    Good monitor but QD-OLED shouldn't be used in a bright room due to raised blacks, you should have got a WOLED for your setup.

      As long as you dont have light shining directly on the monitor it doesnt matter...

      I have the Alienware 2725df which uses the same panel as this MSI. AS long as you aren't gaming in a really bright room or keep the light behind and not in front of the panel you really don't need to worry about elevated black levels. These things look soo good. QDOLED for what it's worth to you also has slightly better text clarity vs a similar WOLED panel.

    But what if you can choose between an 1440p Oled monitor and a 2160p IPS monitor, both at 144hz.

    • @0353luca
      @0353luca Місяць тому +1

      1440p oled 100% Color is just so mutch better, ips doesnt have real Black, its dark gray, Even compared to va panels, ips excells at quick Color shifts in dark envirements, And thats a niche scenario, when its dark (night scenes and so on) you dont have bright Colors most of the time, so for movies va is better than ips, ips id just for competetive gaming, oled Beats va in movies, And Also Beats ips for gaming, so always choose oled if its a option, Only negative is burn in, And the price

  • @SchwartzBOSS

    color and contrast difference is huge over ips, but i doubt even the best counter striike player in the world can notice a difference between 0.3 and 1ms delay lol

      I actually returned my MSI for the Alienware because the MSI was showing very weird stuff and getting white line flickers in 2 weeks time. Dell is also better with their customer service regarding the OLED burn in compared to MSI. So yes most likely it is better

    • @clave2049
      @clave2049 Місяць тому

      they use the same panel tho

    • @theripper121
      @theripper121 Місяць тому

      Alienware and the MSI are very very similar and use the same panel. The small differences between the two comes down to manufacturer's implementations of certain features. Depending on the market you live in the MSI might be cheaper. In Europe that might be the opposite. The MSI I believe actually uses 2.1 hdmi ports vs 2.0 in the Alienware if that's important to you. The MSI also has an integrated kvm switch. Both has 3 year burn in protection in their warranties. The Alienware seems to be calibrated just a bit better for color accuracy out of the box. But the MSI is very close behind it, in that regard. Both are great displays. I have the Alienware variant.

    • @LilTofu
      @LilTofu Місяць тому

      @@theripper121In the eu the MSI is cheaper by a pretty big margin but it showed so many weird gimmicks which were not shown in the box or any videos. (Video flickers etc). It could’ve been part of the oled protection but the fact that it never said anything about the flickering I returned it out of fear. MSI service is also kinda poopy compared to dell themselves in my personal experience

      Oled is instant lil bro

    • @enmanuel1950
      @enmanuel1950 2 місяці тому

      @@rin0108_ You're both wrong. Not all gaming PC's latency feel the same and OLEDs do have near instant pixel (around 0.2-0.3 ms of response time for the best panels), but pixel response time ≠ input lag. The best IPS/TNs and OLED panels in the market right now offer somewhere around 2 ms of input latency which is quite good but that means there's no winner in this regard. That being said TN/IPS are for the time being better for competitive shooters.
      As I said before, input lag wise they're equal, but when it comes BFI (black frame insertion) IPS and TN are far ahead.
      When OLED finishes maturing as a technology and they offer the same refresh rates and BFI capabilities that IPS and TN offer OLEDs will absolutely destroy every other panel type in all aspects. But for now with the highest BFI rates being 120 Hz on OLEDs they haven't reached their full potential when it comes to motion clarity.
      I'd personally still choose a 1440p 360hz OLED over anything else cause having 500 Hz + Dyac only matters at the highest level of competition.

      @enmanuel1950 2 місяці тому

      @@A_hobo101 I don't know where you got this random "fact" that very few people can notice the difference between 240hz and 360 Hz.
      But there's plenty of people who recently tested the new 500+ Hz panels and could feel a difference. So I have my doubts regarding this claim. Especially cause there's people out there who even claim you can't see beyond 144 or even 60 Hz. How noticeable that difference is will depend if you have dedicated a lot of time to competitive shooters or not.
