      Isa IsaLee I had gastric sleeve surgery back in February. I can say that if I eat one more bite than my stomach can hold it’s very uncomfortable. It’s easy to have one bite more if I eat faster than I should.
      These people aren’t taking it seriously, and it pisses me off because these people are getting free surgeries for appearing on the show.

    • @Eggo2341
      @Eggo2341 4 роки тому +39

      yeah, they do it because they see the surgery as a magical pass so they can eat whatever and suffer no consequences, they just think that after the surgery they'll lose weight no matter what they eat instead of seeing it as a boost to aid them on their own journey and to accompany their hard work

      Because it does! :) A lot of people don't understand how much your diet contributes to not only your well-being, but your mood as well! It makes sense if you think about it - the body, including the brain, needs nutrients and vitamins to function properly, if you deprive your body of them it won't work that well. But on the other hand if you switch to a healthier diet and your body finally gets what it needs, it will start working better! You're making your life better step by step, and I hope you'll reach your goal and feel amazing in your skin! Keep working hard, you won't regret it! :)

    These videos make me feel really good about myself and about the fact that I lost my excess weight on my own with no surgery and no diet pills. I went from 300 down to my current weight of 150 lb. What took the weight off for me was when I started dancing. The pounds dropped like magic. Watching these videos shows you the excuses that people used to justify their bad habits. In reality, they're just lazy. If you can't get up and waddle to the kitchen to fix your own food, no one should be bringing it to you.

      Just put on music you love that makes you feel like dancing, and dance like no one else is watching. I discovered that dancing would take the lweight off when I got a job working for Liberty Tax standing by the side of the road and waving at cars wolddress like the Statue of Liberty. It was tremendously boring, so I started dancing up and down the sidewalk. The people driving by absolutely loved it, and in three months I dropped 40 pounds. I went back and did it two more years after that and have kept dancing ever since. Friends who haven't seen me in a long time or astounded at how much weight I've been able to lose. I have never been thin before in my whole entire life, and now it's 66 years old, I'm learning what it's like to be a normal size for the first time ever. Good luck with your weight loss. I know you can do it! If I can do it, I know you can do it! At 300 pounds, my blood pressure was through the roof and I was diagnosed with diabetes. I no longer have diabetes, and even though the blood pressure still requires medication, I'm in good shape for someone my age. The health benefits of losing the extra weight are well worth the effort!

      Its crazy because people come here from other countries and are shocked by our huge portion sizes. I was an overeater because the way I was raised. In my family we'd get in trouble for wasting food so I grew with the bad habit of eating my entire meal even when half of it would've sufficed. I've thankfully gotten to a point where now I've been able to train myself to eat a low carb meal once a day but it took work.
      So when I have days that I want to treat myself I physically can't eat the entire portion anymore. I treated myself to cheesy tots from Dog Haus some time ago and I couldnt even eat a 1/4 of it. I can’t keep the stuff on my house. I buy a candy bar when I go to the pharmacy once a month now but damned if the cravings aren’t much worse for 2-3 days after. It’s worth it at this point to have some splurge left built in (it keeps me from caving to bigger temptations- I’ll focus on “but if I eat this now, I’d have to give up my candy bar this month and I’m looking forward to it”) but I’ve learned I can’t do it often or the urges build in a bad way.
      I actually use my disability and the pandemic to help stay on track. I’m not going out except to the pool for physical therapy and the pharmacy/medical appointments. I’ve even started doing pickup for groceries so I don’t go inside. So that helps tremendously. And the bit of plain chocolate I still keep in the house to help get rid of the taste left by certain pills (it really does work damn well) is kept in the basement garage in a hard to reach spot. It stops nonessential chocolate noshing quite well!

      My sister is addicted to buying things. Most of the times she can handle it, but sometimes she can't. That's when she calls me or my mom, and she has us telling her the truth: "You don't actually NEED it. Get away from it, walk away, go somewhere else, tell me about your day instead."
      It works. Sometimes I have to repeat "put it back, walk away" three times, but she eventually does it.
      I can't guarantee this works for everyone, but if you (or anyone you know) struggle with an addiction, you can try calling a loved one for support until you get away from your trigger. It might really help you overcome it, or at the very least, help you not give in to the temptation.
