawk ash (near blacksmith stairs) if you gave the potion to Gideon
Also, if seluvis is not dead after talking to Ranni, you have to rest at a grace
thank you i couldnt progress his quest even though i did all the steps this fixed it for me.
Thank you so much man
These guides are invaluable. Thank you so much for making them so clear and easy to follow.
The elden legend is back. Let’s go boys
I summoned it didn't fight tho and use a starlight shard then rest at ranni's rise and it worked for me hope it helps
Thank you so much bro
Thank god it worked for me lol.
Pin this answer! Summoned it outside vs dragon and then just restarted. Didn't even kill dragon lol
Summon the first puppet you got from him in a fight..? Huh? What puppet is that? I followed these guides and ill admit I have terrible memory but I dont remember this guy ever giving me a puppet. Well hell.. idk what to do know.
Man you are the KIng , after finishing the game i just wanted to do all missed quest , part 3 here i come , thank you so much
Guided by Grace… and Shatter. 😁
I got the bug where the "I want a new puppet" dialogue wasn't appearing and your guide to fix it worked perfectly thanks a lot man :D
9:32 is 18 💀
Did you win bro?
@@Norweigian7819 Yeah but i dont remember how.
@@guts9160Cool, I just beat him like 3 days ago. It was more easier than I thought
Hello, I have finished the game included the doc many times now I started my 5th journey and I found your amazing guide to get all the quests in order and I have been finding NPCs I have never seen lol thank you so much for the hard work!
Incredibly helpful yet again. Not sure how you long these videos take to make but I can imagine quite a few days. Really appreciate the details.
Best tutorials I've seen for Elden Ring.
Thank you for your hard work... this is A LOT of work.
Bro can I fully explore and beat bosses in lyndell capital because I feel like hw is just speeding through this?
Whoa... I have never witness such dedication to a guide for a game that needed it in my life man wow!
You have increased the joy I take in this game tenfold
Youve become a god to me. Thought i did pretty well on my first blind playthrough but after following these vids i realise how much i missed
I've gone through 3 of these so far and they are by far the most helpful.... I missed so many things my first time through lol
Thank you so much for these. Excellent work.
I hope you will be doing the DLC as well. That would raise you to epic level!
I certainly am! Hope to see you there and thanks for watching!
Just want to say thank you bro without these guides i would have missed so much appreciate all the time you put in for us wish you all the success and hope god blesses you
Sir I thank you this play guide has been really helpful, and I love that you don't really spoil certain things, I appreciate it. I always catch some surprises.
I just completed the 3rd part of your guide and I became addicted to it, such a nice work!
As always, amazing guide, definitely among the most detailed and informative guides available anywhere online for Elden Ring.
Ok, I know we’ve talked before and I was appreciative then - but man, I’m on my 6th playthrough and I depend on these guides every time. I find something new every time I follow them (which may not say a lot for me…lol). I can’t tell you how helpful these are and how much Googling it saved me. You rock man. How is Marshmallow btw??
I'm late and I can't lie, you sound so akin to VaatiVidya that I didn't realise I was watching a whole other channel lmao.
Thanks Ben! I appreciate the compliment. Hoping this guide series serves you well!
@@ItsShatter Absolutely! The guide is amazing, I'm following it step-by-step, I can't believe I missed the Black Knife armor set and weapon on my first couple of playthroughs, I'm so excited to get to that part of the series! :p
Although I ended up going to Volcano Manor to level up a weapon to +9, hoping I didn't ruin any questlines, I didn't speak to anyone there, just got bonfires and somber smithing stones, but I'll find out if I miss out LOL
Man you make an awesome guide. I'm on NG++ level 468 and there was so much I missed on my first 2 playthroughs. You have a gift for this stuff :-). I was bored with the game and going to stop playing until I came across your first guide. Keep up the good work.
Patiently awaited this video...I'm on ng++ and been following your guides....however since I ended ng+ with the dungeater ending I chose to make him a puppet this time around since I didn't know this was possible til after I already did his entire quest on ng+...again thanks for the valuable content...I patiently await part 4....
Hands down, best guide I’ve ever used. How in goodness name did you figure all of this out???
Been using this guide since part one, thanks so much there’s new things i found after my third playthrough
Best walkthrough story line videos by far!
I fought the magma wyrm with no summons. SMH. I didn’t know you could even summon over there. That sword is one of the most fun weapons in the game for me. Sooo satisfying
Wahoo! Thanks for part 3! I was worried after I finished part two and didn’t find 3 on your channel. Figured I’d give it a couple of days and here it is. 🥳👍🏻
Dude you’re the best. Will be watching part 4 now
Your guide, the amount of details, work going into it, is just superb. Thanks a bunch. I was lost until I found your videos. Big up,
I really hope you continue this series for the dlc ❤ ive followex these videos multiple times😊 thanks for the hard work!
Yo! Great detailed notes. Appreciate someone who can deliver meticulous content. Props!!
Amazing videos! You put so much effort into this I can't express my appreciation enough!
This is my first game to play like this in 15 years since WoW...this walk through made my OCD happy and my wife not want to kill me for wasting hours to do one thing!
Keep up the amazing work, I am glad I found this channel whilest looking for a good guide. I'm one week into the game and because of your guide I have no wife aggro and am about to start video 7. Lvl 120 to boot thanks to some easy cheeses!
Not me waking up at 9am and playing till 3am the next day on accident because this game is so good. Also great vids buddy:)
