Certainly the best interview conducted with Triumph about this bike! After owning a 2020 Speed Triple RS where the QS was extra for about 6 months, I think I'm definitely gonna love this new Speed Triple...That extra 30 HP spread of power so low in the rev range makes for even easier road riding even with a passenger, never mind how much more competitive it will be track riding!
Looks great! I've never been completely sold on the bug eyes but they've finally perfect them and they fit. Works seamlessly into the rest of the bike. Kudos to anyone that manages to establish a relationship with this beautiful bike!
My thoughts exactly, it's about time that Triumph had the confidence to reintroduce some bolder colour schemes even if these were optional colour ways. Mind you i'm not exactly young!

Lots of information so I'll have to watch again. The bike looks great and sounds great as could be seen from the smile on your face. Why would anyone need more than 180hp on the road? As much HP as anyone would ever need in a road bike. Great vid cheers BOB.
Best Speed Triple. Especially that clean tail without the integrated exhaust, finally gone for my liking. Only thing is the price. At this price, there are simply too many options that’s equally enticing. I have no less than 6 bikes I want to buy at $12k range. 2 KTMs, 2 Aprilias, 1 Yamaha, 1 triumph. Very hard to justify 50% more price on power I can’t really use...

Good review, good to hear the Triumph top brass explaining some of the things :-D It looks very nice. I do like it. I can see why it's been upped to 178 BHP (Super Duke R etc.) and 10 kg less weight is always good. Keyless ignition now does the filler cap too, so not quite as pointless as on the old one, but I still don't need or want it. (battery has already gone flat on my keyfob, after 4 only months) It could do with some more colours. Like the white and red 2020 one, or just all red with white accents. The available colours could stop me from wanting one. I'm glad they've kept the 120 degree crank. I really didn't like the extra vibrations from the T planed crank Tiger. If this had the T plane crank, they'd never sell me one, even more so than the available colours. Fuel tanks can be resprayed ! I'm wondering how the new Euro 5 exhaust is going to sound as good as the old high level Arrow cans on the 2020 speed triple RS, and I do like the look of the high level under seat end cans on the 2020 one. Yeah, I get it that lowering the weight is good, but still. £15,100 is a fair price hike, I can't seem to tell if the quick shifter comes as standard. The Triumph website doesn't seem to offer it as a performance option (yet), so maybe it comes as standard. I don't think I need more than the 148 BHP on my "old" Speed Triple RS just yet, the major performance limitation on my Speed Triple sits on the riders seat, plus I'm now skint, so it'll be a long time before Triumph sell me one ! Bravo to Triumph for broadening their naked sportbike lineup. Totally needed to differentiate between models and eliminate overlap in price ranges. With the new Trident, they now have S-M-L (XL if you count the Rocket III). Now all they need is an XS in the 300cc range.
One negative about reducing rotational engine inertia ... that initial clutch release from a dead stop becomes a biatch. Maybe they have minimum rpm throttle support.
What an excellent vid. A couple years ago I would have snapped this up but I’m now looking for a sport tourer with a bit of wind protection and some bags. I’d love to see triumph get on board with the ST scene which I think will be making a comeback. Nakeds looks great but after an hour in the saddle at highway speeds they become fatiguing. I’ve gone through 3 nakeds in the last 5 years, one of which was an ‘18 Street Triple RS. I did the “adventure” thing - also a Triumph, but what I want is a sport tourer. Imagine this bike with optional snap-on sporty hard bags, and a half fairing...a Speed Triple RT. I’d be in. And no, the Tiger is not what I’m after. I want a real sport tourer.

i don't get why they didn't make the headlight the same as Rocket 3, it's just look plain in my perspective, just my opinion ovr it's look DOPE With Black, Red and Gold color combination
God that front looks sooo aggressive those gold forks are the best but from rear it lost the charm for me thi I adored those underseat exhaust yaa they were heavy and not so ergonomic but they give that rear a muscular look and now it just looks same as street triple those exhausts were the signature feature but at the end it's an awesome bike I would pick this over it's competition any day
This bike is beautiful but it needs electronic suspension to compete at that price point. Any sensible buyer would go for the Aprilia Tuono Factory. The Tuono sounds a lot better as well. They say that the Speed Triple is a road bike but they decided to not go with electronic suspension due to its increased mass???? They are limiting their customer base to younger hooligans who may not be able to afford this bike.
Don't worry those hooligans are usually attracted to orange bikes. Haven't you heard the kind of chaos those orange bikes, especially the single cylinder ones make in every neighborhoods they go? No wonder they are clamping down on noise emission.
I don't think the question is if the 180hp is enough to compete with the modern supernakeds, but if the bike is actually as good as the best real "modern" supernaked, the mighty Tuono. 200+hps are heavy and mostly straighline guided, ZH2, or too expensive not to be considered a golden totem to keep on the garage for sunny days, Streetfighter and MV.
No one has asked about the lack of suspension linkage on the rear shock. Looks like it's directly between the swingarm and frame. Seems like a downgrade, none of the reviewers I've seen have asked about it, although I get the feeling this release was very controlled and there were limited things people are allowed to ask about.
The last bike had high exhausts, now it seems that low single exhaust is better?.....I reckon its a fashion statement. Ducati race bikes in the 90s had high pipes.
Hmm, exhaust pipes all canted to the right, leading back to a single-sided exhaust on the right side, and 'pissed-off alien robot cat' headlights... That 'angry face' look that seemingly EVERY CAR AND MOTORCYCLE BEING MADE currently has... How exciting! Ha...ha... I tell ya, that's the thing I love the MOST about the new KTM's, especially the 790 and 890 Adventure bikes; they have that 'friendly alien robot butler' face, that I find very endearing... But seriously, one thing I really like about the 1050 is the 'bucking the trend' under-seat exhausts, and the not-quite-so-pissed-off headlights, though my favorite is still the previous generation, with the two round headlights, made it look like a great big bug, like a giant jumping spider..! Still, if I had the simoleons, I'd buy this new 1200RS in a heartbeat...!
Thanks for asking the relevant questions about the new engine. That's the heart! Electronics mumbo jumbo doesn't mean squat if you don't know how the engine is built, in my opinion. Might have to trade my 09 S3 in...maybe.
Not a fan of the exhaust or the bug eyes. Why do Triumph and KTM insist on the insect/alien look? Btw, I like the 2006-10 edition best and am desperately looking for a low mileage one
First of all I love Triumph but 1 it definitely needs the sport screen but that’s ok it’s available as a accessory 2 I wish they didn’t put the big RS decal on the tank I’d want it without that 3 the exhaust looks like a dust bin and would have to go . I much prefer the look of the 1050 RS
Good Vid, More colors would be nice. . .Bit like Model `T` Ford. .any color as long as its Black. . oh n Grey. . .Boring Ha Ha (mines Red, 2010 round lights) . . . .Cracking bike too. . .don,t think I`ll swop. . . .

Optimize the exhaust. No need to modify anything after purchase at least not expensive engine mods
More reason to go with Trident 660!
Great video looks and sounds fantastic 🇬🇧👍
My pick would be the RED or BRG
Ordered mine...cant wait!
Does it actually come with my triumph fitted as standard? I thought it was an optional extra.
God that front looks sooo aggressive those gold forks are the best but from rear it lost the charm for me thi I adored those underseat exhaust yaa they were heavy and not so ergonomic but they give that rear a muscular look and now it just looks same as street triple those exhausts were the signature feature but at the end it's an awesome bike I would pick this over it's competition any day
I'll take one... in Roulette Green.
Love but don't know how much complaint does it have.but I love the trident it's to good and classy.
Don't worry guys, it's only the stock exhaust..........
Looks like a lovely machine, spoilt by the exhaust!
You mean spoiled by emission requirements.
Quando chegará ao Brasil?
When's the test? It was to be released in March - it's April now..
No word yet - think they had to cancel the proper overseas launch.
The Arrow exhaust on the 2020 sounded a whole lot throatier, from what I can tell just listening to the videos. Still, looks pretty awesome.
I just eagerly want to have it that bike
I'm in-between this and the MT10SP
the bike is a big hit. the exhaust is a miss.
great vlog bike looks awesome
I don't think the question is if the 180hp is enough to compete with the modern supernakeds, but if the bike is actually as good as the best real "modern" supernaked, the mighty Tuono. 200+hps are heavy and mostly straighline guided, ZH2, or too expensive not to be considered a golden totem to keep on the garage for sunny days, Streetfighter and MV.
Love Bonneville's ...but this looks like bug's Life...I'll take the 2021 Cb1000 R
No one has asked about the lack of suspension linkage on the rear shock. Looks like it's directly between the swingarm and frame. Seems like a downgrade, none of the reviewers I've seen have asked about it, although I get the feeling this release was very controlled and there were limited things people are allowed to ask about.
Was wondering same. Street still has one. Seems weird.
Love it apart from the colours absolutely hideous & that headlight hideous too apart from that awesome great video!! 👌🏻👍🏻
Love this bike. Still like under belly muffler vs large muffler on side of bike.
There'll be aftermarket options for sure. And with a remap and removing all the euro 5 gubbins this will be a beast!
I think one should swap that headlight for a traditional round one.
They've been saying that for, oh, 22 years or so. I love em.
What a great review !
Btw, I like the 2006-10
edition best and am desperately looking for a low mileage one
Atleast ktm bikes looks cool and more aggressive than the triumph
@@marvelordc5060 At least triumph didn't sell their soul to china.
Sold mine 18 months ago. An awesome bike, I loved it.
Does it have cruise control as standard?
Amazing bike 😍😍
This is art👏🏻
First of all I love Triumph but 1 it definitely needs the sport screen but that’s ok it’s available as a accessory 2 I wish they didn’t put the big RS decal on the tank I’d want it without that 3 the exhaust looks like a dust bin and would have to go . I much prefer the look of the 1050 RS
I’m still getting one though 😂
Good Vid, More colors would be nice. . .Bit like Model `T` Ford. .any color as long as its Black. . oh n Grey. . .Boring Ha Ha (mines Red, 2010 round lights) . . . .Cracking bike too. . .don,t think I`ll swop. . . .
Outstanding review
Can't wait to by one second hand in 5 or 6 years time
Absolute dream
What an Animal!!! 😳. Looks and sounds awesome! Would generally scare the shit out of me! 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤣. I look forward to a test ride though 👍🏻
Beautiful Name 😍
Love it 👍🏻 ✨❤️✨🏁🏁🏁
Want one!!! Even with those colours! Why not have one bright colour scheme? Like my old 99’ lime green. 😜
👏👏..Great Review
I would go with a grey
