@@heatnup Im at my slave job almost everyday. Really the only time I have to use the PC is at night. I can also control the ambient light in the room so raised black levels from ambient light shouldnt be an issue.
It’s funny that people talk about raised blacks like it’s an issue on this tech. Maybe you would notice it in a super bright room but why would you game in a super bright room if you care about picture quality on any tv/monitor? Makes no sense. If you’re gaming in a bright room, you probably don’t even need OLED. It’s all about contrast baby. Bright rooms are bad for that no matter what.
Hey BadSeed, you're 2 reviews were incredible. You helped me make a decision and I took the plunge and purchased the AW3225QF. I believe this will be a great companion to my AW 18M (sporting an Nvidia RTX 4090). I do have a question; would you connect via the DisplayPort or HDMI to get the absolute best performance? As an FYI, the laptop has a mini DisplayPort. Thx again and keep the videos coming!
Things still need to be done to make OLED a complete replacement for VA and IPS displays on desktops as there's still far too many static images when doing everyday computing. Every time I think about getting one, I usually have to remind myself of the burn in on various OLED devices I've had since 2008.
I really like your videos and trust your opinion. That’s why I really wish you would do chair review’s. I’m struggling to find something in my price range that will offer good support and last a long time. My price range isn’t particularly small it’s more so that I’m indecisive when it comes to large purchases.
the curvve is a little weird, first time with a curved monitor, makes it feel fish eyed or something. my biggest worry was it picking up light from around the room and luckily its not curved enough to do that. but it also has MANY issues
also no gsync or freesync LOL alienware sucks, never buy an alienware product. i love badseed but when he sees some of the other oleds coming out this year these will probly never see the light of day. im not a huge fan of asus, but their offerings are looking straight up superior so far.
I don't think you mentioned this but most of the 2024 OLED monitors shipping this year are still limited to HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4, which means you'll need to use DSC to run the max refresh rate. Unfortunately, DSC is still broken on Nvidia GPUs (black screens while gaming and/or alt tabbing). Not to mention some features are completely disabled while using DSC, like Nvidia DSR, DLDSR, and image scaling. They claim they're "looking into it" but until we hear more I would be hesitant to buy any of these new models. So far the only new QD-OLED monitor I've seen with DP 2.1 is the GIGABYTE AORUS FO32U2P, and if it reviews well that's the one I'll be purchasing! The next gen of Nvidia GPUs will almost certainly ship with DP 2.1, so I would like a little future-proofing if I'm going to drop $1000+ on a new monitor.
@@stonie8629 DSC quality is great but that's not the issue. Nvidia cards have black-screening issues when running DSC at high refresh rates. It's an Nvidia driver bug that hasn't been fixed for over a year. There's already reports of it happening on these new Alienware models as well.
I think it's ridiculous that these brand new top of the line monitors that cost upwards of 1k don't have dp 2.1. Especially when they're 4k 240 or 480hz+
@@Asian_Import hmm interesting, I’m not saying you are wrong, you are right. I currently have a 1440p 270hz monitor, if I upgraded to the 360hz OLED there’s a possibility I could experience that with my 4070?
@@temp1837 yeah it’s very weird, and also extremely aggravating because I love 27 inch monitors and the 2 upcoming monitors that will have dp 2.1(aorus and HP Omen) monitors which are 32 inch 4K, just want dp 2.1 with a 27 inch. AND I don’t even think the 480hz 1440p OLEDS releasing in the middle of the year will have dp2.1, frustrating.
Excellent review! The 32" looks like a very promising upgrade! BTW... ready for more Badseed V2 switches, loving the ones I have but need more for another build ;)
After trying this monitor, W-OLED is dead to me. There is no way back from QD-OLED; if you try it, you will be hooked on the insanely rich colors and butter smooth gaming action.
DP 2.1 should be standard by now. its literally backwards compatible so if you have a dp 1.4 gpu, it can run dp 1.4 with dsc instead of native 2.1 without dsc.
As with all the other monitors from CES this year, these look insane. One quick question though, I thought HDMI 2.1 was only rated for 4k@120hz? What are you using to get native 4k@240hz?
@@badseedtechyeah with display stream compression, why the heck are these cheap companies not just using displayport 2.1? Is it so hard to include? And you don't even point it out lol @badseedtech

As you mentioned, I am also quite curious about the other OLED panels coming out later this year - But this AW2725DF just really tickles my interest!
It really sucks the LG OLED monitors with HD 480hz mode have that horrible anti glare coating. So Dell will definitely get my money for this monitor shown.
Great video, thank you.
enjoy the raised blacks of qd-oled
@@heatnup Im at my slave job almost everyday. Really the only time I have to use the PC is at night. I can also control the ambient light in the room so raised black levels from ambient light shouldnt be an issue.
@@Kapono5150 weekends?
It’s funny that people talk about raised blacks like it’s an issue on this tech. Maybe you would notice it in a super bright room but why would you game in a super bright room if you care about picture quality on any tv/monitor? Makes no sense. If you’re gaming in a bright room, you probably don’t even need OLED. It’s all about contrast baby. Bright rooms are bad for that no matter what.
@@Ray-dl5mp I literally just ordered the 32 inch AW an hour ago. Super Excited but Super Nervous
This is my first video of yours i have seen, your way of dojng reviews is amazing, definitely subbed.
How do you think this stands up to the lg c3 for gaming besides the fact of higher refresh rate
Dope video, I'm still curious to see a video about the TV you use for editing
What is the brightest 32" 240hz OLED monitor? Thank you!
This guy never takes a breath this whole video
Very nice , but still VRR flicker . Are there any new mini led fald monitors to get excited about?
Curved monitor is a deal breaker for many. They had a perfect recipe with a good price point and early release and decided to ruin it.
the curvve is a little weird, first time with a curved monitor, makes it feel fish eyed or something. my biggest worry was it picking up light from around the room and luckily its not curved enough to do that. but it also has MANY issues
also no gsync or freesync LOL alienware sucks, never buy an alienware product. i love badseed but when he sees some of the other oleds coming out this year these will probly never see the light of day. im not a huge fan of asus, but their offerings are looking straight up superior so far.
@@scragglie gsync works on DP. Not HDMI right now
Great review my friend. Hit on all the spots the other reviews flew over.
The next gen of Nvidia GPUs will almost certainly ship with DP 2.1, so I would like a little future-proofing if I'm going to drop $1000+ on a new monitor.
displayport 1.4a can handle 1440p 360hz, and DSC is pretty much lossless with no visual quality loss.
Is there an ultra wide version?
1 of the best tech channels on youtube!!! Great content.
Appreciate that!
Excellent review! The 32" looks like a very promising upgrade! BTW... ready for more Badseed V2 switches, loving the ones I have but need more for another build ;)
I just pulled the trigger on the 32”
Going to use my neo g8 as a second monitor
I already bought the 32" should arrive on the 26th .can't wait.
I need this. Oled in person is crazy
Can you use NVIDIA g sync with this monitor
AW2725DF says it's not G-Sync compatible. Why isnt anybody mentioning this
When will this be available in the UK?
Can't wait to buy one in December when it gets released here!
Where do you live?
@Badseedtech heads up you have the PG27AQDM, which is a QHD 240Hz display, incorrectly listed as 4K WOLED in the slides @ 7:45
After trying this monitor, W-OLED is dead to me. There is no way back from QD-OLED; if you try it, you will be hooked on the insanely rich colors and butter smooth gaming action.
Will you be getting the udm model? Would love to see the comparison.
Im contemplating switching to 4k. The 32 4k is very tempting. You think an rtx4080 rog strix card would struggle keeping up with 4k 240hz??
So right now the 27 is the one to buy for Warzone on Xbox?
DP 2.1 should be standard by now. its literally backwards compatible so if you have a dp 1.4 gpu, it can run dp 1.4 with dsc instead of native 2.1 without dsc.
So far ive only seen QD OLED and glossy screens be worse than WOLED and matte finishes so im stoked that the 480hz is WOLED matte.
what's your favorite, the w oled 27 by Asus or this Alienware qd oled 27?
The only thing that puts me off is the curve and lack of support for dolby vision that is causing issues with hdr in pc gaming.
Awesome review, can't wait for your reviews on other OLED monitors 💯👌
As with all the other monitors from CES this year, these look insane. One quick question though, I thought HDMI 2.1 was only rated for 4k@120hz? What are you using to get native 4k@240hz?
Display Port 1.4 will get you 4k 240
@@badseedtechyeah with display stream compression, why the heck are these cheap companies not just using displayport 2.1? Is it so hard to include? And you don't even point it out lol @badseedtech
@@user-qn6fw8fg4btbh i dont get it either, I remember seeing articles about newer and newer versions of displayport, them overtaking hdmi 2.1 and everything
but 4090 is still only on dp 1.4a and so are all the monitors i've seen, everyone mentions dsc, when it seems that there are better alternatives
Im still within in my return window with the asus oled. Should I get the alien ware instead?
The fan setting seems just a test setting as it goes to off after selecting L1 or L2
I bought this monitor 3 days ago and im still watching videos on it lmaoo im so hyped
Just oerdered it is it a W ir should have waited ??
Nah its an absolute W. Congrats
@@badseedtech thanks man im excited supposedly coming in friday 😭😭😭 is it overkill for console though lol?
Been using Dell all my life, regardless what people say, they make good stuff. I enjoy my Dell screens and they are not even nearly as nice as these. But for productivity I am enjoying it. Games no problem and my eyes don't feel tired at the end of the work day. That speaks volumes. Seriously Go Dell! That said my Samsung displays share a lot of the quality the Dell screens have and I felt no need to replace any of them in my pc lab.
Glad I didn't drop money on last year's models of OLEDs.
Great review. So much information in such a little time. perfect pacing.
ugreen makes insanely good products. Would love to see some videos here covering and reviewing their various products
Bought the Alienware 2725DF. Super excited. loved it. On the second day it died. The monitor stayed black no matter what i did. The support communicates poorly... :(
Damm im thinking about buying it?
Any idea when these get released in the UK ?
What makes these new QD OLED monitors great is the fact that it comes with a glossy screen coating.
None of that nasty ass matte
Damnit! I so want this updated 3rd Gen oled panel, but 21:9 ultrawide format. I just can't go back to 16:9
The AW2725DF HAS VRR Flicker on certain games(Menu). It isnt that bad unless you plan on just sitting on menu/loading screen. Lol
@5:25 @BadSeed Tech, did u mean Aw2725DF Oled on top of the chart or is there a 25 inch oled coming ?
hey hope u doing well,
Are there any plans on covering the new Endgame Gear OP1/OP1-8k Mouse?
If not you should defently check the mouse out. Its a very cool "sequel" to the popular XM1.
(i know there was a propper sequel called MX2 but u get what im saying)
Any ETA on the comparison video of different HE keyboards? That space is heating up with competition and I'm interested to see what your take is!
I already have the 32" ordered!!
Almost ordered the 27" for the fps while gaming....but figured I might as well try 4K.
I'll be pushing my RTX4090/7800X3D to give me decent fps in MW3 !!
Can't wait.
What kind of frames are you getting in MW3 warzone if you play, I'm looking at building with those parts and was curious if I should get the 1440p or 4k?
@@rustygross6419I have both, if you have a 4090 you can get easily 240fps with the right settings so go for the 4k one, if you don’t have a 4090, go with 1440p
So what do you think ? Im in the same boat and already ordered the 32 but having second thoughts of staying at 27” 1440p for the higher framerates
With my 4090 and 7800x3d I’m getting 190-210 fps in MW3 depending on the map.
I’d say go for the 4K.
The picture is awesome and am getting close to the max of 240.
Very happy I went with the 32”.
BadSeed, Which one would you get if you could only choose one?
4k if you main single player games, 1440p if you play single player games as well as esport titles. 1440p OLED at this size is still going to look amazing, you cant go wrong with either if the two tbh.
Thoughts on the 32 vs a 42 LG c3 which are around 900ish last i checked?
hey bro, what do you think about the gigabyte oled, or would it be better to use an oled from lg like the c3 or c4 or from the same sony that have 42 inches, and in them you can turn off the auto dimming, greetings
Just the video i needed! I'm looking at these two plus the older AW3423DWF which is often on sale.
I really like that you inclusive the vrr Flicker, which i Hope the other Monitors do not have, but Most reviews don’t Cover that part.
Now your my go to guy, for my next Monitor, which will be a qd-oled this year ✌️
Ps: you have a very good ability to hype products (was even more convinced of the sennheiser 58x) after your video and i am satisfied with my Choice to this day. Keep it up!
